< Yesaya 2 >
1 Esiae nye gbedeasi bubu si Yesaya, Amoz ƒe vi la, xɔ tso Yehowa gbɔ, tso Yuda kple Yerusalem ŋuti.
The things that Isaiah son of Amoz perceived in a vision, concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 Le ŋkeke mamlɛawo me la, woaɖo Yehowa ƒe gbedoxɔ la gɔme anyi ɖe eƒe to la dzi, be wòanye to si aƒo towo katã ta, woakɔe ɖe dzi wòagbɔ togbɛwo katã ta, eye xexemedukɔwo katã aƒo zi ɖe eŋu.
It will be in the last days that the mountain of Yahweh's house will be established as the highest of the mountains, and it will be raised up above the hills, and all the nations will flow to it.
3 Ame geɖewo ava agblɔ be, “Miva míayi Yehowa ƒe to la dzi, míage ɖe Yakob ƒe Mawu la ƒe gbedoxɔ la me; afia eƒe mɔwo mí be míazɔ le eƒe mɔwo dzi.” Nufiame atso Zion ava, eye Yehowa ƒe nya atso Yerusalem ava.
Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob, so he may teach us some of his ways, and we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion will go the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.
4 Adrɔ̃ ʋɔnu le dukɔwo dome, eye wòadzra ame geɖewo dome ɖo. Woatsɔ woƒe aʋawɔyiwo atu kodzoewoe, eye woatsɔ woƒe akplɔwo atu hɛ̃ gobɛwoe. Dukɔ magatsɔ yi ɖe dukɔ ŋu alo axɔ hehe na aʋawɔwɔ o.
He will judge between the nations and will render decisions for many peoples; they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they train for war any longer.
5 O! Yakob ƒe aƒe, na miazɔ le Yehowa ƒe kekeli me.
House of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of Yahweh.
6 Ègbe nu le wò amewo, Yakob ƒe aƒe gbɔ, elabena woyɔ fũu kple ɣedzeƒetɔwo ƒe subɔsubɔwo. Wokaa afã abe Filistitɔwo ene, eye wokpea asi ɖe trɔ̃subɔlawo ŋu le woƒe subɔsubɔwo me.
For you have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with customs from the east and they practice divination like the Philistines, and they shake hands with sons of foreigners.
Their land is full of silver and gold, and is there no limit to their wealth; their land also is full of horses, nor is there limit to their chariots.
8 Woƒe anyigba dzi yɔ fũu kple legbawo, wodea ta agu na woawo ŋutɔ ƒe asinudɔwɔwɔwo, eye wodzea klo na nu siwo woƒe asibidɛwo wɔ,
Their land also is full of idols; they worship the craftsmanship of their own hands, things that their own fingers have made.
9 eya ta woaɖiɖi ame ɖe anyi eye woabɔbɔ amegbetɔƒomea ɖe anyi, mègatsɔe ke wo o.
The people will be bowed down, and individuals will fall down; therefore do not raise them up.
10 Miyi ɖe ŋɔdzigadowo me, mibe ɖe anyigba ƒe tume tso Yehowa ƒe ŋɔdzi kple eƒe gãnyenye ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe gbɔ!
Go into the rocky places and hide in the ground from the terror of Yahweh and from the glory of his majesty.
11 Woaɖiɖi ŋkugãtolawo katã ɖe anyi, eye woabɔbɔ dadalawo katã ɖe anyi. Gbe ma gbe la, Yehowa ɖeka ko woado ɖe dzi.
The lofty gaze of man will be brought low, and the pride of men will be brought down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted on that day.
12 Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la, ɖo ŋkeke ɖi na dadalawo kple ɖokuiŋudzelawo kple nu siwo katã wodo ɖe dzi la (elabena woabɔbɔ wo ɖe anyi).
For there will be a day of Yahweh of hosts against everyone who is proud and raised up, and against everyone who is arrogant—and he will be brought down—
13 Woabɔbɔ Lebanon ƒe sedati kɔkɔ tsralawo kple Basan ƒe logotiwo ɖe anyi.
and against all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and against all the oaks of Bashan.
14 Woabɔbɔ to kɔkɔwo kple tɔgbɛ kɔkɔwo katã ɖe anyi;
That day of Yahweh of hosts will be against all the high mountains, and against all the hills that are lifted up,
15 woabɔbɔ gbetakpɔxɔ kɔkɔwo kple gli sesẽwo ɖe anyi,
and against every high tower, and against every impregnable wall,
16 eye woabɔbɔ Tarsis ƒe asitsameliwo kple tɔdziʋu gãwo katã ɖe anyi.
and against all the ships of Tarshish, and against all beautiful sailing vessels.
17 Woabɔbɔ amewo ƒe ɖokuidodoɖedzi kple dada ɖe anyi. Yehowa ɖeka ko woado ɖe dzi gbe ma gbe,
The pride of man will be brought low, and the haughtiness of men will fall; Yahweh alone will be exalted on that day.
18 eye woaɖe legbawo katã ɖa keŋkeŋ.
The idols will completely pass away.
19 Ne Yehowa tso be yeaʋuʋu anyigba la, amewo asi age ɖe agadowo me le kpewo tome kple dowo me le anyigba ƒe tume, le eƒe ŋɔdzi kple eƒe gãnyenye ƒe atsyɔ̃ ta.
Men will go into the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground, from the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.
20 Le ŋkeke ma dzi la, amewo atsɔ woƒe klosalolegba kple sikalegba siwo wosubɔna la aƒu gbe na alegeliwo kple agutɔwo.
On that day people will throw away their idols of silver and of gold that they have made for themselves to worship—they will throw them away to the moles and bats.
21 Woasi ayi ɖe agadowo kple kpewo tome kpakple agakpe kɔkɔwo tame be woasi le Yehowa ƒe ŋɔdzi kple eƒe ŋutikɔkɔe ƒe atsyɔ̃nu, ne etso be yeaʋuʋu anyigba.
The people will go into the crevices in the rocks and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from the terror of Yahweh and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.
22 Amegbetɔ nye nu gblɔe: ele gblɔe abe eƒe gbɔgbɔ si le ŋɔtime nɛ ene! Nu ka ta nàtsɔ wò mɔkpɔkpɔ ada ɖe edzi?
Stop trusting in man, whose life-breath is in his nostrils, for what does he amount to?
