1 Le esia megbe la, David ɖu Filistitɔwo dzi eye wòbɔbɔ wo ɖe anyi to woƒe du Meteg Ama xɔxɔ me.
After this, David struck the Philistines and subdued them; and David took the bridle of the mother city out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 Eɖu Moabtɔwo hã dzi eye wòna Moabtɔwo mlɔ anyi ɖe wo nɔewo xa le fliwo me. Etsɔ dzidzeka dzidze wo eye wòma wo ɖe akpa etɔ̃ me. Ewu ameawo ƒe akpa eve, ena akpa etɔ̃lia me tɔwo zu eƒe subɔlawo eye wòna wodzɔa nu nɛ ƒe sia ƒe.
He defeated Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. The Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.

David also struck Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his dominion at the River.
4 David lé sɔdola akpe wuiadre kple afɔzɔla akpe blaeve, etu ata na sɔawo katã negbe wo dometɔ alafa ɖeka ko.
David took from him one thousand and seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand footmen. David hamstrung the chariot horses, but reserved enough of them for one hundred chariots.
5 Esi Aramtɔwo tso Damasko va be yewoakpe ɖe Zoba fia Hadadezer ŋu la, David wu wo dometɔ akpe blaeve-vɔ-eve.
When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck twenty two thousand men of the Syrians.
6 David da asrafo aɖewo ɖe Damasko si nye Aramtɔwo ƒe fiadu la me. Ale Aramtɔwo zu David tenɔlawo eye wodzɔa adzɔga nɛ ƒe sia ƒe. Ale Yehowa na David ɖua dzi le afi sia afi si wòayi.
Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went.
7 David tsɔ sikakpoxɔnu siwo ŋu dɔ Fia Hadadezer ƒe aʋakɔwo wɔ la va Yerusalem.
David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 Etsɔ akɔbli gbogbo aɖe hã tso Teba kple Berotai siwo nye Fia Hadadezer ƒe du gãwo la me yi Yerusalem.
From Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, King David took a great quantity of bronze.
9 Esi Hamat fia, Tɔi, se ale si David si fia Hadadezer ƒe aʋakɔ blibo la,
When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer,
10 eɖo Via ŋutsu Yoram ɖe David gbɔ be wòado gbe nɛ, akafui le esi wòwɔ aʋa kple Hadadezer eye wòsii la ta, vevietɔ, esi Tɔi kple Hadadezer nye futɔwo ta. Tɔi ɖo nu siwo wowɔ kple klosalo, sika kple akɔbli la ɖe David.
then Toi sent Joram his son to King David to greet him and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him; for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. Joram brought with him vessels of silver, vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze.
11 Fia David kɔ nunana siawo katã ŋu na Yehowa, abe ale si wòwɔ kple klosalo kple sika si wòxɔ tso dukɔ siwo katã dzi wòɖu gbɔ,
King David also dedicated these to the LORD, with the silver and gold that he dedicated of all the nations which he subdued—
12 tso Edom kple Moab, Amonitɔwo kple Filistitɔwo kple Amalekitɔwo gbɔ ene. Ekɔ nu siwo wòha tso Hadadezer, Rehob ƒe vi, Zoba fia hã gbɔ la ŋu na Yehowa.
of Syria, of Moab, of the children of Ammon, of the Philistines, of Amalek, and of the plunder of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13 Ale David ƒe ŋkɔ ɖi hoo. Esi wòtrɔ gbɔ la, ewu Siriatɔ akpe wuienyi le Dze Balime
David earned a reputation when he returned from striking down eighteen thousand men of the Syrians in the Valley of Salt.
14 eye wòda asrafo aɖewo ɖe Edom ƒe teƒe ɖe sia ɖe. Ale Edomtɔwo zu David teviwo. Yehowa na wòɖua dzi le afi sia afi si wòayi.
He put garrisons in Edom. Throughout all Edom, he put garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went.
15 David ɖu Israel blibo la dzi kple dzɔdzɔenyenye eye wòwɔ nyui na ame sia ame.
David reigned over all Israel; and David executed justice and righteousness for all his people.
16 Yoab, Zeruya ƒe vi nɔ aʋakɔ la nu. Yehosafat, Ahilud ƒe vi nye fia ƒe tsiami.
Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army, Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder,
17 Zadok, Ahitub ƒe vi kple Ahimelek, Abiata ƒe vi nye nunɔlawo eye Seraya nye fia la ƒe nuŋlɔla.
Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were priests, Seraiah was scribe,
18 Benaya, Yehoiada ƒe vi nɔ Keretitɔwo kple Peletitɔwo, ame siwo nye fiaŋudzɔlawo la nu eye David ƒe viŋutsuwo nye nunɔlawo.
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief ministers.
