< Dɔwɔwɔwo 13 >
1 Nyagblɔɖila kple nufiala aɖewo nɔ Antioxia Hame la me ɣe ma ɣi, eye wo dometɔ aɖewoe nye Barnabas kple Simeon si wogayɔna be Niga, Lukio tso Kirene, Manain (si nye Fia Herodes nɔvi) kple Saulo.
Now, there were in the congregation that was at Antioch, certain prophets and teachers; particularly, Barnabas, and Simeon, who was called Niger, and Lucius, the Cyrenian, and Manaen, who was educated with Herod, the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 Gbe ɖeka la, esi ame siawo nɔ Aƒetɔ la subɔm, nɔ nu tsim nɔ dɔdɔm la, Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la gblɔ na wo be, “Mitia Barnabas kple Saulo be woaɖawɔ dɔ tɔxɛ si ta meyɔ wo ɖo la nam.”
And as they were ministering to the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Separate to me Barnabas and Saul, for the work to which I have called them.
3 Wogayi edzi wɔ nutsitsidɔ hedo gbe ɖa ɣeyiɣi aɖe, eye le esia megbe la, woda asi ɖe Barnabas kple Saulo dzi, do gbe ɖa ɖe wo ta, eye wodo mɔ wo be woayi.
And having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them; they dismissed them.
4 Le Kipro la, Saulo kple Barnabas wodze mɔ le Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la ƒe kpɔkplɔ te heyi ɖe Seleukia. Le afi sia la, woɖo tɔdziʋu heyi ɖe Kipro. Wokplɔ Marko Yohanes hã ɖe asi abe woƒe kpeɖeŋutɔ ene.
They, therefore, being sent by the Holy Spirit, departed to Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus;
5 Esi wova ɖo du si woyɔna be Salamis me la, woyi ɖe Yudatɔwo ƒe ƒuƒoƒe, eye wogblɔ mawunya le afi ma. Yohanes nɔ wo ŋu abe kpekpeɖeŋunala ene.
and being arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews; and they had also John for their attendant.
6 Le esia megbe la, wogblɔ mawunya le du geɖewo me tso teƒe yi teƒe le Kipro ƒukpo blibo la dzi va se ɖe esi wova ɖo du si woyɔna be Pafo la me. Le afi sia wokpɔ Yudatɔ aɖe si woyɔna be Bar Yesu. Ame sia nye afakala kple aʋatsonyagbɔɖila.
And having traversed the island, as far as Paphos, they found a certain Jew, a magician and false prophet, whose name was Barjesus;
7 Ame sia nye dɔtsɔla na mɔmefia si le afi ma si woyɔna be Sergio Paulo. Mɔmefia la nye ame si ƒe tagbɔ kɔ, eye wòdɔ woyi ɖayɔ Barnabas kple Saulo, elabena edi be yease Mawu ƒe nya.
who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who calling for Barnabas and Saul desired to hear the word of God.
8 Esi wonɔ nya la gblɔm nɛ la, afakala Elima (elabena nenemae nye eƒe ŋkɔ le Grikigbe me) tsi tsitre ɖe wo ŋu, eye wòte kpɔ be yeagblẽ to na mɔmefia la be megaxɔ Mawu dzi se o.
But Elymas, the magician, (for that was his name, when translated, ) withstood them, endeavoring to turn away the proconsul from the faith.
9 Ke Saulo, ame si wogayɔna be Paulo, si me Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe yɔ fũu la li ŋku ɖe Elima dzi gãa kple dziku, eye wòblu ɖe eta be,
Then Saul, (who is also called Paul, ) being filled with the Holy Spirit, and looking steadfastly upon him,
10 “Wò Abosam ƒe vi, ame vɔ̃ɖi, wò ameflula si léa fu nu nyui ɖe sia ɖe, ɣe ka ɣie nàdzudzɔ tsitretsitsi ɖe Aƒetɔ la ƒe mɔ dzɔdzɔe la ŋu?
said, O! full of all deceit, and of all wickedness! child of the devil! enemy of all righteousness! will you not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11 Azɔ Mawu ahe to na wò, eya ta wò ŋkuwo agbã, ale be màgate ŋu akpɔ ɣe ƒe keklẽ o hena ɣeyiɣi aɖe.” Enumake Elima ƒe ŋku dzi tsyɔ̃ eye wòde asi asitsatsa le yame me henɔ kuku ɖem be ame aɖe nalé yeƒe alɔnu afia mɔ ye.
And, behold, now the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, and not see the sun for a time. And, immediately, a mist and darkness fell upon him; and going about, he sought some to lead him by the hand.
12 Esi mɔmefia la kpɔ nu si dzɔ la, exɔe se, elabena eƒe nu ku le nufiafia si wòse tso Aƒetɔ la ŋu ta.
Then the proconsul, seeing what was done, believed; being struck with the doctrine of the Lord.
And loosing from Paphos, they who were with Paul, came to Perga, in Pamphylia; but John withdrew himself from them, and returned to Jerusalem.
