< Hebritɔwo 2 >

1 Esia ta ele na mi be miaɖo to nyateƒenya siwo katã miese la nyuie, ne menye nenema o la, miate ɖa xaa tso nyateƒe la gbɔ.
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest haply we let them slip.
For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just retribution,
3 aleke míawo ya míawɔ asi le enu ne míegbe toɖoɖo ɖeɖenya gã sia? Ɖeɖe sia si Aƒetɔ la ŋutɔ ɖe gbeƒãe zi gbãtɔ la woɖo kpe edzi na mi to ame siwo ɖo toe la dzi.
how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation, which at the first was spoken through the Lord, and was confirmed to us through those who heard him,
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his will?
For not to angels did he put in subjection the world to come, of which we are speaking.
6 Ke ame aɖe gblɔ le Psalmowo ƒe agbalẽ me be, “Nu kae nye amegbetɔ be nèbua eŋuti, eye nu kae nye Amegbetɔ Vi be nèléa be nɛ?
But one in a certain place bore testimony, saying, “What is man, that thou art mindful of him, or the son of man, that thou carest for him?
7 Èwɔ wo wobɔbɔ ɖe anyi vie wu mawudɔlawo, ètsɔ ŋutikɔkɔe kple bubu ɖɔ nɛ abe fiakuku ene,
Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honor;
8 eye nètsɔ nu sia nu de eƒe afɔ te.” Esi Mawu tsɔ nu sia nu de eƒe dzikpɔkpɔ te la, meɖe naneke le eme o. Gake fifi laa la, medze abe nu sia nu le eƒe dzikpɔkpɔ te ene o.
thou didst put all things in subjection under his feet.” For in that he put all things in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him.
9 Míekpɔ Yesu, ame si wowɔ wòɖiɖi vie wu mawudɔlawo, ke fifia la, woɖɔ bubu kple ŋutikɔkɔe ƒe fiakuku nɛ, elabena ekpe fu yi ɖe ku me ale be to Mawu ƒe amenuveve me wòaxɔ ku ɖe ame sia ame nu.
But we see him who was made a little lower than the angels, Jesus, on account of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor; that by the grace of God he might taste death for every one.
10 Ɖeko wòle eteƒe be Mawu, ame si wɔ nuwo katã, eye wòlé nuwo katã ɖe te la nawɔ Yesu blibo to fukpekpe me be wòakplɔ viŋutsu geɖewo vɛ woakpɔ gome le eƒe ŋutikɔkɔe me, elabena Yesue kplɔ wo yi ɖeɖe la gbɔe.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the author of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 Ame si wɔa amewo kɔkɔe kple ame siwo wowɔ kɔkɔe la katã nye ƒome ɖeka me nɔlawo. Eya ta mekpe ŋu na Yesu be wòayɔ wo be ye nɔviwo o.
For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one; for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren;
saying, “I will declare thy name to my brethren, in the midst of the congregation will I sing praise to thee.”
13 Egagblɔ be, “Maɖo dzi ɖe Mawu ŋu.” Eye wògagblɔ be, “Nye kple vi siwo Mawu nam la míele afii.”
And again, “I will put my trust in him;” and again, “Behold, I, and the children which God gave me.”
14 Esi ɖeviawo nye ŋutilã kple ʋu ta la, eya hã kpɔ gome le woƒe amenyenye me, ale be to eƒe ku me wòatsrɔ̃ ame si si ku ƒe ŋusẽ le, ame si nye Abosam,
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner shared in the same, that through death he might bring to nought him who had the power of death, that is, the Devil,
15 eye wòɖe ga ame siwo zu kluviwo to vɔvɔ̃ na ku me le woƒe agbemeŋkekewo katã me.
and might deliver those who, through fear of death, were all their life-time subject to bondage.
For surely he doth not help angels, but he helpeth the offspring of Abraham.
17 Le susu sia ta wòle be woawɔe wòanɔ abe nɔviawo ene le go sia go me, ale be wòava zu nunɔlagã, nublanuikpɔla kple nuteƒewɔla le Mawu ƒe dɔ me, eye be wòaxe fe ɖe amewo ƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta.
Whence it was right for him to be in all respects made like to his brethren, that he might become a merciful and faithful high-priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
18 Esi wònye be eya ŋutɔ kpe fu to tetekpɔ me ta la, ete ŋu kpe ɖe ame siwo tem wole kpɔ la ŋu.
For in that he himself hath suffered, being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
