< Yeremia 50 >
1 Esia nye nya si Yehowa gblɔ to Nyagblɔɖila Yeremia dzi ku ɖe Babilonia kple Babiloniatɔwo ƒe anyigba ŋuti:
The word that the LORD spoke concerning Babylon, concerning the land of the Chaldeans, by Jeremiah the prophet.
2 “Miɖe gbeƒãe eye mido kpoe le dukɔwo dome, mikɔ aflaga dzi, ne miado bobloe; migagbe nya la katã gbɔgblɔ o, ke boŋ migblɔ be, ‘Woaxɔ Babilonia, ŋukpe alé Bel eye ŋɔdzi alé Marduk vevie. Woado ŋukpe eƒe legbawo eye ŋɔdzi alé eƒe aklamakpakpɛwo.’
“Declare amongst the nations and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and don’t conceal; say, ‘Babylon has been taken, Bel is disappointed, Merodach is dismayed! Her images are disappointed. Her idols are dismayed.’
Ame aɖeke manɔ edzi o, amewo kple lãwo siaa asi adzo.”
For a nation comes up out of the north against her, which will make her land desolate, and no one will dwell in it. They have fled. They are gone, both man and animal.
4 Yehowa be, “Le ŋkeke mawo me, le ɣe ma ɣi me la, Israelviwo kple Yudatɔwo siaa awɔ ɖeka ava Yehowa, woƒe Mawu la gbɔ kple avi.
“In those days, and in that time,” says the LORD, “the children of Israel will come, they and the children of Judah together; they will go on their way weeping, and will seek the LORD their God.
5 Woabia Zion ƒe mɔ ta ase eye woatrɔ woƒe mo ɖo ɖe egbɔ. Woava eye woabla nubabla mavɔ kple Yehowa, nubabla si womaŋlɔ be akpɔ o.
They will enquire concerning Zion with their faces turned towards it, saying, ‘Come, and join yourselves to the LORD in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.’
6 “Nye dukɔ le abe alẽ tatrawo ene, woƒe kplɔlawoe kplɔ wo trae eye wona wole tsatsam le towo dzi. Wole tsaglãla tsam le towo kple togbɛwo dzi eye woŋlɔ woawo ŋutɔ ƒe nɔƒe be.
My people have been lost sheep. Their shepherds have caused them to go astray. They have turned them away on the mountains. They have gone from mountain to hill. They have forgotten their resting place.
All who found them have devoured them. Their adversaries said, ‘We are not guilty, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of righteousness, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.’
8 “Misi do go le Babilonia, midzo le Babiloniatɔwo ƒe anyigba dzi eye minɔ abe agbowo le alẽhawo ŋgɔ ene,
“Flee out of the middle of Babylon! Go out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the male goats before the flocks.
9 elabena made adã ta me na dukɔ siwo le anyiehenyigba dzi ɖe Babilonia ŋu eye woawɔ ɖeka aho ɖe eŋu. Woava aƒu asaɖa anyi ɖe eŋu eye woava lée tso anyiehe gome. Woƒe aŋutrɔwo magbɔ ƒuƒlu o, elabena woanɔ abe ame siwo bi ɖe aʋawɔwɔ me la tɔwo ene.
For, behold, I will stir up and cause to come up against Babylon a company of great nations from the north country; and they will set themselves in array against her. She will be taken from there. Their arrows will be as of an expert mighty man. None of them will return in vain.
Yehowae gblɔe.
Chaldea will be a prey. All who prey on her will be satisfied,” says the LORD.
11 “Esi mi ame siwo nye avuzi le nye domenyinu dzi, kpɔ dzidzɔ, hetso aseye eye esi mieti kpo abe nyinɔvi si le bli nyɔm ene, hexlɔ̃ abe sɔtsuwo ene ta la,
“Because you are glad, because you rejoice, O you who plunder my heritage, because you are wanton as a heifer that treads out the grain, and neigh as strong horses,
12 Ŋukpe gã aɖe ava mia dada dzi eye ame si dzi mi, woado vloe. Anye suetɔ le dukɔwo dome, azu gbegbe, kuɖiɖinyigba kple dzogbe.
your mother will be utterly disappointed. She who bore you will be confounded. Behold, she will be the least of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
Because of the LORD’s wrath she won’t be inhabited, but she will be wholly desolate. Everyone who goes by Babylon will be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
14 “Mi ame siwo daa aŋutrɔ, midze aʋa ɖe Babilonia ŋu. Mida aŋutrɔe! Midae, ɖeke megasusɔ o, elabena ewɔ nu vɔ̃ ɖe Yehowa ŋu.
