Here is a list of the descendants of Adam. When God created humans, he caused them to be like him in many ways.

He created one man and one woman. He blessed them, and on the day that he created them, he called them ‘human beings’.

When Adam was 130 years old, he became the father of a son who [grew up to] be just like him. That was the son he named Seth.

After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 more years, and during those years he became the father of other sons and daughters.
5 Exɔ ƒe alafa asiekɛ kple blaetɔ̃ hafi ku.
Adam lived 930 years altogether, and then he died.
6 Set xɔ ƒe alafa ɖeka kple atɔ̃ hafi dzi Enos.
When Seth was 105 years old, he became the father of Enosh.
7 Eganɔ agbe ƒe alafa enyi kple adre, eye wògadzi ŋutsuviwo kple nyɔnuviwo.
After Enosh was born, Seth lived 807 more years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
8 Exɔ ƒe alafa asiekɛ kple wuieve hafi ku.
Seth lived 912 years altogether, and then he died.
9 Esime Enos xɔ ƒe blaasiekɛ la, ezu fofo na Kenan,
When Enosh was 90 years old, he became the father of Kenan.

When Kenan was 70 years old, he became the father of Mahalalel.
13 Kenan ganɔ agbe ƒe alafa enyi kple blaene le Mahalalel kple Kenan dzidzi vɔ megbe. Edzi ŋutsuviwo kple nyɔnuviwo bubuwo hã emegbe.
After Mahalalel was born, Kenan lived 840 more years and became the father of other sons and daughters.
14 Kenan ku esi wòxɔ ƒe alafa asiekɛ kple ewo.
Kenan lived 910 years altogether, and then he died.
15 Mahalalel xɔ ƒe blaade-vɔ-atɔ̃ esi wòdzi Via ŋutsuvi Yared.
When Mahalalel was 65 years old, he became the father of Jared.
16 Esi Mahalalel dzi Yared megbe la, eganɔ agbe ƒe alafa enyi kple blaetɔ̃. Edzi ŋutsuviwo kple nyɔnuviwo,
After Jared was born, Mahalalel lived 830 more years and became the father of other sons and daughters.
17 eye wòku esi wòxɔ ƒe alafa enyi blaasiekɛ-vɔ-atɔ̃.
Mahalalel lived 895 years altogether, and then he died.
18 Yared xɔ ƒe alafa ɖeka blaade-vɔ-eve esi wòdzi Via ŋutsuvi Enɔk.
When Jared was 162 years old, he became the father of Enoch.
19 Eganɔ agbe ƒe alafa enyi. Edzi ŋutsuviwo kple nyɔnuviwo.
Jared lived 800 years after Enoch was born, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
20 Yared ku esi wòxɔ ƒe alafa asiekɛ blaade-vɔ-eve.
Jared lived 962 years altogether, and then he died.
21 Enɔk xɔ ƒe blaade-vɔ-atɔ̃ esi wòdzi Metusela.
When Enoch was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah.
22 Eganɔ agbe ƒe alafa etɔ̃, eye wòzɔ nyuie kple Mawu. Edzi ŋutsuviwo kple nyɔnuviwo.
Enoch lived in close fellowship with God for 300 years after Methuselah was born, and he became the father of other sons and daughters.
23 Enɔk xɔ ƒe alafa etɔ̃ blaade-vɔ-atɔ̃,
Enoch lived 365 years altogether in close fellowship with God.
24 eye esi wògazɔ kple Mawu kplikplikpli ta la, ebu vĩi, elabena Mawu kɔe dzoe.
Then one day he disappeared, because God took him away [to be with him in heaven].
25 Metusela xɔ ƒe alafa ɖeka blaenyi-vɔ-adre hafi dzi Via ŋutsuvi Lamek.
When Methuselah was 187 years old, he became the father of Lamech.
26 Eganɔ agbe ƒe alafa adre blaenyi-vɔ-eve. Edzi ŋutsuviwo kple nyɔnuviwo.
Methuselah lived 782 years after Lamech was born, and became the father of other sons and daughters.
27 Metusela ku esi wòxɔ ƒe alafa asiekɛ blaade-vɔ-asiekɛ.
Methuselah lived 969 years altogether, and then he died.
28 Lamek xɔ ƒe alafa ɖeka kple blaenyi-vɔ-eve hafi wòdzi Via ŋutsuvi Noa.
When Lamech was 182 years old, he became the father of a son,
29 Lamek na ŋkɔe be Noa si gɔmee nye “Gbɔdzɔe,” elabena egblɔ be, “Ame sia ahe gbɔdzɔe vɛ na mí tso agbledɔ sesẽ si wɔm míele le anyigba si Mawu ƒo fi dee dzi la me.”
whom he named Noah, [which sounds like the Hebrew word that means ‘relief’], because he said, “He will bring us relief from all the hard work we have been doing to produce food from the ground that Yahweh cursed.”
30 Lamek ganɔ agbe ƒe alafa atɔ̃ blaasiekɛ-vɔ-atɔ̃ le Noa dzidzi megbe. Edzi ŋutsuviwo kple nyɔnuviwo.
Lamech lived 595 years after Noah was born and became the father of other sons and daughters.
31 Lamek ku esi wòxɔ ƒe alafa adre blaadre-vɔ-adre.
Lamech lived 777 years altogether, and then he died.
32 Noa xɔ ƒe alafa atɔ̃, eye wòdzi ŋutsuvi etɔ̃: Sem, Ham kple Yafet.
When Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of a son whom he named Shem. Later he became the father of another son whom he named Ham, and later he became the father of another son whom he named Japheth.