Nevertheless, they, going on from Perga, came to Antioch, in Pisidia: and entering into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, they sat down.
And after the reading of the law and the prophets; the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, Brethren, if you have any word of exhortation to the people, speak it.
16 Paulo tsi tsitre heɖo asi wo dzi, eye wògblɔ na wo be, “Israel ŋutsuwo kple ame sia ame si le afi sia si vɔ̃a Mawu la, miɖo tom!
Then Paul stood up, and waiving his hand, said, Men of Israel, and you that fear God, hearken.
17 “Israel dukɔ sia ƒe Mawu tia míaƒe dukɔ sia, eye wòde bubu eŋu. Eɖee tso kluvinyenye me le Egiptenyigba dzi bubutɔe.
The God of this people chose our fathers, and raised the people while sojourning in the land of Egypt; and led them out of it with an uplifted arm.
18 Ekpɔ wo dzi, kplɔ wo ɖɔɖɔɖɔ le gbedzi ƒe blaene sɔŋ.
And for a space of about forty years, he endured their behavior in the wilderness.
And having cast out seven nations in the land of Canaan, he distributed their country to them for an inheritance.
20 Nu siawo yi edzi anɔ abe ƒe alafa ene blaetɔ̃.
And after these transactions, which lasted about four hundred and fifty years' he gave them judges, till Samuel the prophet.
Saulo tso Benyamin ƒomea me, eye wòɖu fia ƒe blaene.
And, from that time, they desired a king: and God gave them Saul, the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for the term of forty years.
And, having removed him, he raised up to them David, for a king; whom also he extolled, and said, "I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man according to my own heart, who shall do all my will."
Of this man's seed, according to the promise, God raised up to Israel, Jesus, the Saviour;
24 Paulo yi eƒe nuƒoa dzi be, “Hafi Yesu sia nava la, ame aɖe va do ŋgɔ nɛ si nye Yohanes Mawutsidetanamela. Ame sia gblɔ mawunya be ehiã be Israelviwo katã nadzudzɔ nu vɔ̃ wɔwɔ, eye woatrɔ ɖe Mawu ŋu.
John having, to introduce his appearance, before he preached the immersion of reformation to all the people of Israel.
25 Esi Yohanes nɔ eƒe dɔ nu wum la, ebia amewo be, ‘Ɖe miebu be nyee nye Kristo la mahã? Kpao menye nyee o. Ame si gbɔna la tri akɔ wum. Nyemedze ne matu eƒe afɔkpaka gɔ̃ hã o.’
And when John was fulfilling his course, he said, Whom do you imagine me to be? I am not He; but behold, there comes one after me, the shoes of whose feet I am not worthy to loose.
26 “Nɔvinyewo, mi Abraham ƒe dzidzimeviwo kple mi ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o siwo vɔ̃a Mawu sia la, medi be mianya be míawoe woɖo ɖeɖe ƒe gbedeasi sia ɖo.”
Brethren, children of the family of Abraham, and those among you that fear God; to you is the word of this salvation sent:
27 Ame siwo le Yerusalem kple woƒe dumegãwo, esi womedze si ame sia kple nyagblɔɖilawo ƒe nya siwo woxlẽna le Dzudzɔgbe sia Dzudzɔgbe dzi o la, wowu wo nu to woƒe ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ me.
for the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and their rulers, not knowing him, nor the sayings of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath day; have fulfilled them in condemning him.
28 Le nyateƒe me la, womekpɔ vodada aɖeke le eŋu be wòadze na ku o, gake wobia tso Pilato si be wòatso kufia nɛ kokoko.
And though they could find no cause of death in him; yet they requested Pilate that he might be executed.
29 Esi nu sia nu va eme pɛpɛpɛ abe ale si woŋlɔe da ɖi le eƒe ku ŋu ene la, woɖe eƒe kukua le atitsoga ŋu heɖii ɖe yɔdo me.
And when they had accomplished all things that were written concerning him; taking him down from the cross, they laid him in a tomb.
30 “Ke nɔvinyewo, Mawu gagbɔ agbee tso ku me,
But God raised him up from the dead:
31 eye wòɖe eɖokui fia ame siwo nɔ eŋu tso Yerusalem yi Galilea la zi geɖe. Ame siawo ɖi ɖase le eƒe tsitretsitsi ŋu ɖaa le dutoƒo le teƒe geɖewo.
and he appeared for several days to those that came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people.
And we bring you good tidings, that the very promise which was made to the fathers,
33 ŋugbedodo sia va eme na mí, wo viwo esi wòfɔ Yesu ɖe tsitre tso ame kukuwo dome abe ale si woŋlɔe ɖe Psalmo evelia mee ene be, “‘Wòe nye vinye ŋutsu, egbe mezu fofowò.’
God has accomplished to us, their children, in raising up Jesus: as it is also written in the second Psalm, "Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee."
And because he has raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus, "I will give you the sure mercies of David."
