Now in the church that was at Antioch there were some prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 Gbe ɖeka la, esi ame siawo nɔ Aƒetɔ la subɔm, nɔ nu tsim nɔ dɔdɔm la, Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la gblɔ na wo be, “Mitia Barnabas kple Saulo be woaɖawɔ dɔ tɔxɛ si ta meyɔ wo ɖo la nam.”
As they served the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Separate Barnabas and Saul for me, for the work to which I have called them."

Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia. From there they sailed to Cyprus.

When they were at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. They had also John as their attendant.
6 Le esia megbe la, wogblɔ mawunya le du geɖewo me tso teƒe yi teƒe le Kipro ƒukpo blibo la dzi va se ɖe esi wova ɖo du si woyɔna be Pafo la me. Le afi sia wokpɔ Yudatɔ aɖe si woyɔna be Bar Yesu. Ame sia nye afakala kple aʋatsonyagbɔɖila.
When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they found a certain man, a magician, a Jewish false prophet whose name was Bar-Jesus,

But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn aside the proconsul from the faith.
9 Ke Saulo, ame si wogayɔna be Paulo, si me Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe yɔ fũu la li ŋku ɖe Elima dzi gãa kple dziku, eye wòblu ɖe eta be,
But Saul, who is also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fastened his eyes on him,
10 “Wò Abosam ƒe vi, ame vɔ̃ɖi, wò ameflula si léa fu nu nyui ɖe sia ɖe, ɣe ka ɣie nàdzudzɔ tsitretsitsi ɖe Aƒetɔ la ƒe mɔ dzɔdzɔe la ŋu?

11 Azɔ Mawu ahe to na wò, eya ta wò ŋkuwo agbã, ale be màgate ŋu akpɔ ɣe ƒe keklẽ o hena ɣeyiɣi aɖe.” Enumake Elima ƒe ŋku dzi tsyɔ̃ eye wòde asi asitsatsa le yame me henɔ kuku ɖem be ame aɖe nalé yeƒe alɔnu afia mɔ ye.
Now, look, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind, unable to see the sun for a time." Immediately a mist and darkness fell on him. He went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.
12 Esi mɔmefia la kpɔ nu si dzɔ la, exɔe se, elabena eƒe nu ku le nufiafia si wòse tso Aƒetɔ la ŋu ta.
Then the proconsul, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.

But they, passing on from Perga, came to Antioch of Pisidia. They went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down.

After the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, "Brothers, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, speak."

The God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they stayed as foreigners in the land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm, he led them out of it.

Afterward they asked for a king, and God gave to them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.

When he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, to whom he also testified, 'I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all my will.'
From this man's offspring, according to his promise, God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus,

As John was fulfilling his course, he said, 'What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. But look, one comes after me the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.'
26 “Nɔvinyewo, mi Abraham ƒe dzidzimeviwo kple mi ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o siwo vɔ̃a Mawu sia la, medi be mianya be míawoe woɖo ɖeɖe ƒe gbedeasi sia ɖo.”
Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to us.
27 Ame siwo le Yerusalem kple woƒe dumegãwo, esi womedze si ame sia kple nyagblɔɖilawo ƒe nya siwo woxlẽna le Dzudzɔgbe sia Dzudzɔgbe dzi o la, wowu wo nu to woƒe ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ me.
For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know him, nor the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him.
28 Le nyateƒe me la, womekpɔ vodada aɖeke le eŋu be wòadze na ku o, gake wobia tso Pilato si be wòatso kufia nɛ kokoko.
Though they found no cause for death, they still asked Pilate to have him killed.

When they had fulfilled all things that were written about him, they took him down from the tree, and placed him in a tomb.
30 “Ke nɔvinyewo, Mawu gagbɔ agbee tso ku me,
But God raised him from the dead,

and he was seen for many days by those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people.

