< Yesaya 59 >
1 Kpɔ ɖa, Yehowa ƒe alɔ mele kpuie akpa be mate ŋu aɖe ame, alo eƒe to mexe be mate ŋu ase nu o;
Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear.
2 ke boŋ miaƒe nu vɔ̃woe ma mi kple miaƒe Mawu dome. Miaƒe nu vɔ̃woe na wòɣla eƒe ŋkume ɖe mi be maɖo to mi o,
But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear.
3 elabena miaƒe asiwo ƒo ʋu, eye vodada le asibidɛ ŋu na mi. Miaƒe nuyiwo da alakpa, eye miaƒe aɖewo gblɔ nya tovowo.
For your hands are stained with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue mutters injustice.
4 Ame aɖeke meli si gblɔna be wometso afia dzɔdzɔe o. Ame aɖeke meʋlia eɖokui ta to mɔ dzɔdzɔe dzi o, ke boŋ woɖoa ŋu ɖe nyahehe dzodzrowo ŋu. Wodaa alakpa. Wofɔa fuɖename ƒe fu hedzia nu vɔ̃ɖi.
No one calls for justice; no one pleads his case honestly. They rely on empty pleas; they tell lies; they conceive mischief and give birth to iniquity.
5 Woƒoa da ƒe aziwo, eye wolɔ̃a yiyiɖɔ. Ame si ɖu woƒe aziwo la, aku, eye ne ɖe gbã la, ƒli ado tso eme.
They hatch the eggs of vipers and weave a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die; crack one open, and a viper is hatched.
6 Woƒe yiyiɖɔ menyo na avɔ o. Womate ŋu atsyɔ nu si wowɔ la o. Woƒe dɔwɔwɔwo nye dɔwɔwɔ vɔ̃ɖiwo, eye nu baɖa wɔwɔ le woƒe asiwo me.
Their cobwebs cannot be made into clothing, and they cannot cover themselves with their works. Their deeds are sinful deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands.
7 Woƒe afɔwo ƒua du gena ɖe nu vɔ̃ me, eye woɖea abla le ʋu maɖifɔ kɔkɔ ɖi me. Woƒe susuwo nye susu vɔ̃ɖiwo. Gbegblẽ kple tsɔtsrɔ̃ bɔ ɖe woƒe mɔwo dzi.
Their feet run to evil; they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are sinful thoughts; ruin and destruction lie in their wake.
8 Womenya ŋutifafa ƒe mɔ o. Nu dzɔdzɔe wɔwɔ mele woƒe mɔwo dzi o. Wotrɔ woƒe mɔwo wozu mɔ gɔglɔ̃wo, eye ame siwo azɔ wo dzi ayi la, manya ŋutifafa o,
The way of peace they have not known, and there is no justice in their tracks. They have turned them into crooked paths; no one who treads on them will know peace.
9 eya ta nuteƒewɔwɔ le adzɔge na mi, eye dzɔdzɔenyenye metsɔ ɖe mia gbɔ o. Miekpɔ mɔ na kekeli, ke viviti sɔŋ ƒo xlã mi. Míekpɔ mɔ na xexea me ƒe kɔkɔ, ke blukɔ me boŋ ko zɔm miele.
Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We hope for light, but there is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in gloom.
10 Miele asi tsam le gli ŋu abe ŋkugbagbãtɔwo ene, eye miele mɔ dim kple asi abe ame siwo mele nu kpɔm o la ene. Miele nu klim le ŋdɔkutsu dzatsi abe zã me ene, eye míele lãmesesẽtɔwo dome abe ame kukuwo ene.
Like the blind, we feel our way along the wall, groping like those without eyes. We stumble at midday as in the twilight; among the vigorous we are like the dead.
11 Mi katã miele gbe tem abe sisiblisiwo ene, eye miele xɔxlɔ̃m nublanuitɔe abe ahɔnɛwo ene. Miele mɔ kpɔm na ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ dzɔdzɔe, gake miekpɔ ɖeke o. Miele mɔ kpɔm na ɖeɖe, gake metsɔ ɖe mia gbɔ o,
We all growl like bears and moan like doves. We hope for justice, but find none, for salvation, but it is far from us.
