< Kronika 2 22 >

1 Yerusalem nɔlawo tsɔ Ahazia, Yehoram ƒe viŋutsu suetɔ ɖo fiae ɖe fofoa teƒe elabena adzoha aɖewo va kple Arabiatɔwo, woge ɖe woƒe aʋasaɖa me eye wowu Via ŋutsu tsitsitɔwo katã. Ale Ahazia, Yuda fia, Yehoram ƒe viŋutsu dze fiaɖuɖu gɔme.
The inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his place, because the band of men who came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the oldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.
2 Ahazia xɔ ƒe blaeve-vɔ-eve esi wòzu fia eye wòɖu fia ƒe ɖeka le Yerusalem. Dadae nye Atalia, ame si nye Omri ƒe tɔgbuiyɔvi.
Ahaziah was forty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah the daughter of Omri.
3 Ahazia hã nye fia vɔ̃ɖi aɖe abe Ahab ene elabena dadaa do ŋusẽe be wòanɔ nu vɔ̃ wɔwɔ dzi.
He also walked in the ways of Ahab’s house, because his mother was his counselor in acting wickedly.
4 Enye fia vɔ̃ɖi aɖe abe Ahab ene elabena Ahab ƒe ƒometɔwo zu eƒe aɖaŋuɖolawo le fofoa ƒe ku megbe eye woblee de gbegblẽ me.
He did that which was evil in the LORD’s sight, as did Ahab’s house, for they were his counselors after the death of his father, to his destruction.
5 Ahazia zɔ ɖe woƒe aɖaŋu vɔ̃ nu eye wòwɔ ɖeka kple Yoram, Israel fia Ahab ƒe vi, hekpe aʋa kpli Aram fia Hazael le Ramot Gilead. Aramtɔwo de abi Yoram ŋu le aʋa sia me.
He also followed their counsel, and went with Jehoram the son of Ahab king of Israel to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth Gilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.
6 Eya ta egbɔ va Yezreel be yeagbɔ ɖe eme, eye yeakpɔ egbɔ be woda gbe le abi siwo wode eŋu le Ramot, esime wòwɔ aʋa kple Aram fia Hazael la ŋu. Ke Ahazia si nye Yuda fia Yehoram ƒe vi, yi Yezerel be yeakpɔ Ahab vi Yoram ɖa ɖe eƒe abixɔxɔ ta.
He returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which they had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. Azariah the son of Jehoram, king of Judah, went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
7 Nu sia trɔ zu vodada gã aɖe wòwɔ, elabena Mawu ɖo be yeahe to na Ahazia le eƒe ɖekawɔwɔ kple Yoram ta. Ɣeyiɣi sia mee Ahazia kple Yehoram kpe ɖe Yehu, Nimsi ƒe vi, ŋu le esime wònye Yehue Yehowa ɖo ɖa be, wòatsi Ahab ƒe viwo ƒe fiaɖuɖu nu.
Now the destruction of Ahaziah was of God, in that he went to Joram; for when he had come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off Ahab’s house.
8 Esime Yehu nɔ Ahab ƒe ƒometɔwo kple xɔlɔ̃wo wum la, edo go Ahazia ƒe viŋutsuwo, ame siwo nye Yuda ƒe fiaviŋutsuwo eye wòwu wo.
When Jehu was executing judgment on Ahab’s house, he found the princes of Judah and the sons of the brothers of Ahaziah serving Ahaziah, and killed them.
9 Esi Yehu kple eƒe amewo nɔ Ahazia dim la, wokpɔe wòbe ɖe Samaria du me, wolée yi na Yehu eye wòwui. Woɖi Ahazia abe fia ene elabena Fia Yehosafat, ame si subɔ Yehowa kple dzi blibo la ƒe tɔgbuiyɔvie. Ahazia ƒe vi Yoas koe tsi agbe aɖu fia ɖe eteƒe;
He sought Ahaziah, and they caught him (now he was hiding in Samaria), and they brought him to Jehu and killed him; and they buried him, for they said, “He is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart.” The house of Ahaziah had no power to hold the kingdom.
10 Esi Atalia, Ahazia dada kpɔ be ye viŋutsu ku la, eɖawu fia la ƒe ƒometɔwo katã, ame siwo nɔ Yuda ƒe aƒe la me.
Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal offspring of the house of Judah.
But Jehoshabeath, the king’s daughter, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stealthily rescued him from among the king’s sons who were slain, and put him and his nurse in the bedroom. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest (for she was the sister of Ahaziah), hid him from Athaliah, so that she did not kill him.
12 Yoas nɔ bebeƒe kpli wo le Mawu ƒe gbedoxɔ la me ƒe ade sɔŋ, esime Atalia nɔ anyigba la dzi ɖum.
He was with them hidden in God’s house six years while Athaliah reigned over the land.
