< Dɔwɔwɔwo 4 >
1 Esi Petro kple Yohanes wonɔ nu ƒom na ameawo alea la, nunɔlawo kple gbedoxɔŋudzɔlawo ƒe amegã kple Zadukitɔwo dometɔ aɖewo va do ɖe wo dzi.
And as they spoke to the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came on them,
2 Petro kple Yohanes wonɔ gbeƒã ɖem be Yesu gagbɔ agbe tso ame kukuwo dome si fia be ame kukuwo ƒe tsitretsitsi aɖe li. Enye nu si medzɔ dzi na wo kuraa o.
Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
3 Eya ta wolé Petro kple Yohanes, gake esi fiẽ ɖo xoxo ta la, wokplɔ wo ame eve la de gaxɔ me be woadɔ afi ma ŋu nake.
And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold to the next day: for it was now eventide.
4 Togbɔ be edzɔ alea hã la, ame geɖe siwo se Petro kple Yohanes ƒe nyagbɔgblɔ gbe ma gbe la xɔe se hetrɔ dzi me, eye wozu xɔsetɔwo. Ale xɔsetɔwo katã ƒe xexlẽme anɔ abe akpe atɔ̃ ene.
However, many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
6 Takpekpea me nɔla aɖewo nye Anas si nye nunɔlagã, Kayafa, Yohanes, Aleksandro kple nunɔlagã ƒe ƒometɔ aɖewo.
And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
7 Wokplɔ Petro kple Yohanes va woƒe ŋkumee. Takpekpea me nɔlawo bia Petro kple Yohanes be, “Ame ka ƒe mɔɖeɖe alo ŋkɔ mee miewɔ nu sia?”
And when they had set them in the middle, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have you done this?
8 Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la do ŋusẽ Petro, eye wòɖo eŋu na wo be, “Dziɖulawo kple dumegãwo!
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said to them, You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the weak man, by what means he is made whole;
Be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him does this man stand here before you whole.
11 Eyae nye, “‘Kpe si mi xɔtulawo miegbe la, eya kee trɔ zu dzogoedzikpe.’
This is the stone which was set at nothing of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Yesu ɖeka pɛ ko dzi ame sia ame ato hafi akpɔ xɔxɔ, elabena ŋkɔ bubu aɖeke mele dziƒoa te si wona amegbetɔwo, esi me wòle be míakpɔ xɔxɔ la le o.”
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
13 Esi takpekpea kpɔ Petro kple Yohanes ƒe dzideƒo, evɔ wonye ame gbɔlo siwo menya agbalẽ o la, woƒe mo wɔ yaa, eye wode dzesii be ame siawo nɔ Yesu ŋu va yi.
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
14 Gawu la, esi wònye be tekunɔ si ŋu woda gbe le hã nɔ tsitre ɖe wo dome ta la, nya aɖeke megale wo si woagblɔ o.
And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
15 Le esia ta la, wona wokplɔ Petro kple Yohanes do goe le xɔa me, ale be woate ŋu akpɔ mɔnu ade adaŋu le wo ŋu.
But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
16 Azɔ Takpekpea me nɔlawo bia wo nɔewo be, “Nu ka tututu míawɔ ame eve siawo? Enye nyateƒe matrɔmatrɔ be woda gbe le tekunɔ sia ŋu vavã eye nukunu sia ɖi hoo le Yerusalem du blibo la me eye míate ŋu asẽ nu o.
Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle has been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
17 Gake be womegakaka woƒe nya si gblɔm wole o la, mina míayɔ wo agbe na wo be womekpɔ mɔ agagblɔ nya alo afia nu ame aɖeke le Yesu ƒe ŋkɔ me o.”
But that it spread no further among the people, let us straightly threaten them, that they speak from now on to no man in this name.
18 Ale wogayɔ Petro kple Yohanes va wo dome, eye wode se na wo vevie be yewomedi be yewoagasee alo akpɔ wo woanɔ nu fiam tso Yesu ŋu le teƒe aɖeke kura o.
And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 Ke Petro kple Yohanes ɖo eŋu gblɔ na wo be, “Miawo ŋutɔwo mibu eŋu kpɔ be enyo le Mawu gbɔ be míase amegbetɔ ƒe gbe, agbe eya Mawu ƒe gbedziwɔwɔ hã?
But Peter and John answered and said to them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, judge you.
For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was showed.
23 Esi woɖe asi le Petro kple Yohanes ŋu teti ko la, woti wo tɔ nusrɔ̃lawo bubuawo yii ɖagblɔ nu siwo katã nunɔlagãwo kple amegãwo gblɔ la na wo.
And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.
24 Enumake wo katã woƒo ƒu do gbe ɖa na Mawu hegblɔ be, “O Aƒetɔ Ŋusẽkatãtɔ, wò ame si wɔ dziƒo, anyigba, atsiaƒu kple nu siwo katã le eme.
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, you are God, which have made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
25 ȃo nu to Gbɔgbɔ kɔkɔe la dzi, to mía fofo David, wò dɔla dzi be, “‘Nu ka ta dukɔwo do dziku ɖe Mawu ŋu, eye amewo le bablawo wɔm dzodzro ɖo?
Who by the mouth of your servant David have said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
For of a truth against your holy child Jesus, whom you have anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
28 Ke nu si wò ŋutɔ nèɖo da ɖi le wò nunya kple ŋusẽ me xoxo la ko ate ŋu adzɔ.
For to do whatever your hand and your counsel determined before to be done.
29 Azɔ míaƒe Mawu, wò ŋutɔ se ale si wole kakam ɖe mía ŋue la ɖa! Na dzideƒo blibo mí wò subɔlawo be míate ŋu agblɔ wò nya la kple dzideƒo.
And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant to your servants, that with all boldness they may speak your word,
30 Do wò asi ɖa be míate ŋu ada gbe le dɔnɔwo ŋu, awɔ nukunu gãwo le wò dɔla Kɔkɔe, Yesu, ƒe ŋkɔ me.”
By stretching forth your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of your holy child Jesus.
31 Esi wodo gbe ɖa vɔ alea la, xɔ si me wonɔ la ʋuʋu sesĩe. Wo katã yɔ fũu kple Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la, eye wogblɔ Mawu ƒe nya la kple dzideƒo gã blibo.
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
32 Xɔsetɔ siawo katã ƒe dziwo kple susuwo nɔ ɖeka. Wo dometɔ aɖeke mebuna be nu si le ye si la nye ye ɖeka ko tɔ o, ke boŋ womaa nuwo ɖe wo nɔewo dome.
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that something of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 Apostolowo kpɔ ŋusẽ gblɔ mawunya detowo, heɖe gbeƒã Aƒetɔ Yesu ƒe tsitretsitsi tso ame kukuwo dome, eye amenuveve gã le wo katã dzi.
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was on them all.
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made to every man according as he had need.
And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation, ) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
