< Galatiatɔwo 1 >

Paul, an apostle—not from men nor through a man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead—
2 Nɔvi Kristotɔ, siwo le afi sia kplim la le gbe dom na mi. Na hame siwo le Galatia nutowo me:
and all the brothers with me, to the congregations in Galatia:
3 Amenuveve kple ŋutifafa si tso Mawu, mía Fofo la kple Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo,
Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 ame si ku ɖe míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta abe ale si Mawu, mía Fofo la ɖoe ene, eye wòɖe mí tso nu vɔ̃ ƒe xexe vɔ̃ɖi sia me le Mawu, mía Fofo ƒe lɔlɔ̃nu nu. (aiōn g165)
who gave Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us out of this present malignant age, according to the will of our God and Father, (aiōn g165)
5 Eya tɔe nye bubu tso mavɔ me yi ɖe mavɔ me. Amen. (aiōn g165)
to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Ewɔ nuku nam ŋutɔ be miele mia ɖokuiwo hem ɖa kaba alea tso Mawu, ame si yɔ mi be miakpɔ gome le agbe mavɔ si wòna to Kristo ƒe amenuveve me la gbɔ. Miedze nyanyui bubu aɖe yome,
I am sadly surprised that you are turning away so quickly from the one who called you by the grace of Christ, to a different gospel
—it is not a mere variation, but certain people are unsettling you and wanting to distort the Gospel of the Christ.
Now even if we, or an angel out of heaven, should preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed!
9 Abe ale si míegblɔe va yi ene la, megale egblɔm be: ne ame aɖe gblɔ nyanyui bubu aɖe wu esi miexɔ la, Mawu ƒe fiƒode neva ame ma dzi.
As we have just said, I here emphatically repeat: If anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed!
10 Nyemele agbagba dzem be madze amegbetɔwo ŋu o, ke boŋ be madze Mawu ŋu. Nyemele agbagba dzem be madze amewo ŋu o.
Am I just now appealing to men, or to God? Or am I trying to please men? You see, if I were still pleasing men I would not be a slave of Christ.
11 Nɔvi lɔlɔ̃tɔwo, medi be mana mianya be nyanyui si gblɔm mele la menye nya si tso ame aɖeke gbɔ o.
Now I want you to know, brothers, that the Gospel preached by me is not according to man;
12 Nyemexɔe tso ame aɖeke gbɔ o, alo menye ame aɖekee fiam o, ke boŋ mexɔe to ɖeɖefia me tso Yesu Kristo gbɔ.
because I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather it came through a revelation from Christ.
13 Miese nu tso ale si menɔ agbee va yi ŋu esi menɔ Yudatɔwo ƒe subɔsubɔ yome; ale si meti Mawu ƒe hame la yome nublanuimakpɔmakpɔtɔe, hedze agbagba be matsrɔ̃ wo.
You have heard of my former conduct while in Judaism, how I was rabid in my persecution of God's Church and tried to annihilate it;
14 Mekpɔ ŋgɔyiyi geɖe le Yudatɔwo ƒe subɔsubɔ me wu hanyeti geɖewo, eye meʋã ŋu vevie le mía tɔgbuiwo ƒe kɔnyinyiwo ŋu.
indeed I was advancing in Judaism beyond many Jews of my own age, being far more zealous for the traditions of my forefathers.
15 Gake esi wòdze Mawu, si tiam tso danye ƒe dɔ me ke ŋu, eye wòto eƒe amenuveve me yɔm,
But when God—who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me through His grace—resolved
16 eye wòɖe eya ŋutɔ Via fiam be magblɔ eƒe nya na ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o la, nyemegblɔ be maxɔ aɖaŋu tso amegbetɔ aɖeke gbɔ o.
to reveal His Son in me so that I might proclaim Him among the nations/Gentiles, I did not start by consulting with flesh and blood,
17 Nyemeyi Yerusalem be matsɔ nya la aɖo ame siwo nye apostolowo do ŋgɔ nam la ŋkume o, ke boŋ meyi Arabia. Emegbe la, metrɔ yi Damasko.
nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before I was; rather I went off into Arabia, and then returned to Damascus.
18 Le ƒe etɔ̃ megbe la, meyi Yerusalem be madze si Kefa, eye menɔ egbɔ ŋkeke wuiatɔ̃.
Subsequently, after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to compare notes with Peter, and stayed with him fifteen days.
19 Nyemekpɔ apostoloawo dometɔ aɖeke o, negbe Yakobo, Aƒetɔ la nɔvi ko.
(I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord's brother.
20 Mele kakaɖedzi nam mi le Mawu ŋkume be nya si ŋlɔm mele na mi la menye aʋatso o.
Really, before God, I am not lying in what I write to you.)
Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
So I remained unknown by face to the congregations of Judea (those in Christ)
23 Nu si wonya koe nye nya si amewo nɔ gbɔgblɔm be, “Ame si nɔ mía yome tim tsã la le gbeƒã ɖem xɔse si wòdze agbagba be yeatsrɔ̃ la fifia.”
—they just kept hearing that “He who once persecuted us now proclaims the faith he formerly tried to destroy.”
24 Eye wokafu Mawu ɖe tanye.
And they glorified God about me.
