< Yesaya 58 >

1 “Gblɔe kple ɣli, mègadzudzɔ o. Kɔ wò gbe dzi abe kpẽ ene. Gblɔ nye dukɔ ƒe aglãdzedze nɛ kple Yakob ƒe aƒe la ƒe nu vɔ̃wo nɛ.
Cry out! Cease not! Exalt your voice like a trumpet, and announce to my people their wicked acts, and to the house of Jacob their sins.
2 Wole diyem gbe sia gbe. Edze abe ɖe wotsi dzi be woanya nye mɔwo abe ɖe wonye dukɔ si wɔa nu dzɔdzɔe, eye womeŋlɔ woƒe Mawu ƒe sewo be o la ene. Wole afiatsotso dzɔdzɔe dim tso gbɔnye, eye wòdze abe ɖe wotsi dzi be Mawu nate ɖe wo ŋu kpokploe ene.
For they also seek me, from day to day, and they are willing to know my ways, like a nation which has done justice and has not abandoned the judgment of their God. They petition me for judgments of justice. They are willing to draw near to God.
3 Wobiana be, ‘Nu ka ŋuti míetsi nu dɔ, gake mède nu eme na mí o, eye míebɔbɔ mia ɖokuiwo, gake mède dze sii o?’ “Evɔ gbe si gbe mietsi nu dɔ la, miewɔ nu si dze mia ŋu, eye mieba miaƒe dɔwɔlawo katã.
“Why have we fasted, and you have not taken notice? Why have we humbled our souls, and you have not acknowledged it?” Behold, in the day of your fasting, your own will is found, and you petition for payment from all your debtors.
Behold, you fast with strife and contention, and you strike with the fist impiously. Do not choose to fast as you have done even to this day. Then your outcry will be heard on high.
5 Ɖe esia nye nutsitsidɔ si tɔgbi melɔ̃na be ame nabɔbɔ eɖokui le ŋkeke ɖeka ko mea? Tadede agu abe keti ene, akpanyadzimɔmlɔ kple dzofimemɔmlɔ koe nye nutsitsidɔa? Eya yɔm nèle be nutsitsidɔ kple ŋkeke si dzea Yehowa ŋua?
Is this a fast such as I have chosen: for a man to afflict his soul for a day, to contort his head in a circle, and to spread sackcloth and ashes? Should you call this a fast and a day acceptable to the Lord?
6 “Ɖe menye esiae nye nutsitsidɔ si metia oa, be woaɖe nu madzɔmadzɔwo ƒe gakɔsɔkɔsɔwo ɖa, woatu kɔkuti ƒe kɔsasawo, ne woana ablɔɖe ame siwo wote ɖe to, eye woaŋe kɔkuti ɖe sia ɖe oa?
Is not this, instead, the kind of fast that I have chosen? Release the constraints of impiety; relieve the burdens that oppress; freely forgive those who are broken; and break apart every burden.
7 Ɖe menye eyae nye be nàna nuɖuɖu dɔwuitɔwo, ana nɔƒe ame dahe si le tsaglãla tsam, ne èkpɔ ame aɖe wòle amama la, nàta avɔ nɛ, eye màtrɔ megbe ade wò ŋutɔ wò ŋutilã kple ʋu oa?
Break your bread with the hungry, and lead the destitute and the homeless into your house. When you see someone naked, cover him, and do not despise your own flesh.
8 Ekema wò kekeli adze abe agudzedze ene, eye wò dɔyɔyɔ ado kaba. Ekema wò dzɔdzɔenyenye adze ŋgɔ na wò, eye Yehowa ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe axe megbe na wò.
Then your light will break forth like the morning, and your health will improve quickly, and your justice will go before your face, and the glory of the Lord will gather you up.
9 Ekema àyɔ Yehowa, eye wòatɔ na wò. Àdo ɣli be wòaxɔ na wò, eye wòagblɔ be, ‘Nyee nye esi.’ “Ne èɖe teteɖeanyi ƒe kɔkuti ɖa, asifiafia ame kple ameŋugblẽnyawo gbɔgblɔ,
Then you will call, and the Lord will heed; you will cry out, and he will say, “Here I am,” if you take away the chains from your midst, and cease to point your finger and to speak what is not beneficial.
10 ne ètsi nu dɔ hetsɔ wò nuɖuɖu na dɔwuitɔ, eye nèkpɔ ame siwo wote ɖe anyi la ƒe hiahiãwo gbɔ la, ekema wò kekeli adze le viviti me, eye wò zã anɔ abe ŋdɔkutsu ene.
When you pour out your life for the hungry, and you satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will rise up in darkness, and your darkness will be like the midday.
11 Yehowa akplɔ wò ɖaa. Akpɔ wò hiahiãwo gbɔ le kuɖiɖinyigba dzi, eye wòado ŋusẽ wò ameti blibo la. Ànɔ abe abɔ si wode tsii nyuie kple vudo si memiena o ene.
And the Lord will give you rest continually, and he will fill your soul with splendor, and he will free your bones, and you will be like a watered garden and like a fountain of water whose waters will not fail.
12 Wò amewo agbugbɔ blemaƒedowo atu, eye woaɖo gli ɖe gbe aɖe gbe tɔwo ƒe gɔmeɖokpe xoxowo dzi. Woayɔ wò be ‘Gli gbagbãwo ɖɔɖola kple mɔtata siwo to duwo me la dzraɖola.’
And places that have been desolate for ages will be built up by you. You will raise a foundation for generation after generation. And you will be called the repairer of hedges, who turns the roadways into quiet places.
13 “Ne èhe ɖe megbe tso Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke la gbegblẽ gbɔ, ne mèwɔ nu si dze ŋuwò le ŋkeke kɔkɔe la dzi o, ke boŋ nèkpɔ dzidzɔ le Dzudzɔgbe ŋkeke la ŋu, eye nède bubu Yehowa ƒe ŋkeke kɔkɔe la ŋu, ne ède bubu eŋu, mèlé wò mɔ tsɔ o, ne mèwɔ nu si dze ŋuwò, alo gblɔ nya dzodzrowo o la,
If you restrain your foot on the Sabbath, from doing your own will on my holy day, and if you call the Sabbath delightful, and the Holy of the Lord glorious, and if you glorify him, while you do not act according to your own ways, and your own will is not found, not even to speak a word,
14 ekema àkpɔ dzidzɔ le Yehowa me, eye mana be nàɖi tsa ade anyigba ƒe kɔkɔƒewo ahaɖu fofowò, Yakob ƒe domenyinu.” Yehowa ƒe nue gblɔe.
then you will find delight in the Lord, and I will take you up, above the heights of the earth, and I will nourish you with the inheritance of Jacob, your father. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
