< Yesaya 21 >

1 Esiae nye nyagblɔɖi ɖe gbegbe si le ƒuta la ŋu. Amedzidzela aɖe ava dze mia dzi tso gbegbe, anyigba dziŋɔ aɖe dzi abe ale si ahom tuna toa anyigbemenyigba dzi ene.
THE VISION OF THE DESERT. As though a whirlwind should pass through the desert, coming from a desert, [even] from such a land,
2 Woɖe ŋutega dziŋɔ aɖe fiam; ametatrɔla trɔ ame ta, nuhala kpɔ nuhaha. Elam dze edzi! Media ƒu kpo ɖe eŋu! Mana hũɖeɖe siwo katã wòhe vɛ la nawu nu.
[so] a fearful and a grievous vision was declared to me: he that is treacherous deals treacherously, the transgressor transgresses. The Elamites are upon me, and the ambassadors of the Persians come against me: now will I groan and comfort myself.
3 Eya ta vevesese na nye ameti blibo la meʋuʋu. Vevesese ƒo ɖem abe nyɔnu si le ku lém la tɔ ene. Nu siwo mese la na memu sɔgɔsɔgɔ, eye dzidzi ƒom le nu siwo mekpɔ la ta.
Therefore are my loins filled with feebleness, and pangs have seized me as a travailing woman: I dealt wrongfully that I might not hear; I hasted that I might not see.
4 Nye dzi tso, vɔvɔ̃ na medzo nyanyanya. Ale fiẽ fafɛ si mele mɔ kpɔm na la zu ŋɔdzi gã aɖe nam.
My heart wanders, and transgression overwhelms me; my soul is occupied with fear.
5 Woɖo kplɔ̃wo. Nuwo katã sɔgbe, woɖu nu, wono nu! Kasia ɣli ɖi be, mitso, mi amegãwo ne miasi ami na miaƒe akpoxɔnuwo.
Prepare the table, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and prepare [your] shields.
6 Ale Yehowa gblɔ nam nye esi, “Yi nàɖo gbetakpɔla, eye na wòaɖe gbeƒã nu siwo katã wòkpɔ.
For thus said the Lord to me, Go and station a watchman for thyself, and declare whatever thou shalt see.
7 Ne ekpɔ tasiaɖamwo kple sɔdolawo ƒe hã, tedzidolawo kple kposɔdolawo la, ekema neɖo to, wòagaɖo to nyuie.”
And I saw two mounted horsemen, and a rider on an ass, and a rider on a camel.
8 Gbetakpɔla ɖe gbe abe dzata ene be, “Nye Aƒetɔ, metsi tsitre ɖe nye dzɔƒe la gbe sia gbe kple zãwo katã me.
Hearken with great attention, and call thou Urias to the watch-tower: the Lord has spoken. I stood continually during the day, and I stood in the camp all night:
9 Kpɔ ɖa, ŋutsu aɖe le tasiaɖam me kple sɔdolawo ƒe ha gbɔna, eye wòna ŋuɖoɖo siam be, ‘Babilonia mu, gamu. Wogbã eƒe legbawo katã ƒu anyi.’”
and, behold, he comes riding in a chariot and pair: and he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all her images and her idols have been crushed to the ground.
10 O! Nye dukɔ si wogbã gudugudu le lugbɔƒe abe lu ene, megblɔ nu siwo katã Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ, Israel ƒe Mawu la de asi nam be magblɔ la na mi.
Hear, ye that are left, and ye that are in pain, hear what things I have heard of the Lord of hosts [which] the God of Israel has declared to us. THE VISION OF IDUMEA.
11 Esiae nye Mawu ƒe nyagblɔɖi ɖe Duma ŋu. Ame aɖe yɔm tso Seir be, “Gbetakplɔla, zã gbɔ tsɔa? Gbetakpɔla zã gbɔ tsɔa?”
Call to me out of Seir; guard ye the bulwarks.
12 Gbetakpɔla ɖo eŋu be, “Esusɔ vie ŋu nake, gake zã agado ake. Nya si nèdi be yeabia la, biae, gake gatrɔ gbɔ.”
I watch in the morning and the night: if thou wouldest enquire, enquire, and dwell by me.
13 Esiae nye nyagblɔɖi ɖe Arabia ŋu. Mi asiha siwo tso Dedam, ame siwo ƒu asaɖa anyi ɖe Arabia ƒe avekɔewo me,
Thou mayest lodge in the forest in the evening, or in the way of Daedan.
14 mi ame siwo le Tema, miku tsi vɛ na ame siwo tsikɔ le wuwum. Mitsɔ nuɖuɖu vɛ na aʋasilawo,
Ye that dwell in the country of Thaeman, bring water to meet him that is thirsty;
15 elabena wosi le yi si woɖe le aku me la kple da si me wovu kpakple aʋa si dzi ŋɔ la nu.
meet the fugitives with bread, because of the multitude of the slain, and because of the multitude of them that lose their way, and because of the multitude of swords, and because of the multitude of bent bows, and because of the multitude of them that have fallen in war.
16 Ale Aƒetɔ la gblɔ nam nye esi, “Le ƒe ɖeka me tututu abe ale si awɔbamenɔla xlẽa eƒe ƒee ene la, Kedar ƒe atsyɔ̃ katã nu ayi.
For thus said the Lord to me, Yet a year, as the year of an hireling, [and] the glory of the sons of Kedar shall fail:
17 Aŋutrɔdala mamlɛawo kple aʋawɔla siwo susɔ le Kedar la anye ame ʋɛ aɖewo ko.” Yehowa Israel ƒe Mawu lae gblɔe.
and the remnant of the strong bows of the sons of Kedar shall be small: for the Lord God of Israel has spoken [it].
