< Dɔwɔwɔwo 5 >
1 Ŋutsu aɖe si woyɔna be Anania kple srɔ̃a Safira hã dzra woƒe nunɔamesi aɖe,
A man now certain Ananias named with Sapphira the wife of him sold a property
2 ke Anania tsɔ ga la ƒe ɖe dzra ɖo hafi tsɔ mamlɛa vɛ na apostoloawo, nu si le nyanya me na srɔ̃a, Safira hã.
and he kept back from the proceeds, already being aware also the wife (of him, *k*) and having brought a portion certain at the feet of the apostles he laid [it].
3 Ke Petro biae be, “Anania, nu ka ta Satana xɔ aƒe ɖe wò dzi me ale, be nèda alakpa na Gbɔgbɔ kɔkɔe la, eye nètsɔ ga si nèdzra anyigba lae ƒe ɖe dzra ɖo?
Said however (*no*) Peter; Ananias, because of why has filled Satan the heart of you to lie to [for] you the Spirit Holy and to keep back (yourself *o*) from the proceeds of the land?
4 Ɖe anyigba la menye tɔwò hafi nèdzrae oa? Eye esi nèdzrae la, ɖe ga la menye tɔwò oa? Nu kae wɔ wò be nèɖe afɔ sia? Menye amegbetɔe nèda alakpa na o, ke boŋ Mawue.”
Surely remaining to you it was remaining And having been sold in the own authority it was? Why for did you purpose in the heart of you deed this? Not you have lied to men but to God!
Hearing now Ananias words these having fallen down he breathed his last. And came fear great upon all those hearing (these things; *k*)
6 Ke ɖekakpui siwo nɔ teƒea la tsɔ avɔ bla ɖe eŋu, eye wokɔe do goe yi ɖaɖi.
Having arisen then the younger [men] covered him and having carried [him] out they buried [him].
Eya menya nu si dzɔ ɖe srɔ̃a dzi o.
It came to pass now about hours three afterward also the wife of him not knowing that having come to pass came in.
Safira ɖo eŋu na Petro be, “Ɛ̃, ho mae míexɔ.”
Replied then (to *no*) (her *N(k)O*) (*k*) Peter; do tell me if for so much the land you sold? And she said; Yes for so much.
9 Petro gblɔ na Safira be, “Nu ka ta mi kple srɔ̃wò, Anania, miewɔ ɖeka be yewoate Aƒetɔ la ƒe Gbɔgbɔ kpɔ mahã? Kpɔ ɖa ɖekakpui siwo ɖi srɔ̃wò ƒe kukua la, woawoe nye ema le xɔa mɔnu le wò hã lalam ne woakɔ wò hã ayii.”
But Peter (said *k*) to her; Why [is it] for it was agreed together by you to test the Spirit of [the] Lord? Behold the feet of those having buried the husband of you [are] at the door and they will carry out you.
10 Enumake Safira hã mu dze anyi heku ɖe Petro ƒe afɔ nu eye esi ɖekakpuiawo va kpɔ eƒe kukua le anyigba la, wokɔ eya hã ɖaɖi ɖe srɔ̃a xa.
She fell down then immediately (at *N(k)O*) the feet of him and breathed her last; Having come in then the young [men] found her dead, and having carried out they buried [her] by the husband of her;
11 Nyadzɔdzɔ sia de vɔvɔ̃ gã aɖe hame blibo la kple ame siwo katã see la me.
And came fear great upon all the church and upon all those hearing these things.
12 Le ɣeyiɣi siawo me la, apostoloawo ƒoa ƒu edziedzi ɖe gbedoxɔ ƒe akpa si woyɔna be “Solomo ƒe Akpata” la me, eye wonɔa dzesi kple nukunu geɖewo wɔm le afi ma.
By now the hands of the apostles (were happening *N(k)O*) signs and wonders many among the people; And they were with one accord (all *NK(o)*) in the Colonnade of Solomon;
13 Ame geɖewo metea ŋu doa dzi tena ɖe apostoloawo ŋu o, ke hã la, ame sia ame tsɔ bubu tɔxɛ blibo na wo.
of the now rest no [one] was daring to join with them, but were magnifying them the people.
