1 Dɔ gã aɖe to ɖe anyigba la dzi abe ale si wòto le Abraham ŋɔli ene. Ale Isak ʋu yi Gerar, afi si Abimelek, Filistitɔwo ƒe fia nɔ.
Forsothe for hungur roos on the lond, aftir thilke bareynesse that bifelde in the daies of Abraham, Isaac yede forth to Abymelech, kyng of Palestyns, in Gerara.
2 Yehowa ɖe eɖokui fiae le afi ma gblɔ nɛ be, “Mègayi Egipte o.
And the Lord apperide to hym, and seide, Go not doun in to Egipt, but reste thou in the lond which Y schal seie to thee,
3 Wɔ nu si magblɔ na wò la, eye nànɔ afi sia le anyigba sia dzi. Ne èwɔ nye gbe dzi la, manɔ kpli wò, eye mayra wò. Matsɔ anyigba sia katã ana wò kple wò dzidzimeviwo abe ale si medo ŋugbe na fofowò, Abraham ene.
and be thou a pilgrym ther ynne; and Y schal be with thee, and Y schal blesse thee; for Y schal yyue alle these cuntrees to thee and to thi seed, and Y schal fille the ooth which Y bihiyte to Abraham, thi fadir.
4 Mana wò dzidzimeviwo nasɔ gbɔ abe ɣletiviwo ene! Matsɔ anyigba siawo katã ana wò, eye wòanye yayra na dukɔwo katã le xexea me.
And Y schal multiplie thi seed as the sterris of heuene, and Y schal yyue alle these thingis to thin eyris, and alle folkis of erthe schulen be blessid in thi seed, for Abraham obeide to my vois,
5 Mawɔ esia, elabena Abraham wɔ nye sewo kple ɖoɖowo katã dzi.”
and kepte `my preceptis and comaundementis, and kepte cerymonyes and lawis.
And so Ysaac dwellide in Geraris.
7 Esi Gerar ŋutsuwo bia gbee tso Rebeka ŋu la, egblɔ be, “Nɔvinye nyɔnue!” Ewɔ esia, elabena evɔ̃ be ne yeʋu eme be ye srɔ̃e la, woawu ye be yewoaxɔe, elabena edze tugbe ŋutɔ.
And whanne he was axid of men of that place of his wijf, he answarde, Sche is my sistir; for he dredde to knowleche that sche was felouschipid to hym in matrymonye, and gesside lest peraduenture thei wolden sle him for the fairnesse of hir.
8 Ke le ɣeyiɣi aɖe megbe la, Abimelek, Filistitɔwo ƒe fia do mo ɖe fesre nu, eye wòkpɔ ale si Isak kple Rebeka nɔ fefe fem.
And whanne ful many daies weren passid, and he dwellide there, Abymelech, kyng of Palestyns, bihelde bi a wyndow, and seiy hym pleiynge with Rebecca, his wijf.
9 Abimelek dɔ ame ɖe Isak, eye wòhe nya ɖe eŋu be, “Srɔ̃wòe nye Rebeka! Nu ka ta nègblɔ be ye nɔvie ɖo?” Isak ɖo eŋu be, “Elabena mevɔ̃ be woava wum, axɔ Rebeka aɖe.”
And whanne Isaac was clepid, the kyng seide, It is opyn, that sche is thi wijf; whi liedist thou, that sche was thi sistir? Isaac answerde, Y dredde, lest Y schulde die for hir.
10 Abimelek biae be, “Aleke nàte ŋu awɔ nu sia ɖe mía ŋu? Ame aɖe ate ŋu awɔ ahasi kplii le esime menya be srɔ̃tɔe o, eye wòahe dzɔgbevɔ̃e va mía dzi.”
And Abymelech seide, Whi hast thou disseyued vs? Sum man of the puple myyte do letcherie with thi wijf, and thou haddist brouyt in greuous synne on vs. And the kyng comaundide to al the puple,
11 Abimelek ɖe gbeƒã be, “Ame sia ame si awɔ nu masɔmasɔ aɖe ɖe ame sia alo srɔ̃a ŋu la aku.”
and seide, He that touchith the wijf of this man schal die bi deeth.
