1 Esi Yakob se be bli nɔ Egipte la, egblɔ na viawo be, “Nu ka ta miele afi sia le mia nɔewo kpɔm ɖo?
Forsothe Jacob herde that foodis weren seeld in Egipt, and he seide to hise sones, Whi ben ye necgligent?
2 Mese be bli le Egipte. Miyi afi ma miaƒle bli vɛ hafi dɔ nawu mí míaku.”
Y herde that wheete is seeld in Egipt, go ye doun, and bie ye necessaries to vs, that we moun lyue, and be not wastid bi nedynesse.
3 Ale Yosef nɔviŋutsu ewo yi Egipte be yewoaƒle bli.
Therfor ten britheren of Joseph yeden doun to bie wheete in Egipt,
4 Ke Yakob mena Yosef nɔvi suetɔ Benyamin yi kpli wo o, elabena evɔ̃ be nya aɖe ava adzɔ ɖe edzi abe ale si wòdzɔ ɖe Yosef dzi ene.
and Beniamyn was withholdun of Jacob at hoome, that seide to hise britheren, Lest perauenture in the weie he suffre ony yuel.
5 Ale Israel ƒe viwo kple ame bubuwo tso anyigba geɖewo dzi va ɖo Egipte be yewoaƒle bli, elabena dɔwuame la nu sesẽ le Kanaan abe teƒe ɖe sia ɖe ene.
Sotheli thei entriden in to the lond of Egipt, with othere men that yeden to bie; forsothe hungur was in the lond of Canaan.
6 Esi wònye Yosef tututue nye dziɖula le Egipte katã, eye wònye eyae le blia dzi kpɔm ta la, eya gbɔe nɔviawo yi, eye wodze klo, de ta agu nɛ.
And Joseph was prince of Egipt, and at his wille whetis weren seeld to puplis. And whanne hise britheren hadden worschipid hym,
7 Yosef dze si wo enumake, gake ewɔ abe ɖe menya wo kura o ene. Eblu ɖe wo ta kple biabia sia be, “Afi ka mietso?” Woɖo eŋu be, “Míetso Kanaanyigba dzi; míeva bli ƒle ge.”
and he hadde knowe hem, he spak hardere as to aliens, and axide hem, Fro whennus camen ye? Whiche answeriden, Fro the lond of Canaan, that we bie necessaries to lyiflode.
8 Togbɔ be Yosef kpɔ nɔviawo dze sii hã la, woawo ya mekpɔe dze sii o.
And netheles he knewe the britheren, and he was not knowun of hem,
9 Tete wòɖo ŋku eƒe drɔ̃e siwo wòku tso wo ŋu la dzi, eye wògblɔ na wo be, “Ŋkutsalawoe mienye! Ɖe mieva be yewoakpɔ afi si toƒe le le anyigba la ŋu.”
and he bithouyte on the dremys whiche he seiy sumtyme. And he seide to hem, Ye ben aspieris, ye camen to se the feblere thingis of the lond.
10 Wogblɔ be, “Kpao! Amegã, nuɖuɖu ƒle ge ko míeva;
Whiche seiden, Lord, it is not so, but thi seruauntis camen to bie metis;
11 nɔviwo mí katã míenye. Nuteƒewɔlawo míenye. Menye ŋkutsalawoe míenye o!”
alle we ben the sones of o man, we comen pesible, and thi seruauntis ymaginen not ony yuel.
12 Etee ɖe wo dzi be, “Ɛ̃, ŋkutsalawoe mienye. Mieva be yewoakpɔ ale si nu te mía ŋui la ɖa.”
To `whiche he answeride, It is in other maner, ye camen to se the feble thingis of the lond.
13 Woɖe wo ɖokuiwo nu be, “Amegã, míele nɔviŋutsu wuieve; mía fofo le Kanaan. Mía nɔviŋutsu suetɔ le afi ma le mía fofo gbɔ, eye mía nɔviŋutsu ɖeka ku.”
And thei seiden, `We twelue britheren, thi seruauntis, ben sones of o man in the lond of Canaan; the leeste is with oure fadir, an other is not `on erthe.
