< Hebritɔwo 5 >
1 Wotiaa nunɔlagã ɖe sia ɖe tso amegbetɔwo dome, eye wodea dɔ asi nɛ be wòanɔ ŋgɔ na yewo le mawusubɔsubɔ ƒe nyawo me, eye wòatsɔ nunanawo kple nu vɔ̃ ŋuti vɔsawo aɖo Mawu ŋkume.
For every high-priest taken from among men, is appointed for the sake of men in things relating to God, that he may offer gifts and sacrifices for sins:
2 Nunɔlagã sia tea ŋu gbɔa dzi ɖi na numanyala siwo le mɔ tram la esi eya ŋutɔ hã nye gbɔdzɔgbɔdzɔtɔ le mɔ geɖewo nu.
who can have due compassion on the ignorant and those that are going astray; seeing he himself also is surrounded with infirmity:
3 Esia tae wòle be wòasa vɔ ɖe eya ŋutɔ ƒe nu vɔ̃ kple ame bubuwo ƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta.
and for this reason he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer sacrifice for sins.
4 Ame aɖeke metsɔa bubu sia dea eɖokui ŋuti o; ele be Mawu nayɔe abe ale si wòyɔ Aron ene.
And no one taketh this honor to himself, but he that is called by God, as Aaron was.
5 Eya ta Kristo hã metsɔ nunɔlagã ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe da ɖe eɖokui dzi o ke boŋ Mawu gblɔ nɛ be, “Wòe nye vinye ŋutsu, egbe mezu fofowò.”
So also Christ did not glorify himself to be made an high-priest; but He that said unto Him, "Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee."
6 Egagblɔ le teƒe bubu be, “Enye nunɔla tegbetegbe, eye wò ɖoƒe sɔ kple Melkizedek tɔ.” (aiōn )
As He saith also in another place, "Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec." (aiōn )
7 Esi Yesu nɔ agbe le anyigba dzi la, ewɔ gbedodoɖawo kple kukuɖeɖewo kple ɣli kple aɖatsi na eya ame si si ŋusẽ le be wòaɖee tso ku me, eye wòɖo toe le eƒe bubu kple ɖokuibɔbɔ ta.
Who in the days of his flesh, offered prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears, to Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in what He feared;
8 Togbɔ be eyae nye Mawu vi hã la, esrɔ̃ ɖokuibɔbɔ le fukpekpe siwo me wòto,
but though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered: and being thus perfected,
9 eye esi wowɔe blibo la, eva zu ɖeɖe mavɔ kpɔtsoƒe na ame siwo katã ɖoa toe. (aiōnios )
He became the author of eternal salvation to all that obey Him: (aiōnios )
10 Eye Mawu ɖoe be wòanye nunɔlagã abe Melkizedek ene.
having been declared by God an high-priest after the order of Melchisedec.
11 Nya geɖewo li si wòle be míagblɔ le nu sia ŋu, gake esi mietea ŋu sea nu gɔme kabakaba o ta la, esesẽna be míaɖe nya siawo me na mi.
Concerning whom we have much to say and difficult to be explained, since ye are become dull of hearing.
12 Le nyateƒe me la, togbɔ be fifia ele be mianye nufialawo hã la, miegahiã ame aɖe kokoko be wòagagbugbɔ afia gɔmedzenuwo mi tso Mawu ƒe nya ƒe nyateƒewo ŋu. Miehiã notsi, ke menye nuɖuɖu sesẽ o!
For whereas ye ought for the time to be teachers of others, ye have need again of some one to teach you the first rudiments of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk and not of solid food.
13 Ame sia ame si ganoa notsi esi wònye ɖevi ko ta la, mate ŋu ase nufiafia tso dzɔdzɔenyenye ŋuti gɔme o.
For every one that wanteth milk, is unacquainted with the doctrine of justification; for he is an infant:
14 Ke nuɖuɖu sesẽ nye ame tsitsiwo tɔ, ame siwo to eŋudɔwɔwɔ atraɖii me he wo ɖokuiwo be woate ŋu ade vovototo nyui kple vɔ̃ dome.
but firm food is for persons come to age, who by habit have their senses exercised to a discernment both of good and evil.