12 elabena míaƒe dzidadawo sɔ gbɔ le ŋkuwò me eye míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo le mía nu tsom. Míenya míaƒe dzidadawo, eye míedze si miaƒe nu vɔ̃,
For our transgressions are multiplied before You, and our sins testify against us. Our transgressions are indeed with us, and we know our iniquities:
13 siwo nye aglãdzedze, nugbeɖoɖo ɖe Yehowa ŋu, megbetɔtrɔ̃ de míaƒe Mawu la, ameteteɖeto, tsitretsitsi ɖe ame ŋu kple alakpanya siwo míeɣla ɖe míaƒe dzi me la gbɔgblɔ.
rebelling and denying the LORD, turning away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering lies from the heart.
14 Ale wonya ʋɔnu dzɔdzɔe dɔdrɔ̃ do ɖe megbe, eye nu dzɔdzɔe wɔwɔ tsi tsitre ɖe adzɔge. Nyateƒe le nu klim le kpɔdomewo, eye nuteƒewɔwɔ mate ŋu age ɖe ame o.
So justice is turned away, and righteousness stands at a distance. For truth has stumbled in the public square, and honesty cannot enter.
15 Ale nyateƒe mele afi aɖeke woakpɔ o, eye ame si gbe nu le nu vɔ̃ɖi gbɔ la zu nuhaha. Yehowa ɖo ŋku anyi hekpɔ nu, ke mekpɔ nu dzɔdzɔe wɔwɔ le afi aɖeke o, eye medzɔ dzi nɛ o.
Truth is missing, and whoever turns from evil becomes prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice.
16 Yehowa kpɔ be ame aɖeke meli o. Ewɔ moya nɛ be ame aɖeke meli si alé avu o, ale wòtsɔ eya ŋutɔ ƒe alɔ xɔ na eɖokui, eye eya ŋutɔ ƒe dzɔdzɔenyenye lée ɖe te.
He saw that there was no man; He was amazed that there was no one to intercede. So His own arm brought salvation, and His own righteousness sustained Him.
17 Edo dzɔdzɔenyenye abe eƒe akɔtakpoxɔnu ene, eye xɔxɔ ƒe gakuku le ta nɛ. Etsɔ hlɔ̃biabia ƒe awuwo do, eye wòtsɔ ŋuʋaʋã xatsa ɖe eɖokui ŋu abe doɖedzi ene.
He put on righteousness like a breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on His head; He put on garments of vengeance and wrapped Himself in a cloak of zeal.
So He will repay according to their deeds: fury to His enemies, retribution to His foes, and recompense to the islands.
19 Ɣetoɖoƒetɔwo avɔ̃ Yehowa ƒe ŋkɔ, eye ɣedzeƒetɔwo ade bubu eƒe ŋutikɔkɔe ŋu, elabena ele vava ge abe tsiɖɔɖɔ si le sisim kple ŋusẽ, eye Yehowa ƒe gbɔgbɔ nyae ɖe du nu la ene.
So shall they fear the name of the LORD where the sun sets, and His glory where it rises. For He will come like a raging flood, driven by the breath of the LORD.
20 Yehowa be, “Ɖela ava Zion na Yakob ƒe ame siwo trɔ tso woƒe nu vɔ̃wo me.”
“The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,”
21 Yehowa be, “Nye la, esiae nye nye nubabla kpli wo. Nye Gbɔgbɔ si le dziwò, nye nya siwo metsɔ de nuwò la madzo le nuwò alo le viwòwo ƒe nu alo le wò dzidzimeviwo ƒe nu tso azɔ dzi yi ɖe mavɔ me o,” Yehowae gblɔe.
“As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit will not depart from you, and My words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth or from the mouths of your children and grandchildren, from now on and forevermore,” says the LORD.
