< Hosea 13 >
1 Tsã la, ne Efraim ɖe gbe la, dukɔwo ʋuʋuna nyanyanya, elabena wodoe ɖe dzi le Israel, gake edze Baal subɔsubɔ ƒe nu vɔ̃ me eye wòku.
When spoke Ephraim trembling he lifted up he in Israel and he became guilty by Baal and he died.
2 “Ke azɔ la, woƒe aglãdzedze la va de ŋgɔ. Wotsɔ woƒe klosalo na aɖaŋuwɔlawo, ame siwo lolõ wo tsɔ wɔ legbawo le woawo ŋutɔ ƒe nunya nu. Wogblɔ tso dukɔ sia ŋu be wotsɔa amegbetɔ saa vɔe, eye wogbugbɔa nu na nyivilegbawo.
And now - they increase to sin and they have made for themselves a molten image from silver their according to skill their idols [is the] work of craftsmen all of it of them they [are] saying [those who] offer sacrifice of humankind calves they will kiss!
3 Wo katã woabu vĩi abe afu ene, eye woaƒu enumake abe ahũ ene; woakaka abe ale si ya kakana atsakiti ene, eye woabu abe dzudzɔ ene.
Therefore they will become like a cloud of [the] morning and like dew rising early going like chaff [which] it is storm-driven from a threshing floor and like smoke from a window.
4 “Nye ɖeka koe nye Yehowa, miaƒe Mawu, eye alea ko mele tso esime ke mekplɔ mi do goe tso Egipte. Mawu bubu aɖeke mele mia si o, negbe nye ko, elabena ɖela aɖeke meli kpe ɖe ŋutinye o.
And I [am] Yahweh God your from [the] land of Egypt and gods besides me not you must know and [is] a deliverer there not except me.
5 Mekpɔ mia ta le gbedzi, le kuɖiɖinyigba ma dzi.
I I knew you in the wilderness in a land of drought.
6 Ke esi mieɖu nu ɖi ƒo vɔ la, dada yɔ mia me, mieŋlɔm be,
According to pasture their and they were satisfied they were satisfied and it was exalted heart their there-fore they forgot me.
7 eya ta mava dze mia dzi abe dzata ene, made xa ɖe mɔ to na mi abe lãklẽ ene.
And I became to them like a lion like a leopard on a road I will watch.
8 Madze wo dzi abe sisiblisinɔ si ƒe viwo wofi dzoe ene, mavuvu wo akɔ ɖi abe dzatanɔ ene. Lã wɔadã aɖe avuvu wo viwo akɔ ɖi.
I will meet them like a bear robbed of cubs so I may tear [the] cavity of heart their and I will devour them there like a lion animal of the field it will tear to pieces them.
9 “O Israel, ètsrɔ̃ ɖokuiwò, elabena ètso ɖe nye, wò xɔnametɔ ŋu.
It will destroy you O Israel for in me in helper your.
10 Afi ka miaƒe fia la le? Nu ka wɔ miayɔe ne wòaxɔ na mi o? Afi ka miaƒe dumegãwo katã le? Ame siwo ŋuti miegblɔ le be, ‘Na fia kple dumegãwo mí’ la le? Eya ta miyɔ wo woava xɔ na mi!
Where? [is] king your then so he may save you in all cities your and rulers your whom you said give! to me a king and leaders.
11 Le nye dziku me, meɖo fia na mi, eye megaxɔe le mia si le nye dɔmedzoe me.
I gave to you a king in anger my so I may take [him] away in wrath my.
12 Woƒo Efraim ƒe vodadawo nu ƒu, eye wodzra eƒe nu vɔ̃wo ɖo ɖe agbalẽ me.
[is] bound up [the] iniquity of Ephraim [is] stored up sin his.
13 Efraim se veve abe nyɔnu si le ku lém la ene, gake ele abe vi manyanu ene, elabena ne eƒe ɣeyiɣi de la, medoa ta ɖe vidzidɔ nu o.
[the] pains of [one who] gives birth They will come to him he [is] a son not wise if a time not he will present himself at birth of children.
14 “Maɖe wo tso tsiẽƒe ƒe ŋusẽ me, eye maxɔ wo le ku ƒe asi me. O ku, afi ka wò ŋɔdzi la le? O tsiẽƒe, afi ka wò gbegblẽ la le? Elabena nyemakpɔ nublanui o. (Sheol )
From [the] hand of Sheol will I ransom? them from death will I redeem? them where? [are] thorns your O death where? [is] destruction your O Sheol compassion it will be hidden from eyes my. (Sheol )
15 “Togbɔ be eyae de ŋgɔ wu le nɔviawo dome hã la, ɣedzeƒeya tso Yehowa gbɔ aƒo tso gbegbe ava. Eƒe tsiwo amie, eye vudowo me aƒu kplakplakpla. Woaha eƒe nudzraɖoƒewo, eye woalɔ eƒe kesinɔnuwo adzoe.
For he a son brothers he flourishes it will come an east wind [the] wind of Yahweh from [the] wilderness [is] about to come up and it may be withered spring his so it may be dried up spring his it it will plunder [the] treasury of every article of preciousness.
16 Samaria azu aƒedo, elabena edze aglã ɖe Mawu ŋu. Woatsi yi nu, woalé vidzĩwo axlã ɖe anyi woaku, eye woako woƒe funɔwo kple yi agbagbee.”
It will be held guilty Samaria for it has rebelled against God its by the sword they will fall children their they will be dashed in pieces and pregnant [women] its they will be ripped open.
