< Dɔwɔwɔwo 20 >
1 Le nu siawo katã megbe la, Paulo yɔ nusrɔ̃lawo eye wògagblɔ nya na wo hede dzi ƒo na wo. Emegbe la, eklã wo hedzo ɖo ta Makedonia.
And after the ceasing of the tumult, Paul having called near the disciples, and having embraced [them], went forth to go on to Macedonia;
2 Le du sia du si me wòɖo le mɔa dzi me la, eƒoa nu hexlɔ̃a nu xɔsetɔ siwo le afi ma va se ɖe esi wòɖo Griki.
and having gone through those parts, and having exhorted them with many words, he came to Greece;
3 Paulo nɔ Helanyigba dzi ɣleti etɔ̃, eye esi wònɔ dzadzram ɖo be yeayi Siria la, ese be Yudatɔwo nɔ ɖoɖo wɔm be yewoawui. Le esia ta la, eɖoe be yeagatrɔ aɖo ta Makedonia boŋ.
having made also three months' [stay] — a counsel of the Jews having been against him — being about to set forth to Syria, there came [to him] a resolution of returning through Macedonia.
4 Ame geɖewo kplɔ Paulo ɖo ɖa va se ɖe keke Terki. Wo dometɔ aɖewoe nye Sopata si nye Piro ƒe vi tso Berea, Aristako kple Sekundo siwo tso Tesalonika, Gayo tso Derbe, Timoteo, Tikiko kple Trofimo, ame siwo tso Asia nuto me.
And there were accompanying him unto Asia, Sopater of Berea, and of Thessalonians Aristarchus and Secundus, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus, and of Asiatics Tychicus and Trophimus;
5 Ame siawo katã do ŋgɔ na mí, eye wonɔ mía lalam le Troa.
these, having gone before, did remain for us in Troas,
6 Esime míeɖu Amɔ Maʋamaʋã Ŋkeke la vɔ ko la, míeɖo tɔdziʋu le Filipi, eye le ŋkeke atɔ̃ megbe la, míeva ɖo Troa si hã le Terki. Míenɔ afi ma kɔsiɖa ɖeka.
and we sailed, after the days of the unleavened food, from Philippi, and came unto them to Troas in five days, where we abode seven days.
7 Le kɔsiɖa ƒe ŋkeke gbãtɔ dzi la, míeƒo ƒu be míaxɔ Aƒetɔ ƒe Nuɖuɖu Kɔkɔe la. Pauloe gblɔ nya gbe ma gbe. Esi wònye gbe ma gbee nye Paulo ƒe ŋkeke mamlɛtɔ le afi ma ta la, enɔ nu ƒom ʋuu va se ɖe zãtitina ke.
And on the first of the week, the disciples having been gathered together to break bread, Paul was discoursing to them, about to depart on the morrow, he was also continuing the discourse till midnight,
8 Wosi akaɖiwo ɖe afi si míenɔ le dziƒoxɔa dzi.
and there were many lamps in the upper chamber where they were gathered together,
9 Esi Paulo nɔ nu ƒom alea la, ɖekakpui aɖe si woyɔna be Eutiko la nɔ akɔlɔ̃e dɔm le fesre ɖeka nu. Kasia, Eutiko ge tso fesrea nu le dziƒoxɔ etɔ̃lia dzi ke va dze anyigba kpla, eye wòku enumake.
and there was sitting a certain youth, by name Eutychus, upon the window — being borne down by a deep sleep, Paul discoursing long — he having sunk down from the sleep, fell down from the third story, and was lifted up dead.
10 Nu si dzɔ la metso dzika ƒo na Paulo kura o, ke boŋ eɖi ɖe anyigba, kɔ ɖekakpui la ɖe eƒe abɔwo me, eye wògblɔ na ameha la be, “Migawɔ ʋunyaʋunya o, naneke medzɔ ɖe edzi o. Egale agbe.”