14 Yosef yi edzi be, “Nenema? Nu ka esia fia? Efia be ŋkutsalawoe mienye.
This it is, he seide, that Y spak to you,
15 Mɔ si dzi mato ado miaƒe nya la ƒe nyateƒenyenye kpɔe nye esi: meta Farao ƒe agbe na mi be miadzo le Egipte akpɔ o va se ɖe esime mia nɔvi suetɔ nava afi sia.
ye ben aspieris, riyt now Y schal take experience of you, bi the helthe of Farao ye schulen not go fro hennus, til youre leeste brother come; sende ye oon of you,
16 Mia dometɔ ɖeka neyi wòakplɔ mia nɔvia vɛ! Made mi ame mamlɛawo gaxɔ me. Ekema míanya ne miaƒe nya la nye nyateƒe alo aʋatso. Ne eva eme be nɔviŋutsu suetɔ aɖeke mele mia si o la, ekema manya be ŋkutsalawoe mienye.”
that he brynge hym, forsothe ye schulen be in boondis, til tho thingis that ye seiden ben preued, whether tho ben false ether trewe; ellis, bi the helthe of Farao, ye ben aspieris.
17 Ale wode wo gaxɔ me ŋkeke etɔ̃.
Therfor he bitook hem to kepyng thre daies; sotheli in the thridde dai,
18 Le ŋkeke etɔ̃a gbe la, Yosef gblɔ na wo be, “Mawuvɔ̃lae menye. Mana mɔnukpɔkpɔ mi be miana nyateƒe la nadze.
whanne thei weren led out of prisoun, he seide, Do ye that that Y seide, and ye schulen lyue, for Y drede God;
19 Metsɔe be mienye nuteƒewɔlawo; mia dometɔ ɖeka koe atsi gaxɔ me le afi sia; ame bubuawo atsɔ bli ayi mia de na miaƒe ƒometɔwo.
if ye ben pesible, o brother of you be boundun in prisoun; forsothe go ye, and bere wheetis, whiche ye bouyten,
20 Ke ele be miakplɔ mia nɔvi suetɔ vɛ nam be manya nenye nyateƒe tom miele, eye makpɔ nublanui na mi.” Wolɔ̃ ɖe ɖoɖo sia dzi.
in to youre housis, and brynge ye youre leeste brother to me, that Y may preue youre wordis, and ye die not. Thei diden as he seide,
21 Wogblɔ na wo nɔewo be, “Vavãe wole to hem na mí ɖe nu si míewɔ ɖe mía nɔvia ŋuti la ta. Míekpɔ ale si wòxaxae esi wònɔ kuku ɖem na mí ɖe eƒe agbe ta, gake míedo tokui, eya tae xaxa sia va mía dzi ɖo.”
and thei spaken togidere, Skilfuli we suffren these thingis, for we synneden ayens oure brother, and we seiyen the anguysch of his soule, while he preiede vs, and we herden not; herfore this tribulacioun cometh on vs.
22 Ruben gblɔ be, “Nyemegblɔe na mi be migawɔe oa? Miegbe toɖoɖom. Azɔ la, míele kuku ge, elabena míewui.”
Of which oon, Ruben, seide, Whether Y seide not to yow, Nyle ye do synne ayens the child, and ye herden not me? lo! his blood is souyt.
23 Womenya be Yosef se nya siwo gblɔm yewole le esime wòtsi tsitre ɖe wo gbɔ la gɔme o, elabena eƒoa nu na wo to nyagɔmeɖela aɖe dzi.
Sotheli thei wisten not that Joseph vndirstood, for he spak to hem by interpretour.
24 Edzo le wo gbɔ yi teƒe aɖe, afi si wòate ŋu afa avi le. Esi wòtrɔ gbɔ la, etɔ asi Simeon dzi, eye wòna woblae le eŋkume.
And he turnede awei hym silf a litil and wepte; and he turnede ayen, and spak to hem.
25 Emegbe la, Yosef ɖe gbe na eƒe subɔlawo be woade bli ameawo ƒe kotokuwo me, ke egagblɔ na wo le adzame be woatsɔ fe si wo dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe xe la ade eƒe nuɖuɖu dzi le kotokua me! Etsɔ nu si woaɖu le mɔa dzi la hã na wo.
And he took Symeon, and boond hym, while thei weren present; and he comaundide the mynystris, that thei schulden fille her sackis with wheete, and that thei schulden putte the money `of alle in her baggis, and ouer this yyue metis in the weie; whiche diden so.
