When the report of this had gone abroad, the multitude came together; and they were perplexed, for each one heard them speak in his own language.

And how is it that we hear, every one in our own language in which we were born―

Cretes and Arabians―we hear them speaking, in our own tongues, the wonderful works of God?
12 Ameha la ƒe nu ku eye woƒe mo wɔ yaa le nyadzɔdzɔ sia ta, eye wobia wo nɔewo be, “Nu sia gɔme ɖe?”
And they were all in amazement and doubt, and said, one to another: What can this mean?

But others deriding, said: They are full of new wine.

For these men are not drunk, as you suppose: for it is the third hour of the day.

But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel:

And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
18 Ɛ̃, matrɔ nye Gbɔgbɔ la akɔ ɖe nye subɔlawo katã dzi, ŋutsuwo kple nyɔnuwo siaa, matrɔ nye Gbɔgbɔ la akɔ ɖi le ŋkeke mawo me, ale be woagblɔ nya ɖi.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and terrible day of the Lord comes.
21 Ke ame sia ame si yɔa Aƒetɔ la ƒe ŋkɔa la akpɔ ɖeɖe.’”
And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
22 Petro yi edzi gblɔ be, “Nɔvi Israeltɔwo, miɖo to miase! Mawu wɔ nukunuwo, dzesiwo kple nu dzɔtsuwo le mia dome to Yesu Nazaretitɔ la dzi be yeatsɔ aɖo kpe edzii be Yesu nye ye Vi vavã. Nu siawo katã le nyanya me na mi pɛpɛpɛ.
Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus the Nazarene, clearly pointed out to you as a man from God, by mighty deeds and wonders and signs, which God did by him in your midst, as you yourselves also know,

For David speaks with reference to him: I saw the Lord always in my presence: for he is at my right hand, that I should not be moved.
26 Esia ta nye dzi le dzidzɔ kpɔm, eye nye aɖe le aseye tsom be nye ŋutilã anɔ agbe le mɔkpɔkpɔ me.
Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue sang praise. Moreover, my flesh shall rest in hope;

Thou didst make known to me the ways of life; thou wilt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29 Petro yi edzi be, “Nɔviwo, mɔ li be magblɔ nya na mi kple dzideƒo le tɔgbui David la ŋuti, be eku, eye woɖii, eƒe yɔdo le mía dome va se ɖe egbe.
Brethren, I may say to you plainly of the patriarch David, that he died, and was buried, and his sepulcher is with us to this day.
30 Ke enye nyagblɔɖila, eye enya be Mawu do ŋugbe matrɔmatrɔ da ɖi be David ƒe dzidzimevi ɖeka ava nɔ eƒe fiazikpui dzi aɖu fia.
Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath, that he would cause one from the fruit of his loins to sit on his throne;

foreseeing this, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that his soul was not left in hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. (Hadēs g86)
32 Mawu fɔ Yesu sia ɖe tsitre tso ku me, eye mí katã míenye ɖasefowo na tsitretsitsi sia.
This Jesus has God raised up, of which we all are witnesses.

Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from his Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this, which you now see and hear.
34 Elabena David meyi dziƒo o, gake egblɔ be, “‘Aƒetɔ la gblɔ na nye Aƒetɔ be: “Nɔ anyi ɖe nye nuɖusime

till I make thy enemies thy footstool.
36 “Eya ta mina ne Israel blibo la katã nanyae nyuie be Mawu wɔ Yesu sia, ame si miawo mieklã ɖe ati ŋu la, Aƒetɔ la kple Kristo la siaa.”
Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made this same Jesus whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Esi wose nya siawo la, ewɔ dɔ ɖe wo dzi ale gbegbe be wo dometɔ aɖewo bia Petro kple apostolo bubuawo be, “Nɔviwo, nu ka wɔ ge míala?”
When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the other apostles: Brethren, what shall we do?
38 Petro ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Mitrɔ dzi me ne woade mawutsi ta na mi le Yesu Kristo ƒe ŋkɔ me, be woatsɔ miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ake mi. Ekema miawo hã miaxɔ nunana sia, si nye Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la.
And Peter said to them: Repent, and be immersed, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, in order to the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 Ŋugbedodo la nye miawo ŋutɔwo, mia viwo, ame siwo le adzɔge kple ame siwo katã Aƒetɔ mía Mawu la yɔ la tɔ.”
For the promise is to you, and your children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 Petro tsɔ nya bubu geɖewo xlɔ̃ nu ameha la, eye wòƒoe ɖe wo nu be, “Miɖe mia ɖokuiwo tso dzidzime vɔ̃ɖi sia me.”
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying: Save yourselves from this wicked generation.
41 Ame siwo xɔ Petro ƒe nyawo dzi se la, woanɔ abe akpe etɔ̃ ene, eye wode mawutsi ta na wo gbe ma gbe ke, eye wotsɔ wo kpe ɖe ha la ŋu.
Then they that gladly received his word were immersed, and on that day there were added to them about three thousand souls.
42 Ame siawo kpena enuenu hena apostolowo ƒe nufiafia, habɔbɔ, Aƒetɔ ƒe nuɖuɖu kɔkɔe la ɖuɖu kple gbedodoɖa.
And they attended constantly to the teaching of the apostles, and the fellowship, and the breaking of bread, and the prayers.
43 Wo dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe nɔ anyi le vɔvɔ̃ tɔxɛ me, eye apostoloawo hã wɔ nukunu kple dzesi geɖewo wokpɔ.
And fear came on every soul; and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 Xɔsetɔwo katã nɔ teƒe ɖeka, wowɔ woƒe nuwo katã hamenui,
And all that believed were together, and had all things in common;

And with one consent, they continued daily in the temple; and, breaking bread from house to house, they partook of their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

praising God, and being in favor with all the people. And the Lord added the saved daily to the Church.
