In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign.
2 Exɔ ƒe wuiade esi wòzu fia eye wòɖu dzi le Yerusalem ƒe blaatɔ̃ vɔ eve. Dadaa ŋkɔe nye Yekolia tso Yerusalem.
He was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
3 Azaria nye fia nyui aɖe eye Yehowa kpɔ ŋudzedze le eŋu abe ale si wòkpɔe le fofoa, Amazia, ŋu ene
He did that which was right in the LORD’s eyes, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.

However, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.

The LORD struck the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and lived in a separate house. Jotham, the king’s son, was over the household, judging the people of the land.
6 Woŋlɔ Fia Azaria ƒe ŋutinya mamlɛa kple nu siwo katã wòwɔ la ɖe Yuda fiawo ƒe ŋutinyagbalẽ me.

7 Esi Azaria ku la, woɖii ɖe tɔgbuiawo gbɔ le David ƒe du la me eye via Yotam ɖu fia ɖe eteƒe.
Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in David’s city; and Jotham his son reigned in his place.
8 Israel fia yeye lae nye Zekaria, fofoae nye Yeroboam Evelia. Eɖu fia ɣleti ade ko. Edze fiaɖuɖu gɔme le Yuda fia Azaria ƒe fiaɖuɖu ƒe ƒe blaetɔ̃-vɔ-enyilia me.
In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria six months.
9 Ke Zekaria nye fia vɔ̃ɖi aɖe le Yehowa ŋkume, abe fofoawo ene. Ena Israel wɔ nu vɔ̃ to legbawo subɔsubɔ me abe Yeroboam Gbãtɔ, Nebat ƒe vi ene.
He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, as his fathers had done. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
10 Salum, Yabes ƒe vi ɖo nugbe ɖe eŋu hewui le lbleam eye wòzu fia ɖe eteƒe.
Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and struck him before the people and killed him, and reigned in his place.
11 Woŋlɔ Zekaria ƒe ŋutinya mamlɛa ɖe Israel fiawo ƒe ŋutinyagbalẽ me.

12 Ale nya si Yehowa gblɔ na Yehu be, “Wò dzidzimeviwo aɖu fia va se ɖe dzidzime enelia dzi” la va eme.
This was the LORD’s word which he spoke to Jehu, saying, “Your sons to the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.” So it came to pass.
13 Israel fia yeye lae nye Salum. Fofoae nye Yabes. Eɖu fia ɣleti ɖeka pɛ ko. Yuda fia Azaria, ame si wogayɔna be Uzia la nɔ eƒe fiaɖuɖu ƒe ƒe blaetɔ̃-vɔ-asiekɛlia me.
Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned for a month in Samaria.
14 Le Salum ƒe fiaɖuɖu ɣleti ɖeka megbe la, Menahem, Gadi ƒe vi tso Tirza va Samaria eye wòwui. Ale Menahem zu fia ɖe eteƒe.
Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, came to Samaria, struck Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, killed him, and reigned in his place.
15 Woŋlɔ nya bubuwo tso Fia Salum kple eƒe nugbeɖoɖowo ŋu ɖe Israel fiawo ƒe ŋutinyagbalẽ me.

16 Fia Menahem gbã Tapua du kple kɔƒe siwo ƒo xlãe elabena ameawo gbe be yewomaxɔe abe woƒe fia ene o. Ewu ameawo katã eye wòdze ƒodo le funɔwo nu.
Then Menahem attacked Tiphsah and all who were in it and its border areas, from Tirzah. He attacked it because they didn’t open their gates to him, and he ripped up all their women who were with child.

In the thirty ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem the son of Gadi began to reign over Israel for ten years in Samaria.
18 Menahem nye fia vɔ̃ɖi aɖe le Yehowa ŋkume. Esubɔ legbawo abe ale si Yeroboam Gbãtɔ wɔ xoxoxo la ene eye wòhe Israel de nu vɔ̃ me.
He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight. He didn’t depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
19 Pul, Asiria fia ho aʋa ɖe Israel ŋu eye Menahem tsɔ klosaloga kilogram akpe blaetɔ̃ vɔ ade nɛ be wòakpe ɖe ye ŋu fiaɖuƒe la nanɔ ye si.
Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul one thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

Menahem exacted the money from Israel, even from all the mighty men of wealth, from each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and didn’t stay there in the land.

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria for two years.
24 Pekahia nye fia vɔ̃di aɖe le Yehowa ŋkume. Eyi legbasubɔsubɔ si gɔme Fia Yeroboam Gbãtɔ, Nebat ƒe vi, dze la dzi eye wòkplɔ Israel to nu vɔ̃ mɔ ma dzi.

25 Peka, Remalia ƒe vi, aʋafiawo dometɔ ɖeka wɔ babla kple Gileadtɔ blaatɔ̃ ɖe eŋu eye wowui le fiasã la me le Samaria. Wowu Argɔb kple Arieh kpe ɖe eŋu. Ale Peka zu fia yeye la.
Pekah the son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him and attacked him in Samaria, in the fortress of the king’s house, with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites. He killed him, and reigned in his place.

In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria for twenty years.
28 Peka hã nye fia vɔ̃ɖi aɖe le Yehowa ŋkume; eya hã wɔ nu vɔ̃ si Yeroboam Gbãtɔ, Nebat ƒe vi, ame si kplɔ Israel blibo la de legbasubɔsubɔ me la wɔ.
He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin.
29 Eƒe fiaɖuɣi mee Asiria fia, Tiglat Pilser, ame si wogayɔna be Pul la ho aʋa ɖe Israel ŋu. Du siwo dzi wòɖu la woe nye Iyɔn, Abel Bet Maka, Yanoa, Kedes kple Hazor. Exɔ Gilead kple Galilea hã hekpe ɖe Naftalinyigba blibo la ŋu. Eɖe aboyo amewo yi Asiria.
In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath Pileser king of Assyria came and took Ijon, Abel Beth Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.
30 Hosea, Ela ƒe vi ɖo nugbe ɖe Peka ŋu eye wòwui, ale Hosea zu fia yeye la. Israel fia yeye lae nye Hosea. Eɖu fia le Israel le esime Yotam, Uzia ƒe vi ɖu fia ƒe blaeve le Yuda.
Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, attacked him, killed him, and reigned in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah began to reign.
33 Exɔ ƒe blaeve vɔ atɔ̃ esi wòɖu fia eye wòɖu fia ƒe wuiade le Yerusalem. Dadae ŋkɔe nye Yerusa, Zadok ƒe vinyɔnu.
He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.
34 Ewɔ nu dzɔdzɔe le Yehowa ŋkume, abe ale si fofoa, Uzia, wɔ ene.
He did that which was right in the LORD’s eyes. He did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

36 Woŋlɔ Yotam ƒe ŋutinya mamlɛa ɖe Yuda fiawo ƒe ŋutinyagbalẽ me.

37 Le ŋkeke mawo me la, Yehowa na Siria fia Rezin kple Israel fia Peka ho aʋa ɖe Yuda ŋuti.
In those days, the LORD began to send Rezin the king of Syria and Pekah the son of Remaliah against Judah.
38 Esi Yotam ku la, woɖii ɖe tɔgbuiawo dome le fofoa de si nye David ƒe du la me. Yotam ƒe vi Ahaz zu fia yeye la.
Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in his father David’s city; and Ahaz his son reigned in his place.