12 Le ƒe ma me la, Isak ƒe nukuwo ʋã ŋutɔ; nuku ɖe sia ɖe si wòƒã la tse ku geɖe, elabena Yehowa yrae.
Forsothe Isaac sowide in that lond, and he foond an hundrid fold in that yeer; and the Lord blesside hym.
13 Ezu kesinɔtɔ gã aɖe, eye eƒe kesinɔnuwo ganɔ dzidzim ɖe edzi ko.
And the man was maad riche, and he yede profitynge and encreessynge til he was maad ful greet.
14 Eƒe lãhawo sɔ gbɔ ŋutɔ, eye subɔla geɖewo hã nɔ esi. Ale Filistitɔwo de asi ŋuʋaʋãe me.
Also he hadde possessioun of scheep and grete beestis, and ful myche of meyne. For this thing Palestyns hadden enuye to hym,
15 Woxe eƒe vudo siwo katã fofoa Abraham ƒe subɔlawo ɖe la.
and thei stoppiden in that tyme and filliden with erthe alle the pittis whiche the seruauntis of Abraham his fadir hadden diggid,
16 Fia Abimelek nya Isak le eƒe anyigba dzi. Egblɔ nɛ be, “Dzo yi teƒe bubu, elabena èzu kesinɔtɔ eye ŋusẽ le asiwò wu mí azɔ.”
in so myche that Abymelech him silf seide to Ysaac, Go thou awei fro vs, for thou art maad greetly myytier than we.
17 Ale Isak ʋu yi Gerar ƒe balime, eye wònɔ afi ma koŋ.
And he yede awei, that he schulde come to the stronde of Gerare, and dwelle there.
18 Isak gbugbɔ fofoa Abraham ƒe vudo siwo Filistitɔwo xe le fofoa ƒe ku megbe la ɖe, eye wògbugbɔ ŋkɔ siwo fofoa na wo la tsɔ na wo.
And he diggide eft other pittis, whiche the seruauntis of Abraham his fadir hadden diggid, and whiche the Filisteis hadden stoppid sumtyme, whanne Abraham was deed; and he clepide tho pittis bi the same names, bi whiche his fadir hadde clepid bifore.
19 Eƒe alẽkplɔlawo hã ɖe vudo yeye aɖe ɖe Gerar ƒe balime, eye woke ɖe tsi dzidzi ŋu le anyigba ƒe tume.
Thei diggiden in the stronde, and thei founden wellynge watir.
20 Ke alẽkplɔla siwo nye Gerartɔwo la dze go ɖe vudoa dzi. Wohe nya kple Isak ƒe alẽkplɔlawo gblɔ be, “Míaƒe anyigba kple míaƒe vudoe.” Ale wona ŋkɔ vudoa be, “Nyahehevudo.”
But also strijf of scheepherdis of Gerare was there ayens the scheepherdis of Isaac, and thei seiden, The watir is oure; wherfor of that that bifelde he clepide the name of the pit fals chaleng.
21 Isak ƒe amewo gaɖe vudo bubu, ke ʋiʋli gaɖo esia hã ŋu, eya ta wona ŋkɔ vudo la be, “Dɔmedzoevudo.”
And thei diggiden anothir, and thei stryueden also for that, and Ysaac clepide that pit enemytes.
22 Isak ɖe asi le vudo sia hã ŋu, eye wògaɖe bubu. Ke afi ma tɔwo megabia nya aɖekee o. Nu sia na wona ŋkɔ vudo sia be Rehobot si gɔmee nye “Teƒe Li Na Mí Azɔ.” Eya ta egblɔ be, “Elabena mlɔeba la, Yehowa di teƒe na mí, eye míaɖe ɖɔ.”
And he yede forth fro thennus, and diggide another pit, for which thei stryueden not, therfor he clepid the name of that pit largenesse; and seide, Now God hath alargid vs, and hath maad to encreesse on erthe.
