< Timoteo 2 1 >

1 Nye, Paulo, Yesu Kristo ƒe apostolo, ame si Mawu ɖo ɖa be wòaɖe gbeƒã agbe mavɔ si ŋugbe wòdo to Yesu Kristo dzixɔse me na amewo katã la gbɔe agbalẽ sia tso,
Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ by the purpose of God, in the hope of the life which is in Christ Jesus,
2 Na Timoteo, vinye lɔlɔ̃a. Mawu, Fofo la kple Yesu Kristo, míaƒe Aƒetɔ nana eƒe amenuveve, nublanuikpɔkpɔ kple ŋutifafa wò.
To Timothy, my well-loved child: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Meɖea kuku na Mawu zi geɖe le zã kple keli be wòakɔ yayra geɖewo ɖe dziwò, eye nye dzitsinyae nye be madze eŋu le agbe sia me.
I give praise to God, whose servant I have been, with a heart free from sin, from the time of my fathers, because in my prayers at all times the thought of you is with me, night and day
4 Mele didim vevie be magakpɔ wò. Dzi adzɔm ŋutɔ, elabena meɖoa ŋku ale si nèfa avi vevie esime míenɔ kaklãm ɖa tso mía nɔewo gbɔ la dzi.
Desiring to see you, keeping in my memory your weeping, so that I may be full of joy;
Meka ɖe edzi be ègale ŋu ɖom ɖe Aƒetɔ la ŋu kokoko abe tsã ene.
Having in mind your true faith, which first was in your mother's mother Lois, and in your mother Eunice, and, I am certain, is now in you.
6 Le esia ta mele ŋku ɖom edzi na wò be nàde dzo Mawu ƒe nunana si ge ɖe mewò to nye asidada ɖe dziwò me la me,
For this reason I say to you, Let that grace of God which is in you, given to you by my hands, have living power.
7 elabena Mawu mena vɔvɔ̃gbɔgbɔ mi o, ke boŋ ŋusẽ kple lɔlɔ̃ kple ɖokuidziɖuɖu ƒe gbɔgbɔ wòna mi.
For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of self-control.
Have no feeling of shame, then, for the witness of our Lord or for me, his prisoner: but undergo all things for the good news in the measure of the power of God;
9 Eyae ɖe mí, eye wotia mí na eƒe dɔ kɔkɔe la wɔwɔ, menye be míedze nɛ ta o, ke boŋ elabena eyae nye eƒe ɖoɖo xoxoxo hafi wòwɔ xexea me be yeaɖe yeƒe lɔlɔ̃ kple amenuveve afia mí to Kristo Yesu dzi. (aiōnios g166)
Who gave us salvation, marking us out for his purpose, not on account of our works, but in the measure of his purpose and his grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal, (aiōnios g166)
10 Ke azɔ la, ena nu siawo katã me kɔ na mí to mía Ɖela Yesu Kristo ƒe vava me. Kristo Yesu ɖu ku ƒe ŋusẽ dzi, eye wòfia agbe mavɔ la ƒe mɔ mí to nyanyui la me.
But has now been made clear by the revelation of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who put an end to death and made life unending come to light through the good news,
11 Eye wòtiam be manye nyanyui sia ƒe gbeƒãɖela, apostolo kple nufiala.
Of which I was made a preacher and an Apostle and a teacher;
12 Eya tae mele fu kpem le afi sia le gaxɔ me ɖo. Nu sia menye ŋukpe nam kura o, elabena menya ame si ŋu meɖo ŋu ɖo, eye meka ɖe edzi be ate ŋu adzɔ nu siwo katã metsɔ de asi nɛ la ŋu dedie va se ɖe gbe si gbe wòagava.
And for which I undergo these things: but I have no feeling of shame. For I have knowledge of him in whom I have faith, and I am certain that he is able to keep that which I have given into his care till that day.
13 Lé nyateƒe si mefia wò la me ɖe asi sesĩe, vevietɔ esi ku ɖe xɔse kple lɔlɔ̃ si Kristo Yesu tsɔ na wò la ŋu.
Keep the form of those true words which you had from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 Lé be na ŋutete si Mawu na nèxɔ to Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe si le agbe le mewò dzi la nyuie.
That good thing which was given to you keep safe, through the Holy Spirit which is in us.
You have had news that all those in Asia went away from me; among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes:
16 Aƒetɔ la nayra Onesiforo kple eƒe aƒe blibo la, elabena eva kpɔam ɖa, eye wòdea dzi ƒo nam enuenu. Eƒe kpɔkpɔɖa gbɔa agbem abe ya fafɛ nyui ene, eye nye gaxɔmenɔnɔ menye ŋukpe nɛ o.
May the Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus because he frequently gave me help, and had no feeling of shame because I was in chains;
But when he was in Rome, he went in search of me everywhere, and came to me
(May he have the Lord's mercy in that day); and of all he did for me at Ephesus you have full knowledge.
