< Hiob 17 >
1 Nu te nye gbɔgbɔ ŋu belibelibeli, nye ŋkekewo hã le kpuie eye yɔdo le lalayem.
“My spirit is consumed. My days are extinct and the grave is ready for me.
2 Vavãe, fewuɖulawo ƒo xlãm, ele be nye ŋkuwo nanɔ woƒe amenuɖiaɖia ŋu.
Surely there are mockers with me. My eye dwells on their provocation.
3 “O Mawu, tsɔ ŋugbedodo si dim nèle la nam. Ame kae gali si ade megbe nam?
“Now give a pledge. Be collateral for me with yourself. Who is there who will strike hands with me?
4 Ètu woƒe susu ɖe gɔmesese ŋu eya ta màna woƒe alɔ nade dzi o.
For you have hidden their heart from understanding, therefore you will not exalt them.
5 Ne ame aɖe gbe exɔlɔ̃wo ɖe nu si woanae ta la, viawo ƒe ŋkuwo atsi.
He who denounces his friends for plunder, even the eyes of his children will fail.
6 “Mawu tsɔm wɔ lodonue na ame sia ame, ame si ƒe ŋkume amewo ɖea ta ɖo gɔ̃ hã.
“But he has made me a byword of the people. They spit in my face.
7 Nuxaxa na be nye ŋkuwo dzi tsyɔ eye nye ameti blibo la mele abe vɔvɔli ene.
My eye also is dim by reason of sorrow. All my members are as a shadow.
8 Ame dzɔdzɔewo ƒe mo wɔ yaa le esia ta; dɔ me ve ame maɖifɔwo ɖe mawumavɔ̃lawo ŋuti.
Upright men will be astonished at this. The innocent will stir himself up against the godless.
9 Ke hã la, ame dzɔdzɔewo alé woƒe mɔwo me ɖe asi eye asi dzadzɛtɔwo akpɔ ŋusẽ ɖe edzi.
Yet the righteous will hold to his way. He who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.
10 “Mi katã mitrɔ va ko, migadze agbagba kpɔ! Gake nyemakpɔ nunyala aɖeke le mia dome o.
But as for you all, come back. I will not find a wise man amongst you.
11 Nye ŋkekewo va yi, nye ɖoɖowo me gblẽ eye nenema kee nye nye dzi ƒe didiwo hã.
My days are past. My plans are broken off, as are the thoughts of my heart.
12 Ame siawo trɔ zã wòzu ŋkeke, ke esi viviti do ɖe wo la, wogblɔ be, ‘Kekeli tsɔ ɖe mía gbɔ’
They change the night into day, saying ‘The light is near’ in the presence of darkness.
13 Ne aƒe si ko mele mɔ kpɔm na la nye yɔdo, ne meɖo aba ɖe viviti me, (Sheol )
If I look for Sheol as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness, (Sheol )
14 ne megblɔ na zãnuxɔxɔ be, ‘Wòe nye fofonye,’ eye megblɔ na ŋɔvi be, ‘Wòe nye danye’ alo ‘Wòe nye nɔvinye nyɔnu’ la,
if I have said to corruption, ‘You are my father,’ and to the worm, ‘My mother,’ and ‘My sister,’
15 ekema afi ka nye mɔkpɔkpɔ la le?
where then is my hope? As for my hope, who will see it?
16 Ɖe wòayi ɖe ku ƒe agbowo mea? Ɖe nye kplii míayi tome ɖekaea?” (Sheol )
Shall it go down with me to the gates of Sheol, or descend together into the dust?” (Sheol )