that God has fulfilled for us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second psalm, 'You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.'
"Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus: 'I will give to you the faithful sacred things of David.'
Therefore he says also in another psalm, 'You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.'
For David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, and was placed with his fathers, and saw decay.
37 Nya siawo ku ɖe ame bubu aɖe si Mawu gbɔ agbee tso ku me, eye ku mekpɔ ŋusẽ aɖeke ɖe edzi o la boŋ ŋu.”
But he whom God raised up saw no decay.
38 Paulo yi eƒe nuƒoa dzi gblɔ na wo be, “Nɔvinyewo, miɖo to miase nya sia ɖa. Yesu sia tae woatsɔ miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ake mi.
Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you forgiveness of sins,
39 Ame sia ame si xɔ edzi se la, woaɖee tso nu vɔ̃ ƒe kɔkuti me, eye wòazu ame dzɔdzɔe. Nu sia nye nu gã aɖe si Mose ƒe sewo mete ŋu wɔ na ame aɖeke o.
and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the Law of Moses.
40 Mikpɔ nyuie, be nya siwo nyagblɔɖilawo gblɔ la nagaɖi mia ŋu o.
So beware, lest what is said in the Prophets should come about:
41 Wogblɔe be, “‘Mi ame siwo doa vlo nyateƒe la, mike ŋku ɖi miakpɔ nu ʋuu va se ɖe esime miatsrɔ̃. Mele nane wɔ ge le wò ŋkekewo me esi ne wogblɔe na wò la màxɔe ase o.’”
'Look, you scoffers, and be amazed, and perish; for I am working a work in your days, a work which you will not believe, if one tells it to you.'"
42 Gbe ma gbe la, Paulo kple Barnabas nɔ go dom le ƒuƒoƒea la, ameawo gblɔ na Paulo be eƒe nyawo vivi yewo nu ŋutɔ, eya ta wòagatrɔ ava ƒo nu na yewo le Dzudzɔgbe si agava la dzi.
So when they went out they urged them to speak about these things on the next Sabbath.
Now when the synagogue broke up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.
The next Sabbath almost the whole city was gathered together to hear the word of the Lord.
45 Amehawo ƒe agbɔsɔsɔ alea do ŋɔdzi na Yudatɔwo ale woʋã ŋu Paulo kple Barnabas, eya ta wogblɔ busunyawo, eye wotsi tsitre ɖe nya sia nya si Paulo gblɔ la ŋu vevie.
But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and contradicted the things which were spoken by Paul, and reviled him.
46 Ke Paulo kple Barnabas wogblɔ kple dzideƒo na wo be, “Edze be woagblɔ Mawu ƒe nya na mi Yudatɔwo gbã, gake esi mieɖi gbɔ̃ nyanyui la, eye miebu mia ɖokui be yewomedze na agbe mavɔ la o la, fifia míatsɔe ayi na ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o boŋ. (aiōnios g166)
Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, "It was necessary that God's word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, look, we turn to the non-Jewish people. (aiōnios g166)
47 Esia nye se si Aƒetɔ la de na mí be, “‘Mewɔ wò be nànye kekeli na ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o, eye nàkplɔ wo tso xexea me ƒe dzogoewo katã dzi ava be woakpɔ ɖeɖe le gbɔnye.’”
For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, 'I have set you as a light to the nations, that you may bring salvation to the farthest part of the earth.'"
48 Paulo ƒe nya sia do dzidzɔ na ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o, eye wokafu Mawu. Wo dometɔ siwo Mawu ŋutɔ tia da ɖi na agbe mavɔ la xɔe se. (aiōnios g166)
As the non-Jewish people heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord. As many as were appointed to everlasting life believed. (aiōnios g166)
49 Ale wɔ Aƒetɔ la ƒe nya la keke ta le nuto ma katã me.
The Lord's word was spread abroad throughout all the region.
50 Dɔ me ve Yudatɔwo ƒe dumegãwo ale gbegbe be wode ʋunyaʋunya dua me nyɔnu ŋkuta siwo vɔ̃a Mawu kple dumegãwo me, ale be tɔtɔ gã aɖe va, eye to esia me la, wonya Paulo kple Barnabas do goe le dua me.
But the Jews stirred up the devout women of prominence and the chief men of the city, and stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out of their borders.
51 Ke woawo hã ʋuʋu woƒe afɔkewo ɖe anyi abe dzidzɔmakpɔmakpɔ ƒe dzesi ene, eye woyi woƒe mɔzɔzɔ la dzi ɖo ta Ikonio.
But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came to Iconium.
52 Ke dzidzɔ blibo yɔ ame siwo trɔ zu xɔsetɔwo la me, eye Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la hã yɔ wo me fũu.
The disciples were filled with joy with the Holy Spirit.
