< Yesaya 57 >
1 Ame dzɔdzɔe tsrɔ̃na, eye ame aɖeke mebua eŋu le eƒe dzi me o. Woɖea Mawumemewo ɖa, gake ame aɖeke mesea egɔme be ɖe woɖea ame dzɔdzɔewo ɖa be womagadze nu vɔ̃ɖi me o.
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and pious men are taken away, without one considering that before the evil the righteous is taken away.
2 Ame siwo zɔna le dzɔdzɔenyenye me la yina ɖe ŋutifafa me, le ku me ke hã, wodzudzɔna.
He shall come [to his fathers] in peace: they shall repose in their resting-place, every one that walketh in his uprightness.
3 “Ke mite va afii, mi nyɔnunukala ƒe viwo. Mi ahasitɔwo kple gbolowo ƒe dzidzimeviwo!
But ye draw near hither, sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the harlot.
4 Ame ka ŋue miele fewu ɖum le? Ame ka ŋu mieke nu bãa ɖo hedo aɖe ɖe gota biɖaa na? Ɖe menye aglãdzelawo kple alakpatɔwo ƒe dzidzimeviwoe mienye oa?
Over whom will you make yourselves merry? concerning whom will you open wide your mouth, stretch out your tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,
5 Fieŋufieŋu le lãme na mi ɖe legbawo ŋu, le logotiwo kple ati dama ɖe sia ɖe te. Mietsɔa mia viwo sãa vɔe le balimewo kple agakpetowo te.
That are inflamed after the idols under every green tree; that slaughter the children in the valleys under the clefts of the rocks?
6 Legba siwo le balime kple kpe zɔsrɔ̃ewo dome lae nye wò gomekpɔkpɔ. Woawoe nye tɔwò. Woawoe nèƒoa aha ɖi na, eye nètsɔa nuɖuvɔsa hã naa wo. Le nu siawo katã ta la, ɖe mazi kpia?
Of the smooth stones of the valley is thy portion; they, they are thy lot: even to them hast thou poured out a drink-offering, hast thou offered a meat-offering. Shall I for these things repent me [of the evil]?
7 Èɖo aba ɖe togbɛ si kɔ bobobo la dzi. Afi mae nèyi hewɔ vɔsawo le.
Upon a high and lofty mountain hast thou placed thy couch: even thither wentest thou up to offer sacrifice.
8 Ètsɔ wò trɔ̃subɔnuwo da ɖe wò ʋɔtruwo kple ʋɔtrutiwo megbe. Ègbe nu le gbɔnye. Èklo nu le wò aba dzi hede edzi, eye nèkekee ɖe edzi hebla enu kple ame siwo ƒe abawo nèlɔ̃, eye nèkpɔ woƒe amame.
And behind the doors and the door-posts hast thou placed thy [mark of] remembrance; for [departing] from me, thou hast laid open, and art gone up, —hast enlarged thy couch, and made thee a covenant with some of them; thou hast loved their lying with thee, hast selected a fitting place.
9 Èyi ɖe Molek gbɔ kple ami, eye nètsɔ ami ʋeʋĩwo kpe ɖe eŋu fũu. Èɖo wò ame dɔdɔwo ɖe didiƒe ke, eye wò ŋutɔ nèyi tsiẽƒe! (Sheol )
And thou didst show thyself unto the king without ointment, and thou didst multiply thy perfumes, and thou didst send out thy messengers even into the far-off distance, and didst debase thyself even down to the nether world. (Sheol )
10 Wò mɔwo na ɖeɖi te ŋuwò, gake mèdi be yeagblɔ be, ‘Wo katã nye tofloko’ o. Èkpɔ be wò ŋusẽ gaɖo yeye me, eya tae nu mete ŋuwò o.
Though thou art wearied by the length of thy way, yet saidst thou not, It is useless: thou hadst found enough for thy hand; therefore didst thou feel no care.
