1 Esiae nye gbedeasi si va na Nyagblɔɖila Habakuk.
The oracle which he saw Habakkuk the prophet.
2 O Yehowa, zi nenie mado ɣli ayɔ wò hafi nàxɔ nam? Medo ɣli yɔ wò ʋuu gake ŋuɖoɖo aɖeke meva o. Nu ka ta medo ɣli be: “Ŋutasesẽ le edzi yim” gake mèɖo xɔname ɖa o.
Until when? O Yahweh have I cried for help and not you will hear I cry out to you violence and not you save.
3 Nu ka ta nèna mele nu vlo wɔwɔ teƒe kpɔm? Nu ka wɔ nèɖe mɔ na nu gbegblẽ wɔwɔ? Elabena gbegblẽ kple ŋutasesẽ le ŋkunye me eye avuwɔwɔ kple dzrewɔwɔ ƒo xlãm.
Why? do you make see me wickedness and mischief do you look at? and devastation and violence [are] to before me and it has been strife and contention it arises.
4 Ŋusẽ megale se la si o eye afiaŋkunɔtsotso bɔ ɖe ʋɔnudrɔ̃ƒewo elabena ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ɖe to ɖe ame dzɔdzɔewo. Eya ta wotsyɔ nu nya dzɔdzɔe dzi.
There-fore it grows numb [the] law and not it comes forth to perpetuity justice for [the] wicked [is] surrounding the righteous [person] there-fore it comes forth justice perverted.
5 Yehowa ɖo eŋu nam be, “Nɔ ŋku lém ɖe dukɔ siwo ƒo xlã wò la ŋuti eye nu si nàkpɔ la awɔ nuku na wò. Mele nane wɔ ge le wò ŋkekewo me esi ne wogblɔe na wò la màxɔe ase o.
See among the nations and look and be astounded be astonished for a deed [I am] about to do in days your [which] not you will believe if it will be recounted.
6 Mele Babiloniatɔwo fɔm ɖe te; dukɔ nyanyra ma si wɔa nu kabakaba tamemabumabutɔe; ame siwo azɔ to anyigba blibo la dzi be woaxɔ nɔƒe siwo menye wo tɔ o.
For here I [am] about to raise up the Chaldeans the nation bitter and impetuous which goes to [the] expanses of [the] earth to take possession of dwellings [which] not [belong] to it.
7 Ŋɔdzi kple vɔvɔ̃ le wo ŋu; wowɔa nu si dze woawo ŋutɔ ŋu; wodoa wo ɖokuiwo ɖe dzi.
[is] terrifying And awesome it from itself justice its and dignity its it comes forth.
8 Woƒe sɔwo ƒua du wu lãkle, eye wonyrana wu amegaxi le zã me. Woƒe asrafo sɔdolawo lũna ɖe nu dzi kple kalẽ; ɖeɖi metea woƒe sɔdolawo ŋu o. Wosaa agba le futɔwo dzi abe hɔ̃ si di be yeaƒo nu ene.
And they are swift more than leopards horses its and they are keen more than wolves of [the] evening and they paw [the] ground warhorses its and horsemen its from a distance they come they fly like an eagle making haste to devour.
9 Woƒe tameɖoɖo koe nye be woagblẽ nu. Woƒe amehawo gbɔna kple du abe yaƒoƒo kple dzo sesẽ le dzogbe ene, ne woalé aboyomewo woasɔ gbɔ fũu abe ƒutake ene.
All of it for violence it comes [the] totality of faces their [is] east-ward and it gathered like sand captive[s].
10 Woɖua fewu le fiawo kple dumegãwo ŋuti eye woɖea alɔme le woƒe mɔ sesẽwo ŋuti. Ɖeko woƒua kpo ɖe woƒe gli sesẽwo ŋuti eye woxɔa dua!
And it kings it derides and rulers [are] laughter to it it at every fortress it laughs and it heaped up earth and it captured it.
11 Emegbe wohona dzona abe ya si ƒo va yi la ene gake woƒe nu vɔ̃ do agba ɖe wo dzi elabena wotsɔ woƒe ŋusẽ wɔ woƒe mawue.”
Then it swept on a wind and it passed on and he is guilty [the one] who strength his [becomes] god his.
12 O Yehowa, mèli tso mavɔ me ke oa? Nye Mawu, nye Kɔkɔetɔ la maku o. O Yehowa, wòe tia wo be woadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu mí. O Agakpe, wòe ɖo wo be woahe to na mí.
¿ Not [are] you from antiquity O Yahweh God my holy [one] my not we will die O Yahweh to judgment you have appointed it and O rock to reprove you have established it.
13 Wò ŋkuwo dza ale gbegbe be màte ŋu akpɔ nu vɔ̃ɖi o eye màte ŋu alɔ̃ nu gbegblẽ hã o; ke nu ka tae nèɖe mɔ wole nu tovo wɔm? Nu ka ta nèzi kpi ame vɔ̃ɖiwo mi ame siwo le dzɔdzɔe wu wo?
[you are too] pure of Eyes for seeing evil and to look to mischief not you are able why? do you look at treacherous [people] are you silent? when swallows up a wicked [person] a [person] righteous more than him.
14 Èwɔ amewo le abe lã siwo le atsiaƒu me kple nu gbagbe siwo le atsiaƒu me kplɔla meli na o ene.
And you have made humankind like [the] fish of the sea like creeping thing[s] [which] not a ruler [is] over it.
15 Futɔ vɔ̃ɖi la ɖe wo katã ɖe go kple ƒu. Eda ɖɔ na wo eye wòɖe wo ɖe eƒe ɖɔ me eya tae wòle dzidzɔ kpɔm, le aseye tsom ɖo.
All of it with a fish hook he brings up he drags away it in net his and he gathers it in fishing net his there-fore he rejoices and he may be glad.
16 Esia ta wòsa vɔ na eƒe ɖɔ, eye wòdo dzudzɔ ʋeʋĩ na eƒe asabu, elabena eƒe ɖɔe na wòle agbe vivi ɖum eye nuɖuɖu damiwo le eƒe akɔme.
There-fore he sacrifices to net his so he may make smoke to fishing net his for by them [is] fat portion his and food his [is] fat.
17 Ɖe nàɖe mɔ be woanɔ ɖɔdada dzi ahatsrɔ̃ dukɔwo nublanuimakpɔtɔea?
¿ There-fore will he empty net his and continually to kill nations not will he spare?