Set yourselves in array against Babylon all around, all you who bend the bow; shoot at her. Spare no arrows, for she has sinned against the LORD.
15 Miɖe to ɖee miado ɣli ɖe eta! Ena ta, eƒe gbetakpɔxɔwo mu dze anyi eye wogbã eƒe gliwo ƒu anyi. Esi wònye Yehowa ƒe hlɔ̃biabiae ta la, mibia hlɔ̃e; miwɔe nɛ abe ale si wòwɔe na ame bubuwo ene.
Shout against her all around. She has submitted herself. Her bulwarks have fallen. Her walls have been thrown down, for it is the vengeance of the LORD. Take vengeance on her. As she has done, do to her.
16 Mitsrɔ̃ nukuƒãla kple nuŋela kple eƒe nuŋehɛ siaa le Babilonia le nuŋeɣi. Le nugblẽla ƒe yi ta la, ame sia ame netrɔ yi eya ŋutɔ ƒe amewo gbɔ, eye ame sia ame nesi yi eya ŋutɔ ƒe anyigba dzi.
Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him who handles the sickle in the time of harvest. For fear of the oppressing sword, they will each return to their own people, and they will each flee to their own land.
17 “Israel nye alẽha si dzatawo ɖe ɖe nu, eye wokaka gbẽe. Ame gbãtɔ si vuvui lae nye Asiria fia ame mamlɛtɔ si gbã eƒe ƒuwo lae nye Babilonia fia Nebukadnezar.”
“Israel is a hunted sheep. The lions have driven him away. First, the king of Assyria devoured him, and now at last Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones.”
18 Eya ta ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ, Israel ƒe Mawu la gblɔe nye esi: “Mahe to na Babilonia fia kple eƒe anyigba abe ale si mehe to na Asiria ene.
Therefore the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: “Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.
19 Ke matrɔ Israel agbɔe va eya ŋutɔ ƒe gbe dama dzi, aɖu gbe le Karmel kple Basan eye akpɔ ƒoɖiɖi le Efraim kple Gilead togbɛwo dzi.”
I will bring Israel again to his pasture, and he will feed on Carmel and Bashan. His soul will be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and in Gilead.
20 Yehowa be, “Le ŋkeke mawo me, le ɣe ma ɣi me, woatsa, adi Israel ƒe agɔdzedze gake womakpɔ ɖeke o eye woadi Yuda ƒe nu vɔ̃wo gake womakpɔ ɖeke o, elabena matsɔe ake ame susɔe siwo megblẽ ɖi.”
In those days, and in that time,” says the LORD, “the iniquity of Israel will be sought for, and there will be none, also the sins of Judah, and they won’t be found; for I will pardon them whom I leave as a remnant.
21 Yehowa be, “Wɔ avu kple Merataim kple ame siwo le Pekod. Ti wo yome, wu wo eye nàtsrɔ̃ wo keŋkeŋ. Wɔ nu siwo katã ƒe se mede na wò.
“Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod. Kill and utterly destroy after them,” says the LORD, “and do according to all that I have commanded you.
22 Aʋaɣli le anyigba dzi, eye gbegblẽ gã si le edzi yim la ƒe hoowɔwɔ le ɖiɖim.
A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.
How the hammer of the whole earth is cut apart and broken! How Babylon has become a desolation amongst the nations!
24 O Babilonia, metre mɔ na wò eye mɔ ɖe wò hafi nèva nya gɔ̃ hã. Woke ɖe ŋuwò eye wolé wò elabena ètsi tsitre ɖe Yehowa ŋu.
