< Galatiatɔwo 3 >

1 O, mi Galatiatɔ bometsilawo! Ame kae flu mi? Miawo ŋutɔwoe wogblɔ Yesu Kristo ƒe kaklã ɖe atitsoga ŋuti ƒe nya na.
Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Yeshua the Messiah was openly portrayed among you as crucified?
2 Medi be mabia nya aɖe mi: Ɖe miexɔ Gbɔgbɔ la to se la ƒe dɔwɔwɔwo me, alo to nya si miese la dzixɔse mea?
I just want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
3 Ɖe mietsi bome nenema gbegbea? Esi mietsɔ Gbɔgbɔ la dze egɔmee la, azɔ ɖe miedi be yewoatsɔ ŋutilã awu enua?
Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?
4 Ɖe miekpe fu siawo dzodzroa, nenye dzodzroe hã?
Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?
5 Eya ta megale biabiam be ɖe Mawu tsɔ eƒe Gbɔgbɔ la na mi, eye wòwɔ nukunuwo le mia dome to se la ƒe dɔwɔwɔwo me, alo to nya si miese la dzixɔse mea?
He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
6 Nenema ke Abraham hã xɔ Mawu dzi se, eye wobui dzɔdzɔenyenye nɛ.
Even so, Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.”
7 Eya ta mise egɔme be ame siwo si xɔse le la, woawoe nye Abraham ƒe viwo.
Know therefore that those who are of faith are children of Abraham.
8 Ŋɔŋlɔ Kɔkɔe la kpɔe do ŋgɔ be Mawu atso afia na ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o la le xɔse me, eya ta wòɖe gbeƒã nyanyui la na Abraham do ŋgɔe be, “Woayra dukɔwo katã to dziwò.”
The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.”
9 Eya ta ame siwo katã si xɔse le la, woyra woawo hã abe Abraham, ame si xɔ Mawu dzi se la ene.
So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.
10 Elabena ame siwo katã tsɔ woƒe mɔkpɔkpɔ da ɖe se la ƒe dɔwɔwɔwo dzi la, wole fiƒode te, elabena woŋlɔ ɖi be, “Woaƒo fi ade ame sia ame si menɔ agbe ɖe nu sia nu si woŋlɔ ɖe Segbalẽ la me la nu o.”
For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the scroll of the Torah, to do them.”
11 Eme kɔ ƒãa be Mawu matso afia na ame aɖeke to se la dzi wɔwɔ me o, elabena woŋlɔ ɖi be, “Ame dzɔdzɔe la anɔ agbe to xɔse me.”
Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, “The righteous will live by faith.”
12 Wometu se la ɖe xɔse dzi o, ke boŋ mawunya gblɔ be, “Ame si wɔ nu siawo la, anɔ agbe ɖe wo nu.”
The law is not of faith, but, “The man who does them will live by them.”
13 Kristo ɖe mí tso se la ƒe fiƒode me, esi wòzu fiƒode ɖe mía teƒe elabena mawunya gblɔ be, “Woƒo fi de ame sia ame si woklã ɖe ati ŋuti la.”
Messiah redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”
14 Eɖe mí bena Abraham ƒe yayra nava ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o la dzi to Kristo Yesu me, ale be to xɔse me la, míaxɔ Gbɔgbɔ la ƒe ŋugbedodo.
that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Messiah Yeshua, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15 Nɔviwo, mana kpɔɖeŋu aɖe mi tso gbe sia gbe-gbenɔnɔ me. Abe ale si ame aɖeke mate ŋu atu alo atsɔ naneke akpe ɖe nubabla si amegbetɔwo wɔ ŋu o ene la, nenema wòle le go sia me hã.
Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void or adds to it.
16 Ŋugbedodo la nye Abraham kple eƒe dzidzimeviwo tɔ. Ŋɔŋlɔ Kɔkɔe la megblɔ be “na dzidzimeviwo o” si gɔmee nye ame geɖewo, ke boŋ “na wò dzidzimeviwo” si gɔmee nye ame ɖeka si nye Kristo.
Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say, “To descendants”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring”, which is Messiah.
17 Nu si gblɔm mele la gɔmee nye: Se si wowɔ le ƒe 430 megbe la, mete ŋu tu nubabla si Mawu wɔ do ŋgɔ la o, nenema ke metu ŋugbedodo la hã o.
Now I say this: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Messiah, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.
For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.
Then why is there the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.
Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.
Gbeɖe! Elabena ne se si wona la ana agbe la, ekema dzɔdzɔenyenye ava to se la me.
Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.
22 Gake Ŋɔŋlɔ Kɔkɔe la gblɔ be xexea me katã le nu vɔ̃ ƒe babla me, be ŋugbedodo si Mawu na to Yesu Kristo dzixɔse me la nasu ame siwo xɔe se la si.
But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Yeshua the Messiah might be given to those who believe.
23 Hafi xɔse sia nava la, míenɔ babla me le se la te va se ɖe esime woɖe xɔse si le vava ge la ɖe go.
But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Ale se la zu míaƒe mɔfiala va se ɖe esime Kristo va be woatso afia na mí to xɔse me.
So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Messiah, that we might be justified by faith.
25 Azɔ esi xɔse sia va la, míegale se, si nye mɔfiala la te o.
But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
For you are all children of God, through faith in Messiah Yeshua.
27 elabena mi ame siwo wode mawutsi ta na ɖe Kristo me la, miedo Kristo abe awu ene.
For as many of you as were immersed into Messiah have put on Messiah.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Messiah Yeshua.
If you are Messiah’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to promise.
