< Petro 2 2 >

1 Gake aʋatsonyagblɔɖilawo nɔ ameawo dome abe ale si aʋatsonufialawo anɔ miawo hã domee ene. Woahe nu dada fiafiawo vɛ le adzame, woagbe nu gɔ̃ hã le Aƒetɔ ŋusẽkatãtɔ si ƒle wo la gbɔ, eye woahe gbegblẽ ava woawo ŋutɔ ɖokui dzi kaba.
But false prophets also developed among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will sneak in pernicious denominations, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Ame geɖewo adze woƒe ŋukpenanuwɔwɔwo yome eye woagblɔ busunya ɖe nyateƒe la ŋu.
And many will follow their wantonness, because of whom the way of the truth will be blasphemed.
3 Nufiala siawo, le woƒe ŋukeklẽ me, atsɔ nya kpakpawo aɖe vi le mia ŋuti. Woƒe fɔbubu le ta dzi na wo tso blema ke, eye woƒe gbegblẽ medɔ alɔ̃ o.
And they will exploit you in greed with fabricated words, whose judgment is not idle for long, and their destruction will not slumber.
4 Elabena ne Mawu mekpɔ nublanui na mawudɔlawo esi wowɔ nu vɔ̃ o, ke boŋ eɖo wo ɖe dzomavɔ me, hede ga wo ɖe ʋe globo doviviti me, be woanɔ afi ma va se ɖe ʋɔnudrɔ̃gbe; (Tartaroō g5020)
For if God did not spare agents who sinned, but delivered them up to chains of darkness, having been cast into hell being reserved for judgment, (Tartaroō g5020)
5 ne metsɔe ke blema xexemetɔwo o, ke boŋ wòna tsi ɖɔ hetsrɔ̃ mawumavɔ̃la mawo, negbe dzɔdzɔenyenye ƒe gbeƒãɖela, Noa kple ame adreawo ko wòɖe;
and he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, the eighth, a herald of righteousness, when he brought on a flood upon the world of the irreverent,
6 ne ebu fɔ Sodom kple Gomora duawo hena dzo fia wo, wozu afi, eye wòtsɔ wo wɔ kpɔɖeŋu na nu si adzɔ ɖe mawumavɔ̃lawo dzi;
and he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction, being reduced to ashes, having made an example of men who were going to be irreverent,
7 ne eɖe ame dzɔdzɔe Lɔt, ame si semanɔsitɔ mawo ƒe agbe ƒaƒã nɔnɔ ti kɔ na,
and he rescued righteous Lot, being distressed by the conduct of the lawless in their licentiousness
8 (elabena esi ame dzɔdzɔe ma nɔ wo dome la, eƒe luʋɔ dzɔdzɔe la kpea fu gbe sia gbe ne ekpɔ, eye wòse agbe si nɔm ameawo le semaɖemɔnatɔe la).
(for that righteous man dwelling among them day after day, in the sight and hearing of their lawless deeds, it anguished his righteous soul),
9 Ne ele alea la, ekema Aƒetɔ la nya ale si wòaɖe mawuvɔ̃lawo tso dodokpɔwo me, eye wònya ale si wòalé mawumavɔ̃lawoe, anɔ to hem na wo va se ɖe ʋɔnudrɔ̃ŋkeke la dzi.
the Lord knows how to rescue the pious out of temptation, and to hold in reserve unrighteous men being cut off for a day of judgment.
10 Esia nye nyateƒe, vevietɔ na ame siwo dze ŋutilã ƒe nudzodzro vɔ̃wo yome, eye wodoa vlo kplɔlawo. Dzideƒo kple ɖokuiŋudzedze le ame siawo me ale gbegbe be womevɔ̃a nya vlowo gbɔgblɔ ɖe dziƒodɔlawo ŋu o.
And especially those going rear of flesh in a degenerate lust, and who despise lordship. Reckless, self-willed men, they do not tremble when speaking evil of dignities.
Whereas agents, being greater in might and power, do not bring a railing judgment against them before the Lord.
Wole abe lã siwo si nunya mele o, nuwɔwɔ siwo wɔ nu ɖekematsɔlemetɔe kple lã siwo wodzi ko be woalé wo, eye woatsrɔ̃ wo la ene. Eye abe lãwo ene la, woawo hã woatsrɔ̃.
But these men, like irrational beasts of nature, having been born for capture and destruction, speaking evil at which things they do not understand, will be destroyed in their corruption,
13 Woaxɔ madzemadzenyenye ƒe fetu: Ame siwo bua gbe sia gbe ƒe aglotutu dzidzɔdonui, ɖiƒoƒo kple ŋukpe wonye. Wotsɔa nu siwo wokpɔ to woƒe amebeble me la ɖua nu tsui; evɔ la, wonɔa anyi ɖe kplɔ̃ ɖeka ŋu ɖua nu kpli mi.
getting back a wage of unrighteousness. Men who consider soft living in the daytime to be pleasure, spots and blemishes reveling in their deceitfulness, feasting together with you,
14 Ahasiwɔwɔ xɔ ŋku dzi na wo, eye womedzudzɔ nu vɔ̃ wɔwɔ gbeɖe o, wodɔna kple ame malikewo.
having eyes full of adultery, and unceasing sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, children of a curse,
15 Wogblẽ mɔ dzɔdzɔe la ɖi, helé Beor ƒe vi Balaam ƒe mɔ tsɔ, ame si lɔ̃ vɔ̃ɖinyenye ƒe fetu.
having forsaken a straight path, they were led astray, men who followed the way of Balaam, son of Beor, who loved the wage of unrighteousness.
16 Ke tedzi lãmaƒonu tsɔ ame ƒe gbe ƒo nu nɛ, ka mo nɛ ɖe eƒe nu vɔ̃ wɔwɔ ta, heɖo asi Mawu ƒe nyagblɔɖila la ƒe tsukunuwo wɔwɔ dzi.
But he had a rebuke of his own lawbreaking. A mute donkey, uttering in a man's voice, restrained the madness of the prophet.
Wodzra viviti tsiɖitsiɖi ɖo ɖi na wo.
These men are waterless wells, and clouds driven by a fierce wind, for whom the gloom of darkness has been reserved into an age. (questioned)
18 Elabena wotsɔa woƒe nu gblɔa nya dzodzro, siwo me dada le, wotsɔa ŋutilã ƒe nudzodzro vɔ̃wo blea ame siwo si le ame vɔ̃ɖiwo nu fifi laa la nu.
For, uttering swollen things of vanity, they entice (to sensuality by lusts of flesh) those who actually escaped from those who live in error,
promising them freedom, while they themselves are bondmen of corruption, for by what any man has been overcome, of this he has also been enslaved.
20 Nenye be wosi le gbegblẽ si le xexea me nu, to sidzedze míaƒe Aƒetɔ kple Ɖela Yesu Kristo me, evɔ wogbugbɔ gabla wo ɖe nu mawo ke me, heɖu wo dzi la, woƒe nuwuwu avɔ̃ɖi wu ale si wònɔ le gɔmedzedzea me.
For if, having escaped the defilements of the world by knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and, having been again entangled in these, they are overcome, the last things have become worse for them than the first.
21 Anyo na wo be womenya dzɔdzɔenyenye ƒe mɔ o tsɔ wu be woanyae, eye woatrɔ megbe ade sedede kɔkɔe si wotsɔ de asi na wo.
For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
But that of the true proverb has happened to them, The dog returning to his own vomit, and the sow that washed to wallowing in mire.
