< Hezekiel 35 >
1 Yehowa ƒe nya va nam be,
And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
2 “Ame vi, trɔ mo ɖe Seir to la gbɔ, gblɔ nya ɖi ɖe eŋu,
Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
3 eye nàgblɔ be nya si Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔe nye, ‘Metso ɖe ŋuwò, Seir to la, mado nye asi ɖa ɖe ŋuwò, eye matsɔ wò awɔ aƒedo kple gbegbee.
and say to it, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against thee, and will make thee a waste, and thou shalt be made desolate.
4 Matrɔ wò duwo woazu aƒedo, eye wò ŋutɔ àzu gbegbe. Ekema ànya be, nyee nye Yehowa.’
And I will cause desolation in thy cities, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
5 “‘Esi nèlé fu nye dukɔ Israelviwo ɖikaɖika tso blema ke, eye nètsɔ wo de asi na yi le esime woƒe tohehe ɖo kɔkɔƒe la,
Because thou hast been a perpetual enemy, and hast laid wait craftily for the house of Israel, with the hand of enemies with a sword, in the time of injustice, at the last:
6 eya ta meta ɖokuinye ƒe agbe, Aƒetɔ Yehowae gblɔe, be matsɔ wò ade asi na ʋukɔkɔɖi, eye wòanɔ wò yome. Esi mèlé fu ʋukɔkɔɖi o ta la, ʋukɔkɔɖi akplɔ wò ɖo.
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, verily thou hast sinned even to blood, therefore blood shall pursue thee.
7 Mawɔ Seir to la aƒedo kple gbegbe, eye maɖe ame siwo vana, gadzona ɖa le wo dzi.
And I will make mount Seir a waste, and desolate, and I will destroy from off it men and cattle:
8 Mana ame kukuwo nayɔ toawo dzi, ame siwo tsi yi nu la nayɔ wò togbɛwo dzi, wò baliwo me kple wò gbadzaƒewo katã.
and I will fill thy hills and thy valleys with slain men, and in all thy plains there shall fall in thee men slain with the sword.
9 Matsɔ wò awɔ gbegbee ɖika, eye amewo maganɔ wò duwo me o. Ekema ànya be, nyee nye Yehowa.’
I will make thee a perpetual desolation, and thy cities shall not be inhabited any more: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
10 “Elabena ègblɔ be, ‘Dukɔ eve kple anyigba eve siawo anye mía tɔwo, eye míaxɔ wo’ togbɔ be nye, Yehowa, menɔ afi ma hã.
Because thou saidst, The two nations and the two countries shall be mine, and I shall inherit them; whereas the Lord is there:
11 Eya ta Aƒetɔ Yehowa ta eƒe agbe be, ‘Mawɔ na mi ɖe dziku kple ŋuʋaʋã si mieɖe fia le miaƒe fuléle wo me nu, eye mana woanyam ne medrɔ̃ ʋɔnu wo.
therefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord, I will even deal with thee according to thine enmity, and I will be made known to thee when I shall judge thee:
12 Ekema mianya be, nye Yehowa mese vlodoamenya siwo katã miegblɔ tso Israel ƒe towo kple togbɛwo ŋuti. Miegblɔ be, “Wozu gbegbe, eye wotsɔ wo na mí be míaɖu.”
and thou shalt know that I am the Lord. I have heard the voice of thy blasphemies, whereas thou hast said, The desert mountains of Israel are given to us for food;
13 Mieƒo adegbe, tsi tsitre ɖe ŋunye, miegblɔ nya vɔ̃wo bababa ɖe ŋunye, eye mese wo.
and thou hast spoken swelling words against me with thy mouth: I have heard [them].
14 Ale Aƒetɔ Yehowa gblɔe nye esi, “Esime xexea me katã le aseye tsom la, mana nàzu gbegbe.
Thus saith the Lord; When all the earth is rejoicing, I will make thee desert.
15 Esi miekpɔ dzidzɔ esime Israel ƒe aƒe ƒe domenyinu zu gbegbe ta la, nu si mawɔ wòe nye àzu gbegbe, O! Seir to, wò kple Edom blibo la. Ekema mianya be nyee nye Yehowa.”’”
Thou shalt be desert, O mount Seir, and all Idumea; and it shall be utterly consumed: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord their God.