14 Ame geɖewo ŋutɔ, ŋutsuwo kple nyɔnuwo xɔ Aƒetɔ la dzi se, eye woge ɖe hame la me.
more now were added believing in the Lord, multitudes of men both and women,
15 Ɖe apostoloawo ƒe nukunuwo wɔwɔ ta la, amewo kɔa dɔnɔwo dana ɖe abawo kple abatiwo dzi le mɔwo to be ne Petro va yina la, eƒe vɔvɔli nadze ɖe wo dzi.
so as (even *no*) (into *N(k)O*) the streets to bring out the sick and to put [them] on (cots *N(k)O*) and mats, that when is coming Peter at least at least the shadow (shall envelop *NK(o)*) some of them.
16 Zi gã aɖe tɔ le du siwo ƒo xlã Yerusalem la me, eye amewo kɔ woƒe dɔnɔwo kple ame siwo me gbɔgbɔ vɔ̃wo le la vɛ, eye woda gbe le wo dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe ŋu.
Were coming together now also the multitude from the surrounding cities (into *k*) Jerusalem bringing [the] sick and [those] being tormented by spirits unclean, who were healed all.
17 Ke nunɔlagã la kple eŋume siwo tso Zadukitɔwo ƒe kɔ aɖe me la yɔ fũu kple ŋuʋaʋã.
Having risen up however the high priest and all those with him, which is being [the] sect of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy
18 Ale wolé apostoloawo de gaxɔ me.
and they laid the hands (of them *k*) on the apostles and put them in [the] jail public.
19 Ke le zã me la, mawudɔla aɖe va apostoloawo gbɔ le gaxɔa me. Eʋu gaxɔ la ƒe agbowo, eye wòkplɔ wo do goe. Egblɔ na wo be,
An angel however of [the] Lord during (the *k*) night (having opened *N(k)O*) the doors of the prison, having brought out then them said;
20 “Miyi gbedoxɔ la me, eye miagblɔ agbe yeye sia ƒe nya na ameawo.”
do go and having stood do speak in the temple to the people all the declarations of the life this.
Woyɔ Israel ƒe takpekpe gã me nɔlawo ƒo ƒu ɖe woƒe takpeƒe, eye wodɔ asrafoawo be woaɖakplɔ apostoloawo tso gaxɔ la me vɛ ne yewoadrɔ̃ ʋɔnu wo.
Having heard now they entered at the dawn into the temple and were teaching. Having come now the high priest and those with him they called together the Council even all the Senate of the sons of Israel and sent to the prison house to bring them.
And having come [the] officers not did find them in the prison. having returned then they reported back
23 “Esi míede la, míekpɔ gaxɔ ƒe agboawo nɔ tutu goŋgoŋ. Asrafowo nɔ tsitre ɖe agboa nu pɛpɛpɛ, gake esi míeʋu ʋɔa hege ɖe eme la, míekpɔ ame aɖeke le teƒea o.”
saying that The (indeed *k*) prison house we found shut with all security and the guards (outside *K*) already standing (before *N(k)O*) the doors, having opened [them] however inside no [one] we found.
When now they heard words these both (the priest and the *K*) captain of the temple and the chief priests were perplexed concerning them, what maybe would be this.
25 Ke ame aɖe va gblɔ na wo be ame siwo wolé de gaxɔ me la woe nye emawo le nya gblɔm na ameawo ŋusẽtɔe le gbedoxɔ la me.
Having come then a certain one he reported to them (saying *k*) that Behold the men whom you put in the prison are in the temple already standing and teaching the people!
26 Enumake asrafowo ƒe amegã kplɔ etevi aɖewo ɖe asi, eye woyi ɖalé apostoloawo. Asrafoawo kpɔ egbɔ be yewomelé wo sesẽtɔe o, elabena wonɔ vɔvɔ̃m be ne yewowɔ esia la, ɖewohĩ ameha gã si le afi ma la aƒu kpe yewo.
Then having gone the captain with the officers (was bringing *N(k)O*) them not with force, they were afraid of for the people (so that *k*) lest they may be stoned.
27 Wokplɔ apostoloawo va ʋɔnudrɔ̃ƒe la ƒe ŋkume be nunɔlagã nabia gbe wo.
Having brought then them they set [them] in the Council. And asked them the high priest
28 Ebia wo be, “Menye ɖe míede se na mi vevie be miagafia nu le ŋkɔ sia me azɔ oa? Ke azɔ kura boŋ miekaka míaƒe nufiafia ɖe Yerusalem du blibo la me, eye mieɖoe kplikpaa be yewoatsɔ ame sia ƒe ku aɖo mía dzi!”
saying; (Surely *NK*) by a charge we commanded you not to teach in name this. And behold you have filled Jerusalem with the teaching of you and you intend to bring upon us the blood of the man this.