Wherefore, also, in another place he says, "Thou wilt not permit thy Holy One to see corruption."
Now David, having served his own generation according to the will of God; fell asleep, and was gathered to his fathers, and saw corruption.
37 Nya siawo ku ɖe ame bubu aɖe si Mawu gbɔ agbee tso ku me, eye ku mekpɔ ŋusẽ aɖeke ɖe edzi o la boŋ ŋu.”
But he whom God raised up, did not see corruption.
38 Paulo yi eƒe nuƒoa dzi gblɔ na wo be, “Nɔvinyewo, miɖo to miase nya sia ɖa. Yesu sia tae woatsɔ miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ake mi.
Be it known, therefore, to you, brethren, that by Him remission of sins is proclaimed to you:
39 Ame sia ame si xɔ edzi se la, woaɖee tso nu vɔ̃ ƒe kɔkuti me, eye wòazu ame dzɔdzɔe. Nu sia nye nu gã aɖe si Mose ƒe sewo mete ŋu wɔ na ame aɖeke o.
and by Him, every one that believes is justified from all things; from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40 Mikpɔ nyuie, be nya siwo nyagblɔɖilawo gblɔ la nagaɖi mia ŋu o.
See to it, therefore, that what is spoken in the prophets may not come upon you:
41 Wogblɔe be, “‘Mi ame siwo doa vlo nyateƒe la, mike ŋku ɖi miakpɔ nu ʋuu va se ɖe esime miatsrɔ̃. Mele nane wɔ ge le wò ŋkekewo me esi ne wogblɔe na wò la màxɔe ase o.’”
"Behold, you despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I perform a work in your days; a work which you will not believe, though one should distinctly declare it to you."
42 Gbe ma gbe la, Paulo kple Barnabas nɔ go dom le ƒuƒoƒea la, ameawo gblɔ na Paulo be eƒe nyawo vivi yewo nu ŋutɔ, eya ta wòagatrɔ ava ƒo nu na yewo le Dzudzɔgbe si agava la dzi.
Now, when going out, they requested that these words might be spoken to them, on the following Sabbath.
And when the synagogue was broke up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, persuaded them to persevere in the favor of God.
And, on the following Sabbath, almost the whole city was gathered together, to hear the word of God.
45 Amehawo ƒe agbɔsɔsɔ alea do ŋɔdzi na Yudatɔwo ale woʋã ŋu Paulo kple Barnabas, eya ta wogblɔ busunyawo, eye wotsi tsitre ɖe nya sia nya si Paulo gblɔ la ŋu vevie.
But the Jews, seeing the multitudes, were filled with zeal; and opposed the things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and reviling.
46 Ke Paulo kple Barnabas wogblɔ kple dzideƒo na wo be, “Edze be woagblɔ Mawu ƒe nya na mi Yudatɔwo gbã, gake esi mieɖi gbɔ̃ nyanyui la, eye miebu mia ɖokui be yewomedze na agbe mavɔ la o la, fifia míatsɔe ayi na ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o boŋ. (aiōnios )
Then Paul and Barnabas, with great freedom of speech, said, It was necessary, that the word of God should first be spoken to you; but since you thrust it away from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life; behold, we turn to the Gentiles. (aiōnios )
47 Esia nye se si Aƒetɔ la de na mí be, “‘Mewɔ wò be nànye kekeli na ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o, eye nàkplɔ wo tso xexea me ƒe dzogoewo katã dzi ava be woakpɔ ɖeɖe le gbɔnye.’”
For so the Lord has charged us, saying, "I have set you for a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth."
48 Paulo ƒe nya sia do dzidzɔ na ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o, eye wokafu Mawu. Wo dometɔ siwo Mawu ŋutɔ tia da ɖi na agbe mavɔ la xɔe se. (aiōnios )
And the Gentiles hearing this, rejoiced, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were disposed for eternal life, believed. (aiōnios )
49 Ale wɔ Aƒetɔ la ƒe nya la keke ta le nuto ma katã me.
And the word of the Lord was published throughout all that region.
50 Dɔ me ve Yudatɔwo ƒe dumegãwo ale gbegbe be wode ʋunyaʋunya dua me nyɔnu ŋkuta siwo vɔ̃a Mawu kple dumegãwo me, ale be tɔtɔ gã aɖe va, eye to esia me la, wonya Paulo kple Barnabas do goe le dua me.
But the Jews stirred up some devout women of considerable rank, and the magistrates of the city; and raised a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their territories.
51 Ke woawo hã ʋuʋu woƒe afɔkewo ɖe anyi abe dzidzɔmakpɔmakpɔ ƒe dzesi ene, eye woyi woƒe mɔzɔzɔ la dzi ɖo ta Ikonio.
And they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came to Iconium.
52 Ke dzidzɔ blibo yɔ ame siwo trɔ zu xɔsetɔwo la me, eye Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la hã yɔ wo me fũu.
But the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Spirit.
