1 Esi Pentekoste ŋkekea ɖo la, nusrɔ̃lawo katã ƒo ƒu ɖe afi ɖeka.
And when the days of pentecost were fully come, while they were all assembled together,
2 Kasia gbe sesẽ aɖe si le abe ya sesẽ ƒe ƒoƒo ene la ɖi tso dziƒo, eye wòyɔ aƒe si me wonɔ la taŋtaŋ.
suddenly there was a sound from heaven, as of a violent wind; and the whole house where they were sitting was filled with it.
3 Enumake wokpɔ nane si ɖi dzo ƒe aɖewo la dze ɖe wo dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe ƒe tame,
And there appeared to them tongues, which were divided like flame; and they rested upon each of them.
4 Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la yɔ ame sia ame si le afi ma la me fũu, eye wode asi gbegbɔgblɔ bubu si womenya tsã o la gbɔgblɔ me abe ale si Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la na ŋutete wo ene.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in diverse languages, as the Spirit gave them to speak.
5 Le ɣe ma ɣi hã la, Yudatɔ mawuvɔ̃la geɖewo tso dukɔ vovovo siwo le dziƒo te la va Yerusalem be yewoaɖu ŋkeke tɔxɛ sia.
Now there were resident at Jerusalem persons who feared God, Jews from all the nations under heaven.
6 Esi wose ɣli si nɔ ɖiɖim le afi si nusrɔ̃lawo nɔ la, ame geɖewo fũu ɖe abla va teƒea. Ame siawo ƒe nu ku ŋutɔ, elabena ame sia ame see wonɔ eƒe degbe gblɔm.
And when that sound occurred, all the people collected together; and they were agitated, because they every one heard them speaking in their own languages.
7 Nu sia wɔ nuku na amedzroawo ale gbegbe be wogblɔ be, “Ame siawo katã ɖe, menye Galileatɔwo wonye oa?
And they were all astonished, and wondered, saying one to another: All these who speak behold, are they not Galileans?
8 Ke aleke wɔ míese wole ame sia ame degbe gblɔm mahã?
And how do we hear, each his own language, in which we were born?
9 Mía dometɔ aɖewo nye Patiatɔwo, ɖewo nye Midiatɔwo kple Elamtɔwo, bubuwo hã tso Mesopotamia, Yudea, Kapadokia, Ponto kple Asia nutowo me.
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and those dwelling between the rivers, Jews and Cappadocians, and those from the region of Pontus and of Asia,
10 Ame aɖewo gɔ̃ hã tso keke Frigia, Pamfilia, Egipte kple Libia si le Kirene gbɔ, kple ame siwo nye amedzrowo tso Roma.
and those from the region of Phrygia, and of Pamphylia, and of Egypt, and of the parts of Lybia near Cyrene, and those who have come from Rome, Jews and proselytes;
11 Ɛ̃, ame aɖewo tso Roma gɔ̃. Ame siawo nye Yudatɔwo kple ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o, gake wotrɔ dzime xɔ Yudatɔwo ƒe subɔsubɔ eye bubuwo hã nye Kretatɔwo kple Arabiatɔwo. Mía dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe se ame siawo le Mawu ƒe nukunu gãwo ƒe nya gblɔm le eya ŋutɔ degbe me!”
and those from Crete, and Arabians. Lo, we hear them speak in our own languages the wonders of God.
12 Ameha la ƒe nu ku eye woƒe mo wɔ yaa le nyadzɔdzɔ sia ta, eye wobia wo nɔewo be, “Nu sia gɔme ɖe?”
And they all wondered and were astonished, saying one to another: From whom is this thing?
13 Gake ame aɖewo ya nɔ ameha la dome nɔ fewu ɖum le apostoloawo ŋu be, “Ame siawo la, aha yeye womu.”
Others however ridiculed them, saying: They have drunken new wine, and are intoxicated.
14 Azɔ la, Petro kple Apostolo wuiɖekɛawo tsi tsitre, eye Petro kɔ gbe dzi ƒo nu na amehawo be, “Nɔvi, Yudatɔwo, kple Yerusalem nɔlawo siaa, mina maɖe nu sia me na mi; miɖo to nyuie miase nu si magblɔ.
And afterwards Simon Cephas rose up, with the eleven legates, and elevated his voice, and said to them: Men, Jews, and all ye that reside at Jerusalem; be this known to you, and hearken ye to my words.
15 Ame siawo memu aha abe ale si miesusui ene o. Elabena ŋdi ga asiekɛ koe ƒo.
For these are not intoxicated, as ye suppose: for lo, it is yet but the third hour.
16 Ke boŋ nu si teƒe kpɔm miele ŋdi sia la nye nu si Nyagblɔɖila Yoel gblɔ ɖi xoxoxo ƒe alafa nanewoe nye esi va yi be,
But this is what was spoken by Joel the prophet:
17 “‘Le ŋkeke mamlɛawo me la, Mawu gblɔ be makɔ nye Gbɔgbɔ ɖe amegbetɔƒomeawo katã dzi. Esia ana be mia viŋutsuwo kple mia vinyɔnuwo agblɔ nya ɖi. Hekpe ɖe esia ŋu la, mia viŋutsuwo akpɔ ŋutegawo, eye ame tsitsiwo hã aku drɔ̃ewo.
