< Korintotɔwo 2 1 >

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout Achaia:
2 Amenuveve kple ŋutifafa si tso Mawu, mía Fofo kple Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo gbɔ la nanɔ anyi kpli mi.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Woakafu Mawu, ame si nye míaƒe Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo Fofo, nublanuikpɔkpɔ Fofo kple akɔfafa katã ƒe Mawu la,
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
4 ame si fa akɔ na mí le míaƒe xaxawo katã me, ale be míawo hã míate ŋu afa akɔ na ame siwo le xaxa me kple akɔfafa si míawo ŋutɔ míexɔ tso Mawu gbɔ.
who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we can comfort those experiencing any kind of affliction with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
5 Abe ale si Kristo ƒe fukpekpewo gena ɖe míaƒe agbe mee ene la, nenema ke to Kristo me míaƒe akɔfafa hã gbã goe.
For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
6 Ne míexaxa la, miawo ƒe akɔfafa kple ɖeɖe tae; ke ne wofa akɔ na mí la, miawo ƒe akɔfafa tae. Esia dea dzigbɔgbɔ blewuu mia me be miawo hã mietea ŋu kpea fu siwo miekpena.
If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation, which helps you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. And our hope for you is steadfast. If we are comforted, it is also for your comfort and salvation,
7 Míaƒe mɔkpɔkpɔ na mi li ke goŋgoŋgoŋ, elabena míenya be abe ale si miekpɔ gome le míaƒe fukpekpewo me ene la, nenema ke miakpɔ gome le míaƒe akɔfafa hã me.
because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
8 Nɔvi lɔlɔ̃tɔwo, mebu be ele be magblɔ fu siwo míekpe le Asia la na mi. Woƒo mí, eye wowɔ fu mí ale gbegbe be míawo ŋutɔ gɔ̃ hã míebu mɔkpɔkpɔ ɖe sia ɖe be míatsi agbe.
We do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself.
9 Míebu be míedze na ku elabena míekpɔ be wɔna aɖeke meganɔ mía ŋu o, gake míetsɔ nu sia nu gblẽ ɖe Mawu si tea ŋu wɔa nu sia nu, eye wòfɔa ame kukuwo gɔ̃ hã tso yɔdo me la ƒe asi me.
Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But this happened so that we would not rely on ourselves, but on God, who raises the dead.
10 Vavã, Mawu ɖe mí tso ku dziŋɔ aɖe me, ale míetsɔ míaƒe mɔkpɔkpɔ da ɖe edzi be aɖe mí tso fukpekpe ɖe sia ɖe me ɖaa.
He rescued us from such a terrible death, and continues to rescue us. We have put our hope in him that he will rescue us yet again
11 Eya ta mi katã miwɔ ɖeka ne miado gbe ɖa ɖe mía ta vevie.
as you join in helping us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on your behalf for the favor granted to us through the prayers of many.
12 Ke míawo hã, adegbe si míaƒe dzitsinya nana míeƒona lae nye be míeléa mía ɖokuiwo nyuie le xexe sia me, eye le mia dome hã la, míewɔ mía ɖokuiwo dzadzɛe, eye míetoa nyateƒe le nu sia nu me. Ke menye míawo ŋutɔ ƒe ŋusẽ mee míewɔ esiawo le o, ke boŋ wo katã tso Mawu ƒe amenuveve me.
Now this is the reason for our confidence: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with integrity and godly sincerity, not by worldly wisdom, but by the grace of God.
13 Elabena míeŋlɔ nya bubu aɖeke na mi, si miate ŋu axlẽ alo ase egɔme o. Mele mɔ kpɔm be,
For we are not writing anything to you other than what you can read and understand. And I hope that you will understand completely—
14 abe ale si miese míaƒe nya gɔme afã kple afãe ene la, miava se egɔme blibo ale be miate ŋu aƒo adegbe le mía ŋu abe ale si míaƒoe le mia ŋu le Aƒetɔ Yesu ƒe ŋkeke la dzi ene.
just as you have understood us in part—that on the day of the Lord Jesus you will be proud of us just as we will be proud of you.
15 Esi meka ɖe miaƒe nugɔmesese dzi tae medi be mava mia gbɔ gbã le nye mɔzɔzɔ me, ale be miagaxɔ yayra ɖe yayra dzi.
Because I was confident of this, I intended to come to you first, so that you would be blessed by a second visit.
I wanted to visit you on my way to Macedonia and return to you from Macedonia, and then have you send me on my way to Judea.
17 Ɖewohĩ mianɔ biabiam be ɖe metrɔ ɖoɖo si mewɔ gbã la alo ɖe mele nu wɔm abe xexea me tɔ siwo menya Kristo o, ne nya la nye “ɛ̃” la, wogblɔna be, “ao” ene mahã?
Was I vacillating when I planned to do this? Or do I make my plans in a worldly manner, ready to say “Yes” and “No” at the same time?
18 Gbeɖe, mele eme nenema o. Nye “ɛ̃” nye “ɛ̃.”
As surely as God is faithful, our message to you did not waver between “Yes” and “No.”
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom Silvanus, Timothy, and I preached among you, did not waver between “Yes” and “No.” On the contrary, in him God's answer has always been “Yes.”
20 Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo kpɔna hã be Mawu ƒe ŋugbedodo ɖe sia ɖe va eme pɛpɛpɛ. Ne ŋugbedodoawo wu akpe nanewo hã la, wovaa eme, eye miegblɔa “Amen” to Kristo dzi hena Mawu ƒe kafukafu.
For in him every one of God's promises is “Yes,” and in him we say “Amen” to the glory of God.
21 Medi be wòanɔ susu me na mi be Mawue wɔ mí kple miawo hã bena míezu kristotɔ vavãwo eye wòtia mí abe eƒe apostolowo ene be míaɖe gbeƒã nyanyui la.
Now it is God who establishes us with you in Christ and who anointed us.
22 Eya ame si de dzesi mí abe viawo ene eye wòtsɔ Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe la de míaƒe dziwo me abe kpeɖodzi be míenye etɔwo vavã la ene.
He has also sealed us and put his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.
23 Azɔ la, meyɔ Mawu tso nye dzi me ke abe ɖasefo ene be nu si gblɔm mele na mi la nye nyateƒe tututu; susu si ta nyemetrɔ va Korinto haɖe o lae nye be nyemedi be mava ka mo na mi, eye mawɔe be miaxa nu o.
I call upon God as a witness against me, that the reason I did not return to Corinth was to spare you.
Ke medi be mawɔ nane si ado dzidzɔ na mi, nye dɔwɔhatiwo ne meva, menye be mana mialé blanui o.
Not that we rule over your faith; rather, we work with you for your joy, because by faith you stand firm.