11 “Ame kae dzi ŋɔ na mi nenema, eye ame kae mievɔ̃ na nenema gbegbe be mieto nyateƒe nam o, eye mieɖo ŋku dzinye alo bu nu sia ŋuti le miaƒe dzi me o? Ɖe menye esi mezi kpi eteƒe didi tae mievɔ̃na nam oa?
And of whom hadst thou dread or fear, that thou becamest false, and didst not remember me, nor lay it to thy heart? is it not so? I kept silence, and this from earliest times, and therefore thou fearest me not!
12 Maɖe miaƒe dzɔdzɔenyenye kple miaƒe dɔwɔwɔwo ɖe go afia, ke womaɖe vi aɖeke na mi o.
I, I ever tell thee [what deeds would be] thy righteousness; but thy works—these indeed will not profit thee.
13 Ne miedo ɣli be woakpe ɖe mia ŋu la, ekema mina miaƒe legba gbogboawo naxɔ na mi! Ya akplɔ wo katã adzoe, ne woɖo ƒuƒu teti ɖe wo la, wo katã woaƒo ya adzo; ke ame si tsɔm wɔ eƒe sitsoƒee la, anyi anyigba la ƒe dome, eye wòaxɔ nye to kɔkɔe la wòanye etɔ.”
When thou criest, let thy masses of idols deliver thee; but all of them will the wind carry away, a breath will take them off; but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain.
14 Woagblɔ be, “Mido mɔ, mido mɔ. Midzra mɔtata la dzi ɖo! Miɖe mɔxenuwo ɖa le mɔ me na nye dukɔ”,
And he will say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, clear out the way, lift up every stumbling block out of the way of my people.
15 elabena ale ame si nye gã, eye wòkɔ wu nuwo katã, ame si li tegbee, eye eƒe ŋkɔe nye Kɔkɔe la gblɔe nye esi, “Mele teƒe kɔkɔ si le kɔkɔe, gake meli kple ame si ƒe nu vɔ̃wo vee, eye wòbɔbɔ eɖokui ɖe anyi le gbɔgbɔ me be magbɔ agbe ame si bɔbɔ eɖokui ɖe anyi la ƒe gbɔgbɔ, eye magbɔ agbe ame si ƒe nu vɔ̃wo vee la ƒe dzi.
For thus hath said the high and lofty One, who inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy, In the high and holy place do I dwell, yet also with the contrite and humble of spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
16 Nyemanɔ fɔ bum ɖaa alo ado dɔmedzoe ɣe sia ɣi o, ne menye nenema o la, nu ati kɔ na ame ƒe gbɔgbɔ le ŋkunye me, eye nu ate luʋɔ siwo mewɔ la ŋu.
For not to eternity will I contend, neither will I be for ever wroth: when the spirit from before me is overwhelmed, and the souls which I have made.

Because of the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and I smote him, hiding my face, and was wroth: while he went on frowardly in the way of his own heart.
18 Mekpɔ eƒe mɔwo, gake mada gbe le eŋu. Mafia mɔe, eye magbugbɔ afa akɔ nɛ.
I [now] see his ways, and I will heal him; and I will guide him, and bestow full comforts on him and on his mourners;
19 Matsɔ kafukafuha ade nu na Israel ƒe konyifalawo, eye ŋutifafa, ŋutifafa na ame siwo le kpuiƒe kple didiƒe siaa. Nye la, mayɔ dɔ wo katã.” Yehowae gblɔe.
Creating the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him that is afar off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him.
20 “Ke ame vɔ̃ɖiwo le abe atsiaƒu dzeagbo si mate ŋu anɔ anyi kpoo o la ene; esi ƒe ƒutsotsoewo le gbeɖuɖɔ kple ba ɖem ɖe go.”
But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it can never be at rest, but its waters cast up mire and dirt.
21 Nye Mawu be, “Ŋutifafa meli na ame vɔ̃ɖi la o.”
There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