I have laid a snare for you, and you are also taken, Babylon, and you weren’t aware. You are found, and also caught, because you have fought against the LORD.
25 Yehowa ʋu eƒe aʋawɔnuwo ƒe ʋɔ eye wòɖe eƒe dɔmedzoe helĩhelĩ ƒe aʋawɔnu do goe, elabena dɔ le Aƒetɔ Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la, ŋu wòawɔ le Babiloniatɔwo ƒe anyigba dzi.
The LORD has opened his armoury, and has brought out the weapons of his indignation; for the Lord, GOD of Armies, has a work to do in the land of the Chaldeans.
26 Mitso adzɔge miava ƒo ɖe edzi. Migbã eƒe nuɖuɖudzraɖoƒewo, milɔe ƒo ƒu abe ale si wolia kɔ agblemenukuwo ene. Mitsrɔ̃e keŋkeŋ eye migasusɔ ame ɖeka hɔ̃ɔ hã ɖi o.
Come against her from the farthest border. Open her storehouses. Cast her up as heaps. Destroy her utterly. Let nothing of her be left.
27 Miwu eƒe nyitsu viwo katã; mikplɔ wo yi lãwuƒee! Baba na wo! Elabena woƒe ŋkeke la ɖo, ɣeyiɣi la de na wo be woaxɔ tohehe.
Kill all her bulls. Let them go down to the slaughter. Woe to them! For their day has come, the time of their visitation.
28 Miɖo to miase Babilonia ƒe aʋaléleawo kple aʋasilawo ƒe nya si gblɔm wole le Zion tso ale si Yehowa, míaƒe Mawu la bia hlɔ̃ woe, ebia hlɔ̃ na eƒe gbedoxɔ.
Listen to those who flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.
29 “Miyɔ aŋutrɔdalawo vɛ, ne woaɖe to ɖe Babilonia, ame siwo katã hea da me la neva. Miva ɖe to ɖee godoo va kpe, migana ame aɖeke nasi o. Mixe nu siwo katã wòwɔ la ƒe fe nɛ, miwɔe nɛ abe ale si eya hã wɔe na ame bubuwo ene. Elabena edze aglã ɖe Yehowa, Israel ƒe Kɔkɔetɔ la ŋu.
“Call together the archers against Babylon, all those who bend the bow. Encamp against her all around. Let none of it escape. Pay her back according to her work. According to all that she has done, do to her; for she has been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel.
Yehowae gblɔe.
Therefore her young men will fall in her streets. All her men of war will be brought to silence in that day,” says the LORD.
31 Aƒetɔ Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ lae gblɔ be, “Kpɔ ɖa, metso ɖe ŋutiwò, O dadala, elabena wò ŋkeke la va ɖo, wò toheɣi ɖo.
“Behold, I am against you, you proud one,” says the Lord, GOD of Armies; “for your day has come, the time that I will visit you.
The proud one will stumble and fall, and no one will raise him up. I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it will devour all who are around him.”
33 Ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la, gblɔe nye esi: “Wote Israelviwo kple Yudatɔwo siaa ɖe anyi. Ame siwo katã ɖe aboyo wo la lé wo goŋgoŋ, eye wogbe asiɖeɖe le wo ŋu.
The LORD of Armies says: “The children of Israel and the children of Judah are oppressed together. All who took them captive hold them fast. They refuse to let them go.
34 Evɔ la, woƒe Xɔnametɔ nye ŋusẽtɔ hafi, Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔe nye eŋkɔ. Aʋli wo ta vevie, ale be wòana gbɔdzɔe woƒe anyigba, gake ana ame siwo katã le Babilonia la natsi dzimaɖi.”
Their Redeemer is strong. The LORD of Armies is his name. He will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
35 Yehowa be, “Yi le Babiloniatɔwo yome! Etso ɖe ame siwo le Babilonia, woƒe dumegãwo kple woƒe nunyalawo ŋuti!
“A sword is on the Chaldeans,” says the LORD, “and on the inhabitants of Babylon, on her princes, and on her wise men.
