< Efesotɔwo 5 >
1 Eya ta mizu mawusrɔ̃lawo abe vi lɔlɔ̃wo ene,
Be, therefore, imitators of God, as beloved children;
2 eye minɔ agbe le lɔlɔ̃ me abe ale si Kristo lɔ̃ mí hetsɔ eɖokui na ɖe mía ta abe nunana kple vɔsa si le ʋeʋẽm lĩlĩlĩ na Mawu la ene.
and walk in love, even as Christ has loved us, and has given himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God, for a sweet smelling savor.
3 Migaɖe mɔ na ahasiwɔwɔ, makɔmakɔnyenye kple ŋukeklẽ be woanɔ mia me o, elabena agbenɔnɔ siawo menyo na Mawu ƒe ame kɔkɔewo o.
But whoredom, and all uncleanness, and inordinate desire-- let them not even be named among you; (as it becomes saints; )
4 Mele be woase nya vlowo, gbegblẽnyawo kple dzeɖoɖo madzetowo le mia nu o, ke boŋ akpedada ɖe Mawu ƒe amenuveve ta.
nor obscenity, nor foolish talking, nor double meanings, nor things uncomely; but rather thanksgiving.
For this you know, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor lascivious man, who is an idolater, has inheritance in the kingdom of Christ, and of God.
6 Migana ame aɖeke nable mi o, elabena nu siawo tae Mawu ƒe dɔmedzoe vaa tomaɖolawo dzi ɖo.
Let no one deceive you with vain speeches; for on account of these things, the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.
7 Eya ta migade ha kple ame siawo ƒomeviwo o.
Be not, therefore, participants with them.
Minɔ agbe abe kekeli ƒe viwo ene.
For you were formerly darkness; but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light.
9 (Elabena kekeli ƒe kutsetse nye dɔmenyo, dzɔdzɔenyenye kple nyateƒe),
(Now, the fruit of life consists in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth.)
Approve what is well pleasing to the Lord.
11 Kadodo aɖeke meganɔ mi kple vivitimewɔna siwo nye tofloko la dome o, ke boŋ miɖe wo ɖe go.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.
12 Elabena enye ŋukpe be tomaɖolawo naƒo nu le woƒe vivimenuwɔnawo ŋuti.
For the things which are secretly done by them, it is base even to mention.
13 Ke nu sia nu si dzi kekeli klẽ ɖo la, dzena wokpɔna,
But all these reprehensible things are made manifest by the light; for whatever makes manifest is light.
14 elabena kekeli nana nu sia nu dzena gaglãa. Esia ta woŋlɔ ɖi be, “O, alɔ̃dɔla nyɔ, fɔ tso ame kukuwo dome, eye Kristo aklẽ ɖe dziwò.”
Wherefore, it says, Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine upon you.
15 Eya ta mikpɔ nyuie be miaganɔ agbe abe numanyalawo ene o, ke boŋ abe nunyalawo ene,
See, then, that you walk accurately: not as fools, but as wise men;
16 Miwɔ mɔnukpɔkpɔ ɖe sia ɖe ŋu dɔ nyuie, elabena ŋkekeawo nye vɔ̃.
redeeming time, because the days are evil.
17 Migawɔ nu abe bometsilawo ene o, ke boŋ midi nu si nye Aƒetɔ la ƒe lɔlɔ̃nu.
Therefore be not simpletons, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
18 Migano aha mu o, elabena ekplɔa ame dea hadzenuwɔwɔ me. Mina Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la boŋ nayɔ mia me.
And we not drunk with wine, by which comes dissoluteness; but be filled with the Spirit:
19 Mitsɔ Psalmowo kple kafukafuhawo ƒo nu na mia nɔewo.
speaking to one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord:
20 Mida akpe na Mawu Fofo la ɖaa le nu sia nu ta le míaƒe Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo ƒe ŋkɔ me.
giving thanks at all times for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father.
21 Mibɔbɔ mia ɖokuiwo na mia nɔewo abe bubudede Kristo ŋu ƒe dzesi ene.
Be subject to one another, in the fear of God.
22 Mi nyɔnuwo la, mibɔbɔ mia ɖokuiwo na mia srɔ̃wo abe ale si miebɔbɔ mia ɖokuiwo na Aƒetɔ la ene.
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
For the husband is head of the wife, even as Christ is head of the congregation; he is the saviour of the body.
24 Azɔ abe ale si hame la bɔbɔ eɖokui na Kristo ene la, nenema ke nyɔnuwo hã nabɔbɔ wo ɖokuiwo na wo srɔ̃wo le nu sia nu me.
Therefore, as the congregation is subject to Christ; so, also, let the wives be to their own husbands, in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ, also, loved the congregation, and gave himself for it;
26 be yeawɔe wòanɔ kɔkɔe to eŋutikɔklɔ kple tsi to nya la me,
that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it with a bath of water, with the word.
27 ale be yeate ŋu axɔe na ye ɖokui abe ŋutikɔkɔe hame si dza, eye ɖiƒoƒo kple kpɔtsɔtsɔ aɖeke mele eŋu o la ene, ke boŋ be wòanɔ kɔkɔe, eye fɔɖiɖi aɖeke maganɔ eŋuti o.
That he might present it to himself glorious, a congregation not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it might be holy, and without blemish.
28 Nenema ke wòle be ŋutsuwo nalɔ̃ wo srɔ̃wo abe woawo ŋutɔ ɖokuiwo ene. Ame si lɔ̃a srɔ̃a la, lɔ̃a eɖokui.
So ought husbands to love their own wives, as their own bodies: he who loves his own wife, loves himself.
29 Elabena ame aɖeke melé fu eya ŋutɔ ƒe ŋutilã kpɔ o, ke boŋ enyinɛ, eye wòléa be nɛ abe ale si Kristo wɔna na hame la ene,
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the congregation:
30 elabena eƒe ŋutilã ƒe ŋutinuwo míenye.
because we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 “Ɖe susu sia ta ŋutsu agblẽ fofoa kple dadaa ɖi, eye wòawɔ ɖeka kple srɔ̃a, eye wo ame eve la, woazu ŋutilã ɖeka.”
For this reason shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall adhere to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.
32 Esia nye nukunu gã aɖe, gake mele nu ƒom tso Kristo kple hame la ŋuti.
This is a great mystery; but I speak concerning Christ and the congregation.
33 Ke hã la, ele be ŋutsu ɖe sia ɖe nalɔ̃ srɔ̃a abe eya ŋutɔ ɖokui ene, eye srɔ̃nyɔnu hã nade bubu srɔ̃a ŋuti.
Therefore, also, let every one of you in particular, so love his own wife as himself; and let the wife reverence her husband.