26 Ale wodo agba na woƒe tedziwo, eye wodze aƒemɔ dzi.
And thei `baren wetis on her assis, and yeden forth,
27 Ke esi wotɔ ɖe afi aɖe, eye wo dometɔ ɖeka ʋu eƒe kotoku be yeaɖe blia ƒe ɖe na tedziawo la, ekpɔ eƒe ga le eƒe kotokua me!
and whanne the sak of oon was opened that he schulde yyue meete to the werk beeste in the yn, he bihelde the money in the mouth of the bagge,
28 Edo ɣli gblɔ na nɔviawo be, “Mikpɔ nam ɖa! Nye gae nye esi le kotokua me!” Vɔvɔ̃ ɖo wo. Wode asi dzodzo me nyanyanya, eye wogblɔ na wo nɔewo be, “Nu kae nye esi Mawu wɔ na mí?”
and seide to his britheren, My monei is yoldun to me, lo! it is had in the bagge; and thei weren astonyed, and troblid, and seiden togidere, What thing is this that God hath doon to us.
29 Ale wova ɖo wo fofo, Yakob gbɔ le Kanaan, eye wogblɔ nu siwo katã dzɔ la nɛ.
And thei camen to Jacob, her fadir, in the loond of Canaan, and telden to hym alle thingis that bifelden to hem, and seiden,
30 Wogblɔ nɛ be, “Fia la ƒe kpeɖeŋutɔ blu ɖe mía ta, eye wòtsɔ mí abe ŋkutsalawo ene.
The lord of the lond spak harde to vs, and gesside that we weren aspieris of the prouynce;
31 Míegblɔ nɛ be, ‘Gbeɖe, nuteƒewɔlawo míenye, menye ŋkutsalawo míenye o.
to whom we answeriden, We ben pesible, nether we purposen ony tresouns;
32 Míegagblɔ nɛ hã be nɔviŋutsu wuievee míenye, fofo ɖeka ƒe viwo; ɖeka ku, eye suetɔ le mía fofo gbɔ le Kanaanyigba dzi.’
we ben twelue britheren, gendrid of o fadir, oon is not `on erthe, the leeste dwellith with the fadir in the lond of Canaan.
33 Ŋutsu la gblɔ na mi be, ‘Mɔ si dzi mato anya ne mienye nu si miebe yewonye le nyateƒe me lae nye esi: Migblẽ mia nɔvi ɖeka ɖe gbɔnye le afi sia, eye miatsɔ bli ayi aƒee na miaƒe ƒometɔwo,
And he seide to vs, Thus Y schal preue that ye ben pesible; leeffe ye o brother of you with me, and take ye metis nedeful to youre housis, and go ye, and brynge ye to me youre leeste brother,
34 gake mikplɔ mia nɔvi suetɔ vɛ nam. Ekema manya nenye ŋkutsalawo mienye loo alo nuteƒewɔlawo mienye. Ne miete ŋu ɖe nu si miebe yewonye fia la, ekema maɖe asi le mia nɔvia ŋu na mi, eye miate ŋu ava aƒle bli le afi sia ɣe sia ɣi si mielɔ̃ la.’”
that Y wite that ye ben not aspieris, and that ye moun resseyue this brother which is holdun in boondis, and that fro thennus forth ye haue licence to bie what thingis ye wolen.
35 Esi wotrɔ bli la le kotokuawo me la, wokpɔ ga si woxe ɖe blia ta le kotokuawo me! Vɔvɔ̃ ɖo wo kple wo fofo siaa.
While these thingis weren seide, whanne alle schedden out wheetis, thei founden money boundun in `the mouth of sackis. And whanne alle togidere weren aferd,
36 Tete Yakob do ɣli be, “Miena vinyewo le bubum ɖem. Yosef metrɔ gbɔ o; Simeon hã yi, eye azɔ miedi be yewoakplɔ Benyamin hã ayii! Nu sia nu tsi tsitre ɖe ŋunye!”
the fadir Jacob seide, Ye han maad me to be with out children; Joseph is not alyue, Symeon is holdun in bondis, ye schulen take a wey fro me Beniamyn; alle these yuels felden in me.
37 Ruben gblɔ na fofoa be, “Ne nyemekplɔ Benyamin gbɔe o la, ekema, wu vinye ŋutsuvi eveawo. Makpɔ Benyamin dzi wòanɔ dedie.”
To whom Ruben answeride, Sle thou my twei sones, if Y shal not brynge hym ayen to thee; take thou hym in myn hond, and Y schal restore hym to thee.
38 Ke Yakob ɖo eŋu be, “Vinye Benyamin mayi kpli mi o, elabena nɔvia Yosef ku, eye Benyamin koe nye dadaa ƒe vi si susɔ. Ne nane wɔe la, ku ko maku.” (Sheol )
And Jacob seide, My sone schal not go doun with you; his brother is deed, he aloone is left; if ony aduersite schal bifalle `to hym in the lond to which ye schulen go, ye schulen lede forth myn hoore heeris with sorewe to hellis. (Sheol )
