< Fiawo 2 21 >

1 Manase xɔ ƒe wuieve esime wòzu fia, eye wòɖu fia ƒe blaatɔ̃ vɔ atɔ̃ le Yerusalem. Dadaa ŋkɔe nye Hefziba.
Twelve years old, was Manasseh when he began to reign, and, fifty-five years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and the name of his mother was Hephzibah.
2 Ewɔ nu si nye vɔ̃ le Yehowa ŋkume eye wòdze dukɔ siwo Yehowa nya le Israelviwo ŋgɔ ƒe ŋunyɔnuwo wɔwɔ yome.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —after the abominable practices of the nations, whom Yahweh had dispossessed from before the sons of Israel.
He again built the high places, which Hezekiah his father had destroyed, —and reared altars to Baal, and made a Sacred Stem, as did Ahab, king of Israel, and bowed down to all the army of the heavens, and served them.
4 Etu vɔsamlekpuiwo ɖe Yehowa ƒe gbedoxɔ me, teƒe si ŋu Yehowa gblɔ le be, “Yerusalem anye nye ŋkɔ ƒe nɔƒe.”
And he used to build altars in the house of Yahweh, —concerning which Yahweh had said, —In Jerusalem, will I put my Name.
And he built altars to all the army of the heavens, —in the two courts of the house of Yahweh;
6 Etsɔa Via ŋutsuvi saa dzovɔe. Ekaa afa, dea nubiaƒe kple ŋɔliyɔlawo gbɔ. Ewɔ nu siwo nye vɔ̃ la geɖe fũu le Yehowa ŋkume hetsɔ do dzikue nɛ.
and caused his son to pass through the fire, and practised hidden arts and used divination, and dealt with a familiar spirit and wizards, —he exceeded in doing the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, provoking [him] to anger;
7 Manase li aƒeli si wòwɔ la ɖe gbedoxɔ la me, teƒe si tututu ŋu Yehowa ƒo nu tsoe na David kple Solomo esi wògblɔ be, “Matsɔ nye ŋkɔ aɖo gbedoxɔ sia me kple Yerusalem, du si metia tso Israel ƒe towo ƒe duwo katã me la ŋu tegbetegbe!
and he set the image of the Sacred Stem which he had made, —in the house, of which Yahweh had said unto David, and unto Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my Name, unto times age-abiding;
and I will not again let the foot of Israel wander away from the soil which I gave unto their fathers. Only if they take heed to do according to all that I have commanded them, even to the extent of all the law which, my servant Moses, commanded them.
9 Ke ameawo meɖo to Yehowa o eye Manase na wowɔ nu vɔ̃ wu dukɔ siwo ƒo xlã wo, togbɔ be Yehowa tsrɔ̃ dukɔ siawo le woƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta, esi Israelviwo ge ɖe anyigba la dzi gɔ̃ hã.
But they hearkened not, —and Manasseh led them astray to do the thing that was wicked, more than the nations which Yahweh destroyed from before the sons of Israel.
10 Yehowa ƒo nu to eƒe nyagblɔɖilawo dzi na ameawo be,
Yahweh therefore spake through his servants the prophets saying—
11 “Esi Fia Manase wɔ nu vɔ̃ siawo eye wòvɔ̃ɖi wu Amoritɔwo, ame siwo nɔ anyigba la dzi tsã eye esi wòkplɔ Yuda de legbasubɔsubɔ me ta la,
Because Manasseh king of Judah hath made these abominations—hath done that which is wicked, more than all which the Amorites did who were before him, and hath caused, even Judah, to sin with his manufactured gods,
12 Yehowa, Israel ƒe Mawu be mahe dzɔgbevɔ̃e va Yerusalem kple Yuda dzi ale gbegbe be ame sia ame si ase nu tso dzɔgbevɔ̃e sia ŋu la ƒe to me aɖi yeŋ kple vɔvɔ̃.
therefore—Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, Behold me! bringing in calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah, —that, whosoever heareth thereof, both his ears, will tingle;
And I will stretch over Jerusalem, the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab, —and will wipe out Jerusalem, as one wipeth out a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down;
14 Gawu la, magbe nu le nye ame ʋɛ siwo asusɔ la gɔ̃ hã gbɔ eye matsɔ wo ade asi na woƒe futɔwo
And will abandon the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies, —and they shall become a prey and a plunder, to all their enemies:
15 elabena wowɔ nu vɔ̃ le nye ŋkume eye wodo dɔmedzoe nam tso esime mekplɔ wo tɔgbuiwo tso Egipte va se ɖe fifi.”
Because they have done the thing that is wicked in mine eyes, and have become such as to provoke me to anger, —from the day when their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even until this day.
16 Hekpe ɖe legbasubɔsubɔ si Yehowa lé fui, subɔsubɔ si me Manase he ameawo dee ŋu la, Manase wu ame maɖifɔ geɖewo eye ame siwo wòwu la ƒe kukuawo xɔ Yerusalem ƒe akpa sia akpa.
Moreover also, innocent blood, did Manasseh shed in great abundance, till he had filled Jerusalem, from one end to the other, besides his committing the sins which he caused, Judah, to commit, in doing the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh.
17 Woŋlɔ Manase ƒe fiaɖuɖu vɔ̃ɖi la ƒe ŋutinya mamlɛa kple nu siwo wòwɔ kpakple eƒe nu vɔ̃ la ɖe Yuda fiawo ƒe ŋutinyagbalẽwo me.
Now, the rest of the story of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he committed, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
18 Esi wòku la woɖii ɖe eƒe aƒe ƒe abɔ si nye Uza ƒe abɔ le fiasã la me, eye via Amon ɖu fia ɖe eteƒe.
And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza, —and, Amon his son, reigned, in his stead.
19 Amon xɔ ƒe blaeve-vɔ-eve esi wòɖu fia eye wòɖu fia le Yerusalem ƒe eve. Dadaa ŋkɔe nye Mesulemet, Haruz ƒe vinyɔnu, ame si tso Yotba.
Twenty-two years old, was Amon when he began to reign, and, two years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, his mother’s name, was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz, of Jotbah.
20 Ewɔ nu vɔ̃ le Yehowa ŋkume abe fofoa, Manase, ene.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —as did Manasseh his father;
21 Ewɔ nu vɔ̃ siwo katã fofoa wɔ eye wòsubɔ legba siwo katã fofoa subɔ.
yea he walked in all the way wherein, his father, had walked, —and served the manufactured gods that, his father, had served, and bowed down to them;
and forsook Yahweh the God of his fathers, —and walked not in the way of Yahweh.
And the servants of Amon, conspired against him, —and slew the king in his own house.
24 Dukɔmevi aɖewo wu ame siwo wu Fia Amon la dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe eye wotsɔ Amon ƒe vi Yosia ɖo fiae.
Then the people of the land smote all who had conspired against King Amon, —and the people of the land made, Josiah his son, king, in his stead.
25 Woŋlɔ Amon ƒe ŋutinya mamlɛa ɖe Yuda fiawo ƒe ŋutinyagbalẽ me.
Now, the rest of the story of Amon, what he did, is, it, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
26 Woɖii ɖe eƒe yɔdo me le Uzabɔ me eye via Yosia ɖu fia ɖe eteƒe.
And he was buried in his grave, in the garden of Uzza, —and, Josiah his son, reigned, in his stead.