29 Petro kple apostoloawo gblɔ be, “Ele na mí be míawɔ ɖe Mawu ƒe gbe dzi ke menye ɖe amegbetɔ tɔ dzi o.
Answering however (*k*) Peter and the apostles said; To obey it is necessary to God rather than to men.
The God of the fathers of us raised up Jesus whom you yourselves killed having hanged [Him] on a tree;
31 Eya Mawu do ɖe dzi ɖe eƒe ɖusime be wòanye Fiavi kple Ɖela, be wòahe dzimetɔtrɔ kple nu vɔ̃ tsɔtsɔke vɛ na Israel.
Him God [as] Prince and Savior exalted by the right hand of Him (*no*) to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
32 Míawo ŋutɔ míekpɔ nu siawo teƒe kple Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe si Mawu naa ame siwo wɔa eƒe gbe dzi la hã.”
And we ourselves are (of him *k*) witnesses of the declarations these and also the Spirit (now *k*) Holy whom has given God to those obeying Him.
33 Esi wose esia la, eku dzi na wo vevie, eye woɖo be yewoawu apostoloawo.
And (having heard *NK(o)*) they felt cut up and (they were desiring *N(k)O*) to execute them.
Etsi tsitre le takpekpea me gblɔ be woaɖe kpɔ apostoloawo vie.
Having risen up however a certain [man] in the Council a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law honored by all the people, he commanded [them] outside for a short (while *k*) the (men *N(K)O*) to put,
35 Azɔ Gamaliel trɔ ɖe etɔwo gbɔ gblɔ na wo be, “Israeltɔwo, mikpɔ nyuie le ɖoɖo si wɔm miele ɖe ame siawo ŋu la ŋuti.
He said then to them; Men Israelites, do take heed to yourselves with men these what you are about to do.
36 Ɣeyiɣi aɖe va yi la, Teuda aɖe va do ɖe mía dome, eye wòwɔ eɖokui hlodzoo be yenye amegã aɖe. Ame abe alafa ene sɔŋ dze eyome. Ke nu kae va dzɔ? Wowu eya ŋutɔ, eye eyomedzelawo katã kaka gbẽe, eye nu nyui aɖeke medo tso eme o.
Before for these days rose up Theudas affirming to be somebody himself, to whom (were joined *N(k)(o)*) of men number (about *N(k)O*) four hundred; who was executed, and all as many as were persuaded by him they were dispersed and they it came to no [thing].
Eya hã dze agbagba he amewo ɖe eɖokui ŋu abe eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo ene, gake eya hã va ku eye eyomedzelawo kaka.”
After this man rose up Judas the Galilean in the days of the registration and drew away people (significant number of *K*) after him; And he And he perished, and all as many as were persuaded by him were scattered.
38 Gamaliel yi edzi be, “Tɔnyetɔwo, aɖaŋu si medi be maɖo na mie nye be miɖe asi le ame siawo ŋu kpoo. Ne wònye woawo ŋutɔ ƒe nufiafia kakam wole la, ekema eteƒe madidi o la, nu sia nu awu enu.
And now I say to you, do withdraw from men these and (do release *N(k)O*) them, for if shall be from men plan this or work this, it will be overthrown;
if however from God it is, not (you will be able *N(k)O*) to overthrow (them, *N(K)O*) otherwise otherwise also fighting against God You shall be found.
40 Takpekpea me nɔlawo xɔ Gamaliel ƒe aɖaŋu sia ale woyɔ apostoloawo vɛ, eye woƒo wo. Emegbe la, wode se na wo be womegagblɔ nya aɖeke le Yesu ƒe ŋkɔ me gbeɖe o, eye woɖe asi le wo ŋu.
They were persuaded now by him, and having called in the apostles having beaten they commanded [them] not to speak in the name of Jesus and released (them. *k*)
41 Apostoloawo ɖe abla do go le takpexɔa me kple dzidzɔ blibo be wodo ŋukpe yewo le Yesu ƒe ŋkɔ ta.
They indeed therefore were departing rejoicing from [the] presence of the Council, that they had been counted worthy for the Name (*o*) (of him *K(O)*) to suffer dishonor;
42 Azɔ tso ŋkeke yi ŋkeke, wonɔa gbedoxɔ la ƒe akpata me, nɔa nu fiam, eye nenema ke wowɔna tso aƒe me yi aƒe me, eye womedzudzɔ nufiafia o, ke boŋ wonɔ gbeƒã ɖem nyanyui la, be Yesue nye Kristo la.
Every then day in the temple and in house not they were ceasing teaching and evangelising [that] the Christ [is] Jesus.