And Paul, having gone down, fell upon him, and having embraced [him], said, 'Make no tumult, for his life is in him;'
11 Wo katã wogatrɔ yi dziƒoxɔ la dzi, eye woɖu Aƒetɔ ƒe Nuɖuɖu Kɔkɔe la. Le esia megbe la, Paulo gayi eƒe nuƒoa dzi ʋuu va se ɖe fɔŋli hafi wòdzo le wo gbɔ.
and having come up, and having broken bread, and having tasted, for a long time also having talked — till daylight, so he went forth,
12 Le nyateƒe me la, ɖekakpui la gagbɔ agbe, esia na be ameha la kpɔ dzidzɔ ŋutɔ.
and they brought up the lad alive, and were comforted in no ordinary measure.
13 Paulo to afɔ yi Aso, ke míawo míeɖo tɔdziʋu hedze ŋgɔ nɛ.
And we having gone before unto the ship, did sail to Assos, thence intending to take in Paul, for so he had arranged, intending himself to go on foot;
14 Eva tu mí le Aso, eye mí katã míeɖo ʋu yi Mitilene.
and when he met with us at Assos, having taken him up, we came to Mitylene,
15 Tso afi ma la, míeva to Kios ŋu, va to Samo, eye mlɔeba la, míeva ɖo Mileto esi ŋu ke.
and thence having sailed, on the morrow we came over-against Chios, and the next day we arrived at Samos, and having remained in Trogyllium, on the following day we came to Miletus,
16 Paulo megadi be yeatɔ ɖe Efeso azɔ o, be yemagblẽ ɣeyiɣi le Asia o. Ke edi be ne yeate ŋui la, yeaɖo Yerusalem kaba, aɖu Pentekoste ŋkeke la le afi ma.
for Paul decided to sail past Ephesus, that there may not be to him a loss of time in Asia, for he hasted, if it were possible for him, on the day of the Pentecost to be at Jerusalem.
17 Esi míeɖi go ɖe Mileto la, Paulo ɖo ame ɖe Efeso hamemegãwo be woava do go ye le tɔdziʋu la me.
And from Miletus, having sent to Ephesus, he called for the elders of the assembly,
18 Esi wova ɖo la, egblɔ na wo be, “Mienya ale si menɔ mia dome tso ŋkeke gbãtɔ si meva Asia nuto me va se ɖe fifia.
and when they were come unto him, he said to them, 'Ye — ye know from the first day in which I came to Asia, how, with you at all times I was;
19 Mesubɔ Aƒetɔ la le ɖokuibɔbɔ kple aɖatsi me togbɔ be Yudatɔwo tem kpɔ to woƒe nugbeɖoɖowo ɖe ŋunye me hã.”
serving the Lord with all humility, and many tears, and temptations, that befell me in the counsels of the Jews against [me];
20 Gake hã la, nyemadzudzɔ nyateƒe la gbɔgblɔ na mi le dutoƒo loo alo le miaƒe aƒewo me kpɔ o.
how nothing I did keep back of what things are profitable, not to declare to you, and to teach you publicly, and in every house,
21 Nya ɖeka ma ke ko megblɔ na Yudatɔwo kple Grikitɔwo siaa be ehiã be woatrɔ ɖe Mawu ŋu to Yesu Kristo dzixɔse me.
testifying fully both to Jews and Greeks, toward God reformation, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
22 “Fifia la, Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la kplɔm yina Yerusalem, togbɔ be nyemenya nu si le lalayem le afi ma o hã.
'And now, lo, I — bound in the Spirit — go on to Jerusalem, the things that shall befall me in it not knowing,
23 Nu si ko Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la gblɔ nam le du sia du mee nye be fukpekpe kple gamenɔnɔ nye nu siwo wòle be makpɔ mɔ na.
save that the Holy Spirit in every city doth testify fully, saying, that for me bonds and tribulations remain;
24 Ke viɖe aɖeke mele nye agbe ŋu o, negbe ɖeko mewɔ eŋuti dɔ tsɔ wɔ dɔ si Aƒetɔ Yesu de asi nam la. Dɔ lae nye be magblɔ nyanyui la na amewo le Mawu ƒe amenuveve gã ŋuti.
but I make account of none of these, neither do I count my life precious to myself, so that I finish my course with joy, and the ministration that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify fully the good news of the grace of God.
