< Yesaya 23 >
1 Esiae nye nyagblɔɖi ɖe Tiro ŋu. Mifa konyi, o meli siwo tsa asi le Tarsis, elabena wogbã Tiro, eye aƒe alo melidzeƒe megali na mi o. Wose nya sia esi wole Kipro ke.
The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Kittim it is revealed to them.
Mi ame siwo ƒudzidɔwɔlawo wɔ kesinɔtɔwoe,
Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.
3 Wotsɔ bli tso Sidon, nuŋeŋe si tso Nil Nutowo me to tɔ gãwo dzi va Tiro abe adzɔnuwo ene, ale Tiro zu asiɖiƒe na dukɔwo.
And on great waters the seed of Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue; and she was the mart of nations.
4 Ŋu nekpe wò, O! Sidon, wò mɔ sesẽ si le ƒuta, elabena atsiaƒu gblɔ na wò be, “Nyemelé ku kpɔ alo dzi vi kpɔ o. Nyemenyi ŋutsuviwo alo nyɔnuviwo kpɔ o.”
Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, the strong hold of the sea; saying, I have not travailed, nor brought forth, neither have I nourished young men, nor brought up virgins.
When the report cometh to Egypt, they shall be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.
Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle.
7 Alea wò blemadu si yɔ fũu kple dzidzɔkpɔkpɔ, wo ame si zɔ mɔ yi didiƒenyigbawo dzi la va zue nye esia?
Is this your joyous [city], whose antiquity is of ancient days, whose feet carried her afar off to sojourn?
Who hath purposed this against Tyre, the crowning [city], whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honourable of the earth?
9 Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ lae ɖo esia be yeaɖi gbɔ̃ atsyɔ̃ɖoɖowo katã ƒe dada, eye yeabɔbɔ ame xɔŋkɔwo katã ɖe anyi le anyigba dzi.
The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.
Pass through thy land as the Nile, O daughter of Tarshish; there is no girdle [about thee] any more.
11 Yehowa kɔ eƒe asi dzi ɖe atsiaƒu la dzi, eye wòna eƒe fiaɖuƒewo dzo nyanyanya. Eɖe gbe be woagbã Foenisia ƒe mɔ sesẽwo.
He hath stretched out his hand over the sea, he hath shaken the kingdoms: the LORD hath given commandment concerning Canaan, to destroy the strong holds thereof.
12 Yehowa gblɔ be, “O! Sidon ƒe vinyɔnu si menya ŋutsu o, wò dzidzɔkpɔkpɔ nu tso! “Tsi tsitre, tso ƒu la, eye nàyi Kipro, afi ma gɔ̃ hã la, màkpɔ dzudzɔƒe o.”
And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Kittim; even there shalt thou have no rest.
13 Kpɔ Babiloniatɔwo ƒe anyigba la ɖa; tsã la, bubu menɔ wo ŋu o va se ɖe esime Asiriatɔwo fɔe hetsɔe wɔ nɔƒee na ame siwo nɔ gbegbe. Wotu dziƒoxɔ kɔkɔwo kple fiasãwo ɖe afi ma; ke ena wòzu aƒedo.
Behold, the land of the Chaldeans; this people is no more; the Assyrian hath appointed it for the beasts of the wilderness: they set up their towers, they overthrew the palaces thereof; he made it a ruin.
14 Mi Tarsis melikulawo mifa avi, elabena wogbã miaƒe mɔ sesẽ la!
Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strong hold is laid waste.
15 Le ɣe ma ɣi me la, woaŋlɔ Tiro be ƒe blaadre sɔŋ; siwo nye fia ƒe agbenɔƒe. Le ƒe blaadre siawo ƒe nuwuwu la, ava eme na Tiro abe ale si woŋlɔe ɖe gboloha ƒe hagbewo me nɛ ene be,
And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years it shall be unto Tyre as in the song of the harlot.
16 “Tsɔ kasaŋku. Ɖi tsa le dua me. O! Gbolo si wogbe, ƒo kasaŋku la nyuie, eye nàdzi ha geɖewo, ale be woaɖo ŋku dziwò.”
Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
17 Le ƒe blaadre ƒe nuwuwu la, Yehowa ahe to na Tiro. Agatrɔ ayi ɖe eƒe gbolowɔwɔ dzi, eye wòatsa asi sia kple fiaɖuƒe siwo katã le anyigba dzi;
And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall return to her hire, and shall play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.
18 Ke hã la, woatsɔ viɖe siwo wòkpɔ la na Yehowa. Womadzrae ɖo ɖe nudzraɖoƒe alo aɣlae o.
And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
