< Hebritɔwo 3 >
1 Eya ta nɔvinye kɔkɔewo, ame siwo kpɔ gome le dziƒo ƒe yɔyɔ la me, mida miaƒe susuwo ɖe Yesu, apostolo kple nunɔlagã, ame si me mieʋu la dzi.
Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heauenly vocation, consider the Apostle and high Priest of our profession Christ Iesus:
2 Ewɔ nuteƒe na Mawu, ame si tiae abe ale si Mose hã wɔ nuteƒe le nuwo katã me le Mawu ƒe aƒe me la ene.
Who was faithfull to him that hath appointed him, euen as Moses was in al his house.
3 Abe ale si ame si tso aƒe nyui aɖe xɔa kafukafu wu aƒe si wòtso ene la, nenema kee Yesu hã dze na bubu wu Mose.
For this man is counted worthy of more glory then Moses, inasmuch as he which hath builded the house, hath more honour then the house.
4 Elabena aƒe ɖe sia ɖe la, ame aɖee tsoe, gake Mawue nye nu sia nu wɔla.
For euery house is builded of some man, and he that hath built all things, is God.
5 Mose nye dɔla nuteƒewɔla le nuwo katã me le Mawu ƒe aƒe me, nu sia ɖi ɖase le nu si Mawu ava gblɔ emegbe la ŋuti.
Now Moses verely was faithfull in all his house, as a seruant, for a witnesse of the thinges which should be spoken after.
6 Ke Kristo nye viŋutsu nuteƒewɔla ɖe Mawu ƒe aƒe dzi, eye miawoe nye Mawu ƒe aƒe la, ne mielé dzideƒo kple mɔkpɔkpɔ si me míeƒoa adegbe le la me ɖe asi.
But Christ is as the Sonne, ouer his owne house, whose house we are, if we holde fast that confidence and that reioycing of that hope vnto the ende.
7 Eya ta abe ale si Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la gblɔe ene be, “Egbe ne miese eƒe gbe la,
Wherefore, as the holy Ghost sayth, To day if ye shall heare his voyce,
8 migasẽ miaƒe dziwo me abe ale si miewɔ le miaƒe aglãdzedze me, le ɣeyiɣi si me mieto dodokpɔ me le gbedadaƒo la ene o.
Harden not your hearts, as in the prouocation, according to the day of the tentation in the wildernes,
9 Afi ma mia fofowo dom kpɔ, eye wotem kpɔ le, eye wokpɔ nu si mewɔ ƒe blaene.
Where your fathers tempted me, prooued me, and sawe my workes fourtie yeeres long.
10 Eya ta medo dziku ɖe dzidzime ma ŋu, eye megblɔ be, ‘Woƒe dziwo tra mɔ ɣe sia ɣi, eye womenya nye mɔwo o!’
Wherefore I was grieued with that generation, and sayde, They erre euer in their heart, neither haue they knowen my wayes.
11 Eya ta le nye dziku me la, meka atam gblɔ be, ‘Womage ɖe nye dzudzɔƒe la me gbeɖe o.’”
Therefore I sware in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest.
12 Nɔvinyewo, mikpɔ egbɔ be dzi si me nu vɔ̃ le kple dzi maxɔse si trɔna le Mawu gbagbe la yome la naganɔ mia dometɔ aɖeke si o.
Take heede, brethren, least at any time there be in any of you an euill heart, and vnfaithfull, to depart away from the liuing God.
13 Ke mide dzi ƒo na mia nɔewo gbe sia gbe, zi ale si ɣeyiɣi li, ale be mia dometɔ aɖeke ƒe dzi maku atri to nu vɔ̃ ƒe beble me o.
But exhort one another dayly, while it is called to day, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulnes of sinne.
14 Ɖe míeva be míakpɔ gome le Kristo me, nenye be míelé dzideƒo si le mía si le gɔmedzedzea me la me ɖe asi sesĩe ko.
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we keepe sure vnto the ende that beginning, wherewith we are vpholden,
15 Abe ale si mawunya gblɔe do ŋgɔ fifia ene be, “Egbe ne miese eƒe gbe la, migasẽ miaƒe dziwo me abe ale si miewɔ le miaƒe aglãdzedze la me ene o.”
So long as it is sayd, To day if ye heare his voyce, harden not your hearts, as in the prouocation.
16 Ame kawoe nye ame siwo se nya la, eye wodze aglã? Ɖe menye woawoe nye ame siwo katã Mose kplɔ do goe tso Egipte lae oa?
For some when they heard, prouoked him to anger: howbeit, not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 Eye ame kawo ŋue wòdo dziku ɖo hena ƒe blaene sɔŋ? Ɖe menye ame siwo wɔ nu vɔ̃, eye woƒe ŋutilã kukuwo tsi gbea dzi lae oa?
But with whome was he displeased fourtie yeeres? Was hee not displeased with them that sinned, whose carkeises fell in the wildernes?
18 Eye ame kawoe Mawu ka atam na be womage ɖe yeƒe dzudzɔƒe la me gbeɖe o, ne menye ame siwo sẽ to lae oa?
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but vnto them that obeyed not?
19 Ale míekpɔe kɔtɛe be womete ŋu ge ɖe dzudzɔƒe la me o le woƒe dzimaxɔse ta.
So we see that they could not enter in, because of vnbeliefe.
