< Yeremia 8 >
1 “Yehowa be, ‘Le ɣe ma ɣi la, Yuda fiawo kple woƒe dumegãwo ƒe ƒuwo, nunɔlawo kple nyagblɔɖilawo ƒe ƒuwo kple Yerusalem nɔlawo ƒe ƒuwo la, woaɖe wo le woƒe yɔdowo me.
At that time, says the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
2 Woasia wo, eye ɣe aɖu wo, ɣleti kple dziƒoŋunuwo aklẽ ɖe wo dzi, nu siwo wotsɔ lɔlɔ̃ na hesubɔ nu siwo yome wodze hebia nu le wo gbɔ eye wode ta agu na wo. Womafɔ wo alo aɖi wo o, ke boŋ woanɔ abe gbeɖuɖɔ ene anɔ anyigba.
And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
3 Afi sia afi si manya wo aɖo ɖo la, dukɔ vɔ̃ɖi sia ƒe ame mamlɛawo adi ku wu agbe.’” Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ lae gblɔe.
And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places where I have driven them, says the LORD of hosts.
4 Gblɔ na wo be, “Ale Yehowa gblɔe nye esi: “‘Ne amewo dze anyi la, ɖe womegafɔna oa? Ne wotra mɔ la, ɖe womegatrɔna gbɔna oa?
Moreover you shall say unto them, Thus says the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?
5 Ekema nu ka ta ame siawo trɔ dzo ɖo? Nu ka ta Yerusalem le megbe dem ɣe sia ɣi? Woku ɖe beble ŋuti eye wogbe be yewomatrɔ o.
Why then is this people of Jerusalem slides back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.
6 Meɖo to nyuie, gake womele nu si le eteƒe la gblɔm o. Ame ɖeka pɛ hã meli si eƒe vɔ̃ɖivɔ̃ɖi venɛ, eye wògblɔna be, “Nu kae nye esi mehewɔ o?” Ame sia ame lé eƒe mɔ tsɔ abe sɔe lũ ɖe aʋa me ene.
I hearkened and heard, but they spoke not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rushes into the battle.
7 Akpaviã le yame ke hã nya eƒe azãgbewo, akpakpa, sagbadre kple tsalĩ, nya ɣeyiɣi si wòle be woaʋu adzo. Gake nye dukɔ ya menya Yehowa ƒe ɖoɖowo o.
Yea, the stork in the heaven knows her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
8 “‘Aleke wɔ miate ŋu agblɔ be, “Míenye nunyalawo, elabena Yehowa ƒe se la le mía si,” evɔ le nyateƒe me, agbalẽfialawo ƒe nuŋlɔti trɔe wòzu aʋatso’ o?
How do all of you say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
9 Ŋu akpe nunyalawo, woƒe mo atsi dãa, eye mɔ aɖe wo. Esi wogbe Yehowa ƒe nya la, nunya ka ƒomevie le wo si?
The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
10 Eya ta maxɔ wo srɔ̃wo atsɔ na ŋutsu bubuwo eye maxɔ woƒe agblewo atsɔ na amedzrowo. Tso ɖeviawo dzi va se ɖe tsitsiawo dzi, wo katã le ŋu biãm ɖe viɖe ŋu. Nyagblɔɖilawo kple Nunɔlawo siaa nye ameblelawo.
Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely.
11 Wobla abi na nye dukɔ abe ɖe menye abi gã aɖeke wònye o ene. Wole gbɔgblɔm be, ‘Ŋutifafa, ŋutifafa’, evɔ wòhenye ŋutifafa aɖeke meli o hafi.
For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
12 Ɖe woƒe ŋunyɔnu siwo wɔm wole la le ŋu kpem na woa? Ao, ŋukpe ɖeka pɛ hã mele mo na wo o eye womenya ale si woƒe mo natsi dãae gɔ̃ hã o. Eya ta woatsi aʋatsilawo dome. Ne mele to hem na wo la, woaƒo wo aƒu anyi.” Yehowae gblɔe.
Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, says the LORD.
I will surely consume them, says the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
14 “Nu ka ta mienɔ anyi ɖe afi sia ɖo? Miƒo ƒu! Mina míasi ayi ɖe du sesẽwo me ne míatsrɔ̃ ɖe afi ma! Elabena Yehowa, míaƒe Mawu la ɖoe ɖi be miatsrɔ̃ eye wotsɔ aɖitsi na mí be miano elabena míewɔ nu vɔ̃.
Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God has put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against the LORD.
15 Míekpɔ mɔ na ŋutifafa gake nu nyui aɖeke meva o. Míekpɔ mɔ na dɔyɔyɔ gake ŋɔdzi koe li.
We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of health, and behold trouble!
The snorting of his horses was heard from Dan: the whole land trembled at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones; for they are come, and have devoured the land, and all that is in it; the city, and those that dwell therein.
17 “Kpɔ ɖa, madɔ da vɔ̃ɖiwo ɖe mia dome. Da siwo miate ŋu asa gbe ade o eye woaɖu mi.” Yehowae gblɔe.
For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, says the LORD.
18 Oo, nye Akɔfala le xaxa me. Nu te nye dzi ŋu le menye.
When I would comfort myself against sorrow, my heart is faint in me.
19 Ɖo to nye dukɔ ƒe avifafa tso anyigba didi aɖe dzi, “Ɖe Yehowa mele Zion oa? Ɖe Fia la megale afi ma oa?” “Nu ka ta wotsɔ woƒe aklamakpakpɛwo kple dutalegba maɖinuwo do dziku nam ɖo?”
Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people because of them that dwell in a far country: Is not the LORD in Zion? is not her king in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their graven images, and with strange vanities?
20 “Nuŋeɣi va yi, eye dzomeŋɔli hã va yi, gake womeɖe mi o.”
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
21 Esi wogbã nye dukɔ ta la, nye hã megbã, mexa nu eye dzidzi ƒom.
For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment has taken hold on me.
22 Ɖe dɔyɔmi mele Gilead oa? Gbedala aɖeke mele afi ma oa? Ke nu ka ta nye dukɔ ƒe abi mele kukum o?
Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
