< Yesaya 20 >

1 Le ƒe si me Asiria fia Sargon dɔ eƒe aʋafiagã ɖe Filistitɔwo ƒe du, Asdod me, eye wòwɔ aʋa kplii hexɔe la,
In the year that Tharthan came unto Ashdod, when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him, and fought against Ashdod, and captured it;
2 ɣe ma ɣi Yehowa gblɔ na Amoz ƒe vi, Yesaya, be, “Ɖe wò akpanya si nèta la da ɖi, eye nàɖe afɔkpawo le wò afɔ.” Ale Yesaya wɔ nenema; eɖe amama, eye wònɔ afɔ ƒuƒlu zɔm nɔ yiyim.
At the same time spoke the Lord by means of Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loosen the sackcloth from off thy loins, and thy shoe shalt thou pull off from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
3 Yehowa gblɔ be, “Abe ale si nye dɔla Yesaya si le afɔ ƒuƒlu zɔm ƒe etɔ̃ sɔŋ ene, nu si nye dzesi kple kpɔɖeŋu na Egipte kple Kus la,
And the Lord said, Just as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years as a sign and token for Egypt and for Cush:
4 nenema ke Asiria fia aɖe aboyo Egipte kple Kus, aɖe amewo, ɖeviwo kple tsitsiawo siaa be woatsɔ ado ŋukpe Egipte,
So shall the king of Assyria lead away the prisoners of Egypt, and the exiles of Cush, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with uncovered buttocks, to the disgrace of Egypt.
5 Ame siwo ɖo ŋu ɖe Kus ŋu, eye wotsɔa Egipte ƒoa adegbee la, woavɔ, eye ŋu akpe wo.
And they shall be terrified, and ashamed of Cush their trust, and of Egypt their vaunt.
6 Le ɣe ma ɣi la, ame siwo le ƒuta afi sia la agblɔ be, mikpɔ nu si va dzɔ ɖe ame siwo miesina tsona be woaxɔ na mi le Asiria ƒe asi me la dzi ɖa. Ke azɔ la, aleke miawɔ asi?”
And the inhabitant of this isle shall say on that day, Behold, such is our trust, whither we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we then escape?