36 Yi atso ɖe eƒe aʋatsonyagblɔɖilawo ŋu eye woazu bometsilawo. Yi ati woƒe kalẽtɔwo yome eye ŋɔdzi alé wo!
A sword is on the boasters, and they will become fools. A sword is on her mighty men, and they will be dismayed.
37 Yi atso ɖe eƒe sɔwo, tasiaɖamwo kple amedzro siwo katã wotsɔ aʋae la ŋuti eye woanɔ abe nyɔnuwo ene! Yi atso ɖe eƒe kesinɔnuwo ŋu eye woaha wo!
A sword is on their horses, on their chariots, and on all the mixed people who are in the middle of her; and they will become as women. A sword is on her treasures, and they will be robbed.
38 Kuɖiɖi neto eƒe tɔsisiwo me, ne woamie ƒiaƒiaƒia, elabena enye anyigba si yɔ fũu kple legbawo, legba siwo adze aɖaʋa le ŋɔdzi ta.”
A drought is on her waters, and they will be dried up; for it is a land of engraved images, and they are mad over idols.
39 Yehowa be, “Ava eme be lã wɔadãwo kple amegaxiwo anɔ afi ma, eye golowo hã atso aƒe ɖe afi ma. Maganye amenɔƒe alo amewo magatso aƒe ɖi akpɔ o, tso dzidzime yi dzidzime.
Therefore the wild animals of the desert with the wolves will dwell there. The ostriches will dwell therein. It will be inhabited no more forever, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation.
40 Anɔ ko abe ale si metsrɔ̃ Sodom kple Gomora kple du siwo ƒo xlã wo lae ene, ale be ame aɖeke magatso aƒe ɖi o eye ame aɖeke manɔ afi ma hã o.”
As when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and its neighbour cities,” says the LORD, “so no man will dwell there, neither will any son of man live therein.
41 “Kpɔ ɖa! Aʋakɔ aɖe ho tso anyiehe gbɔna, wode adã ta me na dukɔ gã aɖe kple fia gbogbo aɖewo tso anyigba ƒe mlɔenuwo ke gbɔna.
“Behold, a people comes from the north. A great nation and many kings will be stirred up from the uttermost parts of the earth.
42 Wogbɔna kple aŋutrɔ kple akplɔ. Woƒe ta me sẽ, eye womekpɔa nublanui o. Esi wole woƒe sɔwo dzi gbɔna la, woƒe hoowɔwɔ le abe atsiaƒue dze agbo ene. Wobla akpa abe ame siwo dze aʋa ɖi ene be woava akpe aʋa kpli wò, Oo, Babilonia vinyɔnu.
They take up bow and spear. They are cruel, and have no mercy. Their voice roars like the sea. They ride on horses, everyone set in array, as a man to the battle, against you, daughter of Babylon.
43 Babilonia fia se nya tso wo ŋu xoxo eye eƒe lãme fa. Vɔvɔ̃ ɖoe eye wòse veve abe nyɔnu si le ku lém la ene.
The king of Babylon has heard the news of them, and his hands become feeble. Anguish has taken hold of him, pains as of a woman in labour.
44 Abe dzata si do go tso Yɔdan ƒe ave dodo me, hege ɖe gbe dama nyui dzi ene la, nenema maɖe Babilonia ɖe nu tso eƒe anyigba dzi zi ɖeka kpoyi! Ame kae nye ame tiatia si madɔ wòawɔ esia? Ame kae le abe nye ene eye ame kae ate ŋu anɔ te ɖe nunye? Alẽkplɔla ka ate ŋu atsi tsitre ɖe ŋunye?”
Behold, the enemy will come up like a lion from the thickets of the Jordan against the strong habitation; for I will suddenly make them run away from it. Whoever is chosen, I will appoint him over it, for who is like me? Who will appoint me a time? Who is the shepherd who can stand before me?”
Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD that he has taken against Babylon; and his purposes that he has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely they will drag them away, even the little ones of the flock. Surely he will make their habitation desolate over them.
46 Babilonia xɔxɔ ƒe ɣli ana anyigba naʋuʋu, eye eƒe aviɣli aɖi le dukɔwo dome.
The earth trembles at the noise of the taking of Babylon. The cry is heard amongst the nations.
