1 Le ƒe blaeve megbe esi Solomo tu Yehowa ƒe gbedoxɔ la kple eya ŋutɔ ƒe fiasã la vɔ la,
Then, twenty years having passed since Solomon built the house of the Lord and his own house,
2 Solomo gbugbɔ kɔƒe siwo Hiram tso nɛ la tu eye wòna Israelviwo yi ɖanɔ wo me.
he built the cities that Hiram had given to Solomon, and he caused the sons of Israel to live there.
3 Ɣeyiɣi sia me kee Solomo ho aʋa ɖe Hamat Zoba du la ŋu eye wòɖu edzi.
Also, he went to Hamath Zobah, and he obtained it.
4 Etso Tadmɔ du la ɖe gbegbe kple du bubuwo ɖe Hamat abe nudzraɖoƒe duwo ene.
And he built Palmira in the desert, and he built very fortified cities in Hamath.
5 Eglã Bet Horon du dzigbetɔ kple Bet Horon anyigbetɔ siaa. Eɖo gli ƒo xlã wo, de gakpogbowo kple gametiwo wo nu.
And he built upper Beth-horon and lower Beth-horon, as walled cities, having gates and bars and locks,
6 Etu Baalat kple nudzraɖoƒe du bubuwo le ɣeyiɣi sia me, etso du siwo me wòda eƒe tasiaɖamwo kple sɔwo ɖo eye wòtu xɔ siwo katã dzroe la ɖe Yerusalem kple Lebanon kple teƒe bubu vovovowo le anyigba si dzi wònye fia ɖo.
as well as Baalath, and all the very strong cities which were of Solomon, and all the cities of the chariots, and the cities of the horsemen. Everything whatsoever that Solomon willed and decided, he built in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout the entire land of his authority.
7 Ame siwo katã susɔ le Hititɔwo, Amoritɔwo, Perizitɔwo, Hivitɔwo kple Yebusitɔwo dome (ame siwo menye Israelviwo o),
All the people who had been left from the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, those who were not from the stock of Israel,
8 Woawoe nye ame siwo nɔ anyigba la dzi tsã ƒe dzidzimeviwo ame siwo Israelviwo metsrɔ̃ o la. Fia Solomo na wowɔ dɔ abe kluviwo ene abe ale si wòle va se ɖe egbe ene.
those of their sons and their posterity whom the sons of Israel had not put to death, Solomon subjugated as tributaries, even to this day.
9 Ke metsɔ Israelviwo ya wɔ kluviwo o, ke boŋ ena wozu asrafowo, asrafomegãwo, le aʋafiawo, tasiaɖamkulawo dzikpɔlawo kple sɔdolawo nu;
But he did not appoint anyone from the sons of Israel to serve in the works of the king. For they were men of war, and first rulers, and commanders of his chariots and horsemen.
10 hekpe ɖe dziɖuɖu ƒe dɔdzikpɔla alafa eve blaatɔ̃, ame siwo kpɔa dukɔmenyawo katã dzi la ŋu.
Now all the leaders of the army of king Solomon were two hundred fifty, who were instructing the people.
11 Solomo kplɔ srɔ̃a si nye Fia Farao ƒe vinyɔnu la dzoe tso Yerusalem ƒe akpa si woyɔna be David ƒe Du la me yi fiasã yeye si wotu nɛ la me elabena egblɔ be, “Mele be srɔ̃nye nanɔ Fia David ƒe fiasã me o elabena Yehowa ƒe nubablaɖaka la nɔ afi ma kpɔ eye wònye teƒe kɔkɔe.”
Truly, he transferred the daughter of Pharaoh, from the City of David, to the house that he had built for her. For the king said: “My wife shall not live in the house of David, king of Israel, for it has been sanctified. For the ark of the Lord has entered into it.”
12 Solomo sa numevɔwo na Yehowa le Yehowa ƒe vɔsamlekpui si wòɖi ɖe akpata si le gbedoxɔ la ŋgɔ la dzi.
Then Solomon offered holocausts to the Lord on the altar of the Lord, which he had constructed before the portico,
13 Wosaa vɔ siawo ɖe gbe sia gbe ƒe hiahiãwo nu abe ale si dze ene, ɖe Dzudzɔgbewo, Dzinu Yeyewo kple ŋkekenyui etɔ̃ siwo woɖuna le ƒea me la nu. Esiawoe nye Abolo Maʋamaʋã ƒe Ŋkekenyui, Kɔsiɖawo ƒe Ŋkekenyui kple Agbadɔ ƒe Ŋkekenyui.
so that every day there would be an offering on it, in accord with the precept of Moses, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and three times a year on the feast days, that is, on the solemnity of unleavened bread, and on the solemnity of weeks, and on the solemnity of tabernacles.
14 Be wòalé fofoa David ƒe ɖoɖowo me ɖe asi la, etia nunɔlawo ɖe woƒe hatsotsowo me hena woƒe dɔdeasiwo wɔwɔ eye Levitɔwo hã be woanɔ ŋgɔ le kafukafuhawo dzidzime eye woakpe ɖe nunɔlaawo ŋu le gbe sia gbe ƒe hiahiãwo nu. Nenema ke wòtia agbonudzɔlawo ɖe woƒe hatsotsowo me hena agbo vovovoawo ŋu dzɔdzɔ elabena esiae David, Mawu ƒe ame la, ɖo da ɖi.
And he appointed, in accord with the plan of his father David, the offices of the priests in their ministries; and those of the Levites, in their orders, so that they might praise and minister before the priests according to the ritual of each day; and the porters, in their divisions, from gate to gate. For so had David, the man of God, instructed.
15 Womeda le fia la ƒe sededewo na nunɔlawo alo Levitɔwo dzi le nya aɖeke me o. Nenema kee nye nudzraɖoƒewo ƒe nyawo hã.
Neither the priests, nor the Levites, transgressed against the commands of the king, in all that he had instructed, and in the keeping of the treasuries.
16 Wowɔ dɔ siwo katã Solomo de tome be yeawɔ la tso gbe si gbe wòɖo Yehowa ƒe gbedoxɔ la ƒe gɔmeɖokpe anyi va se ɖe esime wowu enu. Ale wowu Yehowa ƒe gbedoxɔ la tutu nu.
Solomon had all the expenses prepared, from the day on which he founded the house of the Lord, even until the day when he perfected it.
17 Solomo yi Ezion Geber kple Elat le Edom ƒuta.
Then Solomon went away to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, on the coast of the Red Sea, which is in the land of Edom.
18 Hiram ɖo tɔdziʋu siwo eya ŋutɔ ƒe amewo, ame siwo nya atsiaƒu ŋu dɔ wɔwɔ nyuie la ku la ɖee. Ame siawo kple Solomo ƒe amewo yi Ofir eye wotsɔ sika kilo akpe wuiatɔ̃ vɛ na Fia Solomo.
And Hiram sent to him ships, by the hands of his servants, sailors and skillful navigators of the sea, and they went away with the servants of Solomon to Ophir. And they took from there four hundred fifty talents of gold, and they brought it to king Solomon.
