2 Amenuveve kple ŋutifafa si tso Mawu, Fofo la kple Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo gbɔ la nanɔ anyi kpli mi.

Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Nɔvi lɔlɔ̃awo, ele be míatsɔ akpedada na Mawu ɖe mia ta. Menye nu dzeame ko wònye na mí o, ke boŋ míaƒe dɔ wònye be míawɔ na Mawu ɖe ale si miaƒe xɔse tsi ɖe edzi nukutɔe, eye miaƒe lɔlɔ̃ na mia nɔewo hã de to ŋutɔ la ta.

We ought to give thanks always to God for you, brothers, in a fitting manner, because your faith is increasing greatly, and because the charity of each of you toward one another is abundant,

4 Enye dzidzɔ na mí be míaƒo adegbe tso miaƒe dzigbɔɖi kple ale si miaƒe xɔse de to le Mawu me la ŋu na hame bubuwo, togbɔ be miele fukpekpe kple ɣeyiɣi sesẽwo me tom hã.

so much so that we ourselves even glory in you among the churches of God, because of your patience and faith in all of your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,

which are a sign of the just judgment of God, so that you may be held worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.

6 Eye le ɣe ma ɣi me ke la, edzɔ le Mawu ƒe ŋkume be wòatsɔ xaxa aɖo teƒe na ame siwo na xaxa mi la.

For certainly, it is just for God to repay trouble to those who trouble you,

7 Eya ta magblɔ na mi, ame siwo le fu kpem la be Mawu ana dzudzɔ mi kple míawo nenye be Aƒetɔ Yesu va do kpoyi tso dziƒo le dzo ƒe aɖewo me kple eƒe mawudɔla sesẽwo.

and to repay you, who are being troubled, with a repose with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with the Angels of his virtue,

8 Adrɔ̃ ʋɔnu ame siwo katã medi be yewoanya Mawu o kple ame siwo katã meɖoa to míaƒe Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo ƒe nyanyui la o.

granting vindication, by a flame of fire, against those who do not know God and who are not obedient to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 Woahe to na wo le dzomavɔ la me, eye womagakpɔ Aƒetɔ la ƒe ŋkume akpɔ gbeɖe o. Gawu la, womakpɔ eƒe ŋutikɔkɔe ƒe ŋusẽ hã o, (aiōnios g166)

These shall be given the eternal punishment of destruction, apart from the face of the Lord and apart from the glory of his virtue, (aiōnios g166)

10 ne eva be wòaxɔ kafukafu kple bubu ɖe dɔ gã si wòwɔ na ame kɔkɔewo la ta. Miawo la, mianɔ ame siwo anɔ ekafum la dome, elabena miexɔ Mawu ƒe nya si míegblɔ na mi la dzi se.

when he arrives to be glorified in his saints, and to become a wonder in all those who have believed, in that day, because our testimony has been believed by you.

11 Eya ta míedoa gbe ɖa ɖe mia ta ɖaa be míaƒe Mawu la nawɔ mi vi siwo ƒomevi wòdi be woanɔ ye si lae, eye agawɔ mi mianyo ade ale si miedi la nu! Mlɔeba la, atsɔ eƒe ŋusẽ axe fe na mi ɖe miaƒe xɔse ta.

Because of this, too, we pray always for you, so that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may complete every act of his goodness, as well as his work of faith in virtue,

12 Ekema ame sia ame anɔ Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo ƒe ŋkɔ kafum ɖe nu nyui siwo do go tso mia me wokpɔ la ta, eye miaƒe ŋutikɔkɔe gãtɔ kekeakee nye be miava nye etɔ. Míaƒe Mawu kple Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo ƒe nublanuikpɔkpɔ sɔgbɔ la ana esiawo katã ava eme na mi.

in order that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, in accord with the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