It shall be in the last days, saith God, that I will pour my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons shall prophesy, and your daughters and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Ɛ̃, matrɔ nye Gbɔgbɔ la akɔ ɖe nye subɔlawo katã dzi, ŋutsuwo kple nyɔnuwo siaa, matrɔ nye Gbɔgbɔ la akɔ ɖi le ŋkeke mawo me, ale be woagblɔ nya ɖi.
And upon: my servants and my handmaids will I pour my Spirit, in those days, and they shall prophesy.
19 Mana nukunuwo nadzɔ le dziŋgɔli me, eye dzesiwo adze le anyigba dzi siaa eye wòadze abe ʋu, dzo bibi kple dzudzɔ babla kɔtɔɔ ene.
And I will give signs in heaven, and prodigies on earth, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.
20 Ɣe ado viviti, eye ɣleti atrɔ zu ʋu hafi Aƒetɔ la ƒe ŋkeke gã si nye atsyɔ̃ŋkeke la naɖo.
And the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and fearful day of the Lord come.
21 Ke ame sia ame si yɔa Aƒetɔ la ƒe ŋkɔa la akpɔ ɖeɖe.’”
And it shall be, that whoever will call on the name of the Lord, shall live.
22 Petro yi edzi gblɔ be, “Nɔvi Israeltɔwo, miɖo to miase! Mawu wɔ nukunuwo, dzesiwo kple nu dzɔtsuwo le mia dome to Yesu Nazaretitɔ la dzi be yeatsɔ aɖo kpe edzii be Yesu nye ye Vi vavã. Nu siawo katã le nyanya me na mi pɛpɛpɛ.
Men, sons of Israel, hear ye these words: Jesus the Nazarean, a man made manifest among you by God, by those deeds of power and prodigies which God wrought among you by his hand, as ye yourselves know;
23 Azɔ, abe ale si Mawu ŋutɔ wɔ ɖoɖo da ɖi xoxo ene la, eɖe mɔ na mi, mieto nu madzɔmadzɔ wɔlawo ƒe asi dzi, klã Yesu ɖe atitsoga ŋu eye miewui.
him, being hereto appointed by the prescience and the good pleasure of God, ye have delivered into the hands of the wicked; and have crucified and slain.
24 Gake Mawu ŋutɔ gaɖe Yesu tso ku ƒe ŋɔdzi me, fɔe ɖe tsitre tso ame kukuwo dome, elabena ku ƒe ŋusẽ mate ŋu aɖu Yesu dzi o.
But God hath resuscitated him, and hath loosed the cords of the grave; because it could not be, that he should be held in the grave.
25 Fia David ƒo nu tso Yesu ŋu be, “‘Mekpɔ Aƒetɔ la le gbɔnye ɖaa, elabena ele nye nuɖusime, eya ta nyemavɔ̃ o.
For David said of him: I foresaw my Lord at all times; for he is on my right hand, so that I shall not be moved.
26 Esia ta nye dzi le dzidzɔ kpɔm, eye nye aɖe le aseye tsom be nye ŋutilã anɔ agbe le mɔkpɔkpɔ me.
Therefore my heart doth rejoice, and my glory exult, and also my body shall abide in hope.
27 Elabena wò Mawu, màgblẽ nye luʋɔ ɖe tsiẽƒe alo ana wò kɔkɔetɔ la ƒe ŋutilã nanyunyɔ o. (Hadēs )
For thou wilt not leave my soul in the grave, nor wilt thou give thy pious one to see corruption. (Hadēs )
28 Èna menya agbemɔwo, eye àtsɔ dzidzɔ ayɔ menye le ŋkuwò me.’”
Thou hast revealed to me the path of life; thou wilt fill me with joy with thy presence.
29 Petro yi edzi be, “Nɔviwo, mɔ li be magblɔ nya na mi kple dzideƒo le tɔgbui David la ŋuti, be eku, eye woɖii, eƒe yɔdo le mía dome va se ɖe egbe.
Men, brethren, I may speak to you explicitly of the patriarch David, that he died, and also was buried; and his sepulchre is with us to this day.
30 Ke enye nyagblɔɖila, eye enya be Mawu do ŋugbe matrɔmatrɔ da ɖi be David ƒe dzidzimevi ɖeka ava nɔ eƒe fiazikpui dzi aɖu fia.
For he was a prophet, and he knew, that God had sworn to him by an oath: Of the fruit of thy bowels, I will seat one on thy throne.
31 Gawu la, David kpɔ nu siwo ava dzɔ le ŋgɔgbea, eye wògblɔe ɖi le Kristo la ƒe tsitretsitsi tso ame kukuwo dome ŋu be eƒe luʋɔ matsi tsiẽƒe o, eye eƒe ŋutilã manyunyɔ o. (Hadēs )
And he foresaw, and spoke of the resurrection of Messiah, that he was not left in the grave, neither did his body see corruption. (Hadēs )
32 Mawu fɔ Yesu sia ɖe tsitre tso ku me, eye mí katã míenye ɖasefowo na tsitretsitsi sia.
This Jesus hath God resuscitated; and we all are his witnesses.