Forsothe he stiede fro that place in to Bersabee,
24 Yehowa ɖe eɖokui fiae le zã si me wòɖo afi ma la, eye wògblɔ nɛ be, “Nyee nye fofowò Abraham ƒe Mawu, mègavɔ̃ o, elabena meli kpli wò, eye mayra wò. Mana wò dzidzimeviwo nasɔ gbɔ ale gbegbe be woazu dukɔ gã aɖe le nye ŋugbedodo na Abraham, ame si ɖo tom la ta.”
where the Lord God apperide to him in that nyyt; and seide, Y am God of Abraham, thi fadir; nyle thou drede, for Y am with thee, and Y schal blesse thee, and Y schal multiplie thi seed for my seruaunt Abraham.
25 Isak ɖi vɔsamlekpui, eye wòsubɔ Yehowa. Eʋu va tsi afi ma, eye eƒe subɔlawo ɖe vudo ɖi.
And so Ysaac bildide ther an auter to the Lord; and whanne the name of the Lord was inwardli clepid, he stretchide forth a tabernacle; and he comaundide hise seruauntis that thei schulden digge pittis.
26 Gbe ɖeka la, Isak xɔ amedzro aɖewo tso Gerar. Ame siawo nye Fia Abimelek kple eƒe aɖaŋudela Ahuzat kple eƒe aʋafia Pixol.
And whanne Abymelech, and Ochosat, hise frendis, and Ficol, duk of knyytis, hadden come fro Geraris to that place,
27 Isak bia wo be, “Nu ka ta mieva gbɔnye ɖo? Esi mienyam le miaƒe anyigba dzi ɖe madzɔmadzɔ dzi ɖe, nu ka wɔ ge mieva.”
Isaac spak to hem, What camen ye to me, a man whom ye hatiden, and puttiden awei fro you?
28 Woɖo eŋu be, “Míekpɔe dze sii kɔtɛe be Yehowa le yrawòm. Míedi be atamkaka nanɔ mía dome.
Whiche answeriden, We seiyen that God is with thee, and therfor we seiden now, An ooth be bitwixe vs, and make we a couenaunt of pees,
29 Do ŋugbe na mí be yemawɔ nuvevi mí abe ale si míewɔ nuvevi wò ene o. Le nyateƒe me la, nyui ko míewɔ na wò; ɖeko míena nèdzo le ŋutifafa me. Míeyra wò le Yehowa ƒe ŋkɔ me.”
that thou do not ony yuel to vs, as we touchiden `not ony thing of thine, nethir diden that that hirtide thee, but with pees we leften thee encressid bi the blessyng of the Lord.
30 Ale Isak ɖo kplɔ̃ gã aɖe na wo, woɖu nu, no nu abe dzadzraɖo na nubabla la ƒe wɔnawo ene.
Therfor Isaac made a feeste to hem; and after mete and drynk thei risen eerli,
31 Esi ŋu ke ŋdi kanya la, woka atam na wo nɔewo be yewomatsi tsitre ɖe yewo nɔewo ŋu o. Emegbe Isak do mɔ wo, eye wodzo yi aƒe kple dzidzɔ.
and sworen ech to other; and Isaac lefte hem peisibli in to her place.
32 Gbe ma gbe ke Isak ƒe subɔlawo va gblɔ nɛ be, “Míeke ɖe tsi ŋu le vudo si ɖem míele la me.”
Lo! forsothe in that dai the seruauntis of Ysaac camen, tellynge to him of the pit which thei hadden diggid, and seiden, We han foundun watir.
33 Eya ta Isak na ŋkɔ vudo la be, “Atamvudo.” Eya ta woyɔa du si wotso ɖe afi ma la be Beerseba va se ɖe egbe.
Wherfor Ysaac clepide that pit abundaunce; and the name of the citee was set Bersabee til in to present dai.
34 Esi Esau xɔ ƒe blaene la, eɖe Hititɔ Beeri ƒe vinyɔnu Yudit, eye wògaɖe Hititɔ Elon ƒe vinyɔnu Basemat.
Esau forsothe fourti yeer eld weddide twei wyues, Judith, the douytir of Beeri Ethei, and Bethsamath, the douyter of Elon, of the same place;
35 Ke Isak kple Rebeka mekpɔ dzidzɔ le Esau ƒe srɔ̃ siawo ɖeɖe ŋu o.
whiche bothe offendiden the soule of Isaac and of Rebecca.
