< Dɔwɔwɔwo 11 >
And the apostles and brothers that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
2 Ke esi Petro trɔ va ɖo Yerusalem la, xɔsetɔ siwo tso aʋa la he nya ɖe eŋu vevie.
And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,
3 Wogblɔ be, “Wò la, eɖade ha kple ame siwo metso aʋa o, eye mi kple wo miede asi agba ɖeka me ɖu nu gɔ̃!”
Saying, You went in to men uncircumcised, and did eat with them.
4 Esia na be Petro gblɔ ale si nyawo katã va dzɔe la na wo.
But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order to them, saying,
5 Egblɔ na wo be, “Gbe ɖeka la, esime menɔ gbe dom ɖa le Yopa la, mekpɔ ŋutega aɖe. Nu si tututu mekpɔ lae nye be aklala gã aɖe si wotsi ka ɖe eƒe dzogoe eneawo dzi la ɖiɖi ɖe gbɔnye tso dziƒo.
I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
6 Esi melé ŋku ɖe aklala la dzi la, mekpɔ anyigbadzilã afɔenewo, lã wɔadãwo kple lã tatawo kple dziƒoxeviwo le afi ma.
On the which when I had fastened my eyes, I considered, and saw four footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
7 Mese gbe aɖe wònɔ gbɔgblɔm nam be, ‘Petro, tsi tsitre. Wu lã siawo ne nàɖu.’
And I heard a voice saying to me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
8 “Ke meɖo eŋu be, ‘Kpao, Aƒetɔ, nyemate ŋu awɔ esia o. Nyemeɖu lã makɔmakɔ siawo dometɔ aɖeke kpɔ o.’
But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean has at any time entered into my mouth.
9 “Ke megase gbeɖiɖi la tso dziƒo wògblɔ nam be, ‘Ne Mawu da asi ɖe nane dzi be ekɔ la, wò la, mègagblɔ be mekɔ o!’
But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God has cleansed, that call not you common.
And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.
11 Le ɣe ma ɣi me tututu la, ame dɔdɔ etɔ̃ aɖewo tso Kaesarea va ɖo aƒe si me menɔ la me be yewoakplɔm ayi Kaesarea.
And, behold, immediately there were three men already come to the house where I was, sent from Caesarea to me.
12 Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la de dzi ƒo nam be magaxa nu be womenye Yudatɔwo o, ke boŋ mayi kpli wo, eya ta nye kple nɔvinye ade siwo le afi sia la míedze mɔ heyi. Eteƒe medidi o la, míeva ɖo ame si dɔ ame ɖo ɖem la ƒe aƒe me le Kaesarea.
And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brothers accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:
13 Ŋutsu sia gblɔ ale si mawudɔla aɖe ɖe eɖokui fiae eye wògblɔ na ye be, ‘Dɔ ame ɖo ɖe Yopa ne woayɔ Simɔn si wogayɔna hã be Petro la vɛ na wò.
And he showed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said to him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;
14 Atsɔ gbedeasi aɖe vɛ na wò si ana be wò kple wò aƒe siaa miakpɔ ɖeɖe.’
Who shall tell you words, whereby you and all your house shall be saved.
And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
16 Esi nu sia dzɔ alea ko la, Aƒetɔ ƒe nya si wògblɔ be, ‘Yohanes, de mawutsi ta na amewo kple tsi, ke miawo la, woade mawutsi ta na mi kple Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la’ va ta me nam enumake.
Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
17 Azɔ esi wònye Mawu ŋutɔe na nunana sia ame siawo abe ale si wòna míawo hã be míaxɔ Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo dzi se ene ta la, ame kae menye be mahe nya kple Mawu?”
For as much then as God gave them the like gift as he did to us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
18 Esi wose Petro ƒe nya siawo la, woƒe nu ku, eye wokafu Mawu gblɔ be, “Ekema Mawu na mɔnukpɔkpɔ ame siwo menye Yudatɔwo o la hã be woatrɔ dzi me akpɔ agbe.”
When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then has God also to the Gentiles granted repentance to life.
Now they which were scattered abroad on the persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but to the Jews only.
20 Gake xɔsetɔ siwo tso Kipro kple Kirene heyi Antioxia la dometɔ aɖewo ƒo nu na Helatɔ aɖewo hã tso Aƒetɔ Yesu ƒe nyanyui la ŋu.
And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spoke to the Grecians, preaching the LORD Jesus.
And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned to the Lord.
Then tidings of these things came to the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
Egado ŋusẽ xɔsetɔawo be woayi edzi alé ɖe Mawu ŋu goŋgoŋgoŋ nenye be nya sia nya le dzɔdzɔm hã.
Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would hold to the Lord.
24 Barnabas nye ŋutsu dɔmenyotɔ aɖe si me Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la yɔ fũu eye eƒe xɔse hã li ke sesĩe. To ame sia ƒe dɔwɔwɔ me la, ame geɖewo trɔ zu Aƒetɔ la tɔ.
For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added to the Lord.
25 Tso Antioxia la, Barnabas ti Saulo ƒe mɔ yi Tarso.
Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:
26 Esi wòke ɖe eŋu la ekplɔe, eye wo ame eve la trɔ va Antioxia henɔ afi ma ƒe ɖeka sɔŋ, nɔ nu fiam xɔsetɔwo. Antioxiae wona ŋkɔ xɔsetɔwo le zi gbãtɔ be, “Kristotɔwo.”
And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem to Antioch.
28 Gbe ɖeka la, wo dometɔ ɖeka si woyɔna be Agabu la gblɔ nya ɖi tso Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la ƒe ŋusẽ me be dɔ gã aɖe gbɔna toto ge le xexea me katã. (Nya sia va eme le Fia Klaudio ƒe dziɖuɣi.)
And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
29 Le esia ta xɔsetɔwo ɖo be yewoadzɔ nu, aɖo ɖe yewo nɔvi Kristotɔ siwo le Yudea eye ame sia ame nadzɔ nu abe ale si wòate ŋui ene.
Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brothers which dwelled in Judaea:
30 Wowɔ esia, eye wotsɔ woƒe nunanawo de Barnabas kple Saulo si be woatsɔ ayi na hanunɔlawo le Yerusalem.
Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