33 Ke fifia la, Mawu do eya amea ɖe dzi, hetsɔe ɖo eƒe nuɖusime abe ale si Fofo la ŋutɔ do ŋugbee ene la, ena ŋusẽe be wòaɖo Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la ɖe mía dome, eye eya ƒe dɔwɔnae nye nu siwo kpɔm miele kple nu siwo sem mìele fifia.
And he it is, who is exalted by the right hand of God, and hath received from the Father a promise respecting the Holy Spirit, and hath sent this gift which, lo, ye see and hear.
34 Elabena David meyi dziƒo o, gake egblɔ be, “‘Aƒetɔ la gblɔ na nye Aƒetɔ be: “Nɔ anyi ɖe nye nuɖusime
For David hath not ascended into heaven; because he himself said: The Lord said to my Lord, seat thyself at my right hand,
35 va se ɖe esime matsɔ wò ketɔwo awɔ wò afɔɖodzinu.”’
until I shall place thy enemies a footstool to thy feet.
36 “Eya ta mina ne Israel blibo la katã nanyae nyuie be Mawu wɔ Yesu sia, ame si miawo mieklã ɖe ati ŋu la, Aƒetɔ la kple Kristo la siaa.”
Therefore, let all the house of Israel know, assuredly, that God hath made that Jesus whom ye crucified, to be Lord and Messiah.
37 Esi wose nya siawo la, ewɔ dɔ ɖe wo dzi ale gbegbe be wo dometɔ aɖewo bia Petro kple apostolo bubuawo be, “Nɔviwo, nu ka wɔ ge míala?”
And when they heard these things, they were agitated in their heart; and they said to Simon and to the rest of the legates: Brethren, what shall we do?
38 Petro ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Mitrɔ dzi me ne woade mawutsi ta na mi le Yesu Kristo ƒe ŋkɔ me, be woatsɔ miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ake mi. Ekema miawo hã miaxɔ nunana sia, si nye Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la.
Simon said to them: Repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus, for the remission of sins; so that ye may receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 Ŋugbedodo la nye miawo ŋutɔwo, mia viwo, ame siwo le adzɔge kple ame siwo katã Aƒetɔ mía Mawu la yɔ la tɔ.”
For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all those afar off whom God will call.
40 Petro tsɔ nya bubu geɖewo xlɔ̃ nu ameha la, eye wòƒoe ɖe wo nu be, “Miɖe mia ɖokuiwo tso dzidzime vɔ̃ɖi sia me.”
And in many other words he testified to them, and entreated of them, saying: Live ye from this perverse generation.
41 Ame siwo xɔ Petro ƒe nyawo dzi se la, woanɔ abe akpe etɔ̃ ene, eye wode mawutsi ta na wo gbe ma gbe ke, eye wotsɔ wo kpe ɖe ha la ŋu.
And some of them readily received his discourse, and believed, and were baptized. And there were added, on that day, about three thousand souls.
42 Ame siawo kpena enuenu hena apostolowo ƒe nufiafia, habɔbɔ, Aƒetɔ ƒe nuɖuɖu kɔkɔe la ɖuɖu kple gbedodoɖa.
And they persevered in the doctrine of the legates; and were associated together in prayer, and in breaking the eucharist.
43 Wo dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe nɔ anyi le vɔvɔ̃ tɔxɛ me, eye apostoloawo hã wɔ nukunu kple dzesi geɖewo wokpɔ.
And fear was on every mind: and many signs and prodigies were wrought by the hand of the legates in Jerusalem.
44 Xɔsetɔwo katã nɔ teƒe ɖeka, wowɔ woƒe nuwo katã hamenui,
And all they who believed, were together; and whatever belonged to them, was of the community.
45 wotsɔ woƒe kesinɔnuwo kple nunɔamesiwo dzra, eye woma ga la na ame sia ame ɖe eƒe hiahiã nu.
And they who had a possession, sold it, and divided to each one as he had need.
46 Wokpea ta ɖe gbedoxɔ la me gbe sia gbe hesubɔa Mawu. Wodoa go le wo nɔewo ƒe aƒewo me hã heɖua Aƒetɔ la ƒe Nuɖuɖu Kɔkɔe la. Woɖua nu ɖekae le dzidzɔ kple dzimekɔkɔ me,
And they continued daily in the temple, with one soul: and at home, they broke bread and took food rejoicing, and in the simplicity of their heart.
47 eye wonɔa Mawu kafum ɖaa, hekpɔa amenuveve le amewo katã gbɔ. Ke Aƒetɔ la tsɔa ame siwo kpɔ xɔxɔ la kpena ɖe wo ŋuti gbe sia gbe.
And they praised God, and had favor with all the people. And our Lord added daily to the assembly those who became alive.