25 “Azɔ menyae nyuie be mi ame siwo katã dome menɔ wɔ dɔ, heɖe gbeƒã mawufiaɖuƒe la la, dometɔ aɖeke megale kpɔ nye ge akpɔ o.
'And now, lo, I have known that no more shall ye see my face, — ye all among whom I did go preaching the reign of God;
26 Medi be magblɔ na mi kɔtɛe be womele ame aɖeke ƒe ʋu bia ge tso asinye o,
wherefore I take you to witness this day, that I [am] clear from the blood of all,
27 elabena nyemeɣla mawunya la ƒe akpa aɖeke ɖe mi o.
for I did not keep back from declaring to you all the counsel of God.
28 Azɔ la, mikpɔ mia ɖokui dzi nyuie, eye mikpɔ egbɔ be, mienyi Mawu ƒe alẽha si nye hame si wòtsɔ eya ŋutɔ ƒe ʋu ƒle, esi Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la ɖo mi be mianye hadzikpɔlawo.
'Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit made you overseers, to feed the assembly of God that He acquired through His own blood,
29 Menya nyuie be ne medzo la, aʋatsonufiala aɖewo ava ɖo mia dome abe amegaxi wɔadãwo ene, eye woadze agbagba be yewoagblẽ nu le alẽha si nye hamea la ŋu.
for I have known this, that there shall enter in, after my departing, grievous wolves unto you, not sparing the flock,
30 Mia dometɔ aɖewo hã ate kpɔ atrɔ nyateƒe la bubue be amewo nadze yewo yome.
and of your own selves there shall arise men, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
31 Eya ta minɔ ŋudzɔ! Miɖo ŋku ƒe etɔ̃ siwo menɔ mia dome la dzi. Miɖo ŋku ale si mekpɔa mia dzi zã kple keli kple ale si mexlɔ̃a nu mi kple aɖatsi zi geɖe la dzi.
'Therefore, watch, remembering that three years, night and day, I did not cease with tears warning each one;
32 “Azɔ metsɔ mi de asi na Mawu, eya ame si ƒe amenuvevenya ana be miaƒe xɔse nali ke, be wòakpɔ mia ta, eye wòakpɔ gome le ame tiatiawo katã ƒe domenyinu la me.
and now, I commend you, brethren, to God, and to the word of His grace, that is able to build up, and to give you an inheritance among all those sanctified.
33 Nyemebiã ŋu ɖe ame aɖeke ƒe klosalo alo sika alo awu ŋu o.
'The silver or gold or garments of no one did I covet;
34 Miawo ŋutɔ mienya ale si metsɔ nye asi wɔ dɔ hedi nye ŋutɔ kple nye kpeɖeŋutɔwo ƒe nuhiahiãwoe.
and ye yourselves know that to my necessities, and to those who were with me, minister did these hands;
35 Zi geɖe la, mefia ale si miakpe ɖe ame dahewo ŋuti la mi, elabena meɖo ŋku nya si míaƒe Aƒetɔ Yesu gblɔ dzi be, ‘Nunana hea yayra vɛ wu nuxɔxɔ.’”
all things I did shew you, that, thus labouring, it behoveth [us] to partake with the ailing, to be mindful also of the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.'
36 Esi Paulo wu eƒe nuƒoa nu la, edze klo hedo gbe ɖa kpli wo.
And these things having said, having bowed his knees, with them all, he did pray,
37 Le esia megbe la, wokpla asi kɔ nɛ hedo hedenyuie nɛ kple avi,
and there came a great weeping to all, and having fallen upon the neck of Paul, they were kissing him,
38 vevietɔ le esime wògblɔ na wo be womegale ye kpɔ ge akpɔ o la ta. Ale wokplɔe ɖo ɖa va se ɖe tɔdziʋu la me ke.
sorrowing most of all for the word that he had said — that they are about no more to see his face; and they were accompanying him to the ship.
