< Kronika 2 18 >

1 Azɔ la, kesinɔnu geɖe ɖo Yehosafat si eye bubu hã nɔ eŋu. Ewɔ ɖeka kple Ahab to via nyɔnuvi ɖeka ɖeɖe me.
And Iehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, but he was ioyned in affinitie with Ahab.
2 Le ƒe ʋɛe aɖewo megbe la, eyi Samaria be yeakpɔ Fia Ahab ɖa eye Fia Ahab wu alẽ kple nyi geɖewo heɖo kplɔ̃ na Yehosafat kple eƒe amewo. Ahab bia Yehosafat be wòakpe ɖe ye ŋu yewoaho aʋa ɖe Ramot Gilead ŋu.
And after certaine yeeres he went downe to Ahab to Samaria: and Ahab slew sheepe and oxen for him in great nomber, and for the people that he had with him, and entised him to goe vp vnto Ramoth Gilead.
3 Ahab, Israel fia, bia Yuda fia, Yehosafat be, “Àte ŋu akpe ɖe ŋunye míaho aʋa ɖe Ramot Gilead ŋua?” Yehosafat ɖo eŋu be, “Mele abe wò ene eye nye dukɔ le abe wò dukɔ ene. Míakpe ɖe ŋutiwò le aʋa la me.”
And Ahab King of Israel saide vnto Iehoshaphat King of Iudah, Wilt thou goe with mee to Ramoth Gilead? And hee answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people, and wee will ioyne with thee in the warre.
4 Gake Yehosafat gblɔ kpe ɖe eŋu na Israel fia bena “Bia gbe Yehowa gbã.”
And Iehoshaphat sayde vnto the King of Israel, Aske counsel, I pray thee, at the worde of the Lord this day.
5 Ale Israel fia ƒo nyagblɔɖila alafa ene nu ƒu eye wòbia wo be, “Mího aʋa ɖe Ramot Gilead ŋu loo alo mínɔ anyi koa?” Woɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Yi, elabena Mawu atsɔe ade fia la ƒe asi me.”
Therefore the King of Israel gathered of Prophets foure hundreth men, and sayde vnto them, Shall we goe to Ramoth Gilead to battel, or shall I cease? And they sayd, Go vp: for God shall deliuer it into the Kings hand.
6 Ke Yehosafat bia be, “Yehowa ƒe nyagblɔɖila mele afi sia, si míabia gbee oa?”
But Iehoshaphat sayde, Is there heere neuer a Prophet more of the Lord that wee might inquire of him?
7 Israel fia ɖo eŋu na Yehosafat be, “Ame ɖeka aɖe gali ame si dzi míato abia gbe Yehowa gake melé fui elabena megblɔa nyanyui aɖeke ɖi tso ŋunye o; nya vɔ̃ ko wògblɔna ɖi tso ŋunye. Eyae nye Mikaya, Imla ƒe viŋutsu.” Yehosafat ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Fia la megagblɔ nya ma o.”
And the King of Israel sayd vnto Iehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whome wee may aske counsell of the Lord, but I hate him: for he doeth not prophesie good vnto me, but alway euil: it is Michaiah the sonne of Imla. Then Iehoshaphat said, Let not the King say so.
8 Ale Israel fia la gblɔ na eŋumewo dometɔ ɖeka be, “Yi kaba nàyɔ Mikaya, Imla ƒe vi la vɛ!”
And the King of Israel called an eunuche, and said, Call quickly Michaiah the sonne of Imla.
9 Le ɣeyiɣi sia me la, Israel fia kple Yuda fia Yehosafat do woƒe fiawuwo, eye wonɔ fiazikpuiwo dzi le lugbɔƒe le Samariagbo la gbɔ, eye nyagblɔɖilawo katã nɔ nya gblɔm ɖi le woƒe ŋkume.
And the King of Israel, and Iehoshaphat King of Iudah sate either of them on his throne clothed in their apparel: they sate euen in the threshing floore at the entring in of the gate of Samaria: and all the Prophets prophesied before them.
10 Nyagblɔɖilawo dometɔ ɖeka, Zedekiya, Kenana ƒe vi, tsɔ ga wɔ lãdzo aɖe eye wògblɔ be, Ale Yehowa gblɔe nye esi, “Àtsɔ lãdzo sia atutu Siriatɔwo tso afii yi afi mɛ va se ɖe esime woatsrɔ̃.”
And Zidkiah ye sonne of Chenaanah made him hornes of yron, and sayde, Thus sayth the Lord, With these shalt thou push the Aramites vntill thou hast consumed them.
11 Nyagblɔɖila bubuawo katã lɔ̃ ɖe edzi hegblɔ kple gbe ɖeka be, “Ẽ, yi Ramot Gilead eye àkpɔ dzidzedze elabena Yehowa ana nàɖu dzi.”
And all the Prophets prophesied so, saying, Go vp to Ramoth Gilead, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliuer it into the hand of the King.
12 Ame si yi ɖayɔ Mikaya la, gblɔ nya si dzɔ kple nya si nyagblɔɖilawo nɔ gbɔgblɔm be fia la aɖu dzi le aʋa la me la nɛ. Eyi edzi gblɔ na Mikaya be, “Mexɔe se be àƒo nu abe nyagblɔɖila mawo ene eye àkpɔ nyanyui aɖe agblɔ.”
And the messenger that went to call Michaiah, spake to him, saying, Beholde, the wordes of the Prophets declare good to the King with one accord: let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speake thou good.
13 Ke Mikaya gblɔ be, “Meta Mawu be, nya si Mawu gblɔ la ko magblɔ.”
And Michaiah saide, As the Lord liueth, whatsoeuer my God saith, that will I speake.
14 Esi Mikaya va ɖo fia la gbɔ la, fia la biae be, “Mikaya, ɖe míaho aʋa ɖe Ramot Gilead ŋu loo alo ɖe míanɔ anyi koa?” Mikaya ɖo eŋu be, “Miyi! Miaɖu dzi bɔbɔe!”
So he came to the King, and the King said vnto him, Michaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battel, or shall I leaue off? And he said, Goe yee vp, and prosper, and they shalbe deliuered into your hand.
15 Fia la biae be, “Zi neni magblɔ na wò be nàgblɔ nu si Yehowa ɖo na wò be nàgblɔ la ko?”
And the King sayd to him, Howe oft shall I charge thee, that thou tell mee nothing but the trueth in the Name of the Lord?
16 Mikaya gblɔ nɛ be, “Mekpɔ Israelviwo katã wokaka ɖe togbɛwo dzi abe alẽ siwo si kplɔla aɖeke mele o la ene eye Yehowa gblɔ nam be, ‘Kplɔla mele ame siawo si o; woneyi aƒe me le ŋutifafa me.’”
Then he said, I saw al Israel scattered in the mountaines, as sheepe that haue no shepheard: and the Lord sayd, These haue no Master: let them returne euery man to his house in peace.
17 Israel fia la gblɔ na Yehosafat be, “Nyemegblɔe na wò oa? Megblɔa nyanyui aɖeke nam gbeɖe o. Vɔ̃ kokoko wòkpɔna gblɔna ɖaa tso ŋunye.”
And the King of Israel sayde to Iehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee, that he would not prophesie good vnto me, but euill?
18 Mikaya yi edzi be, “Ɖo to nàse nya bubu si Yehowa gagblɔ nam la ɖa. Mekpɔ Yehowa le eƒe fiazikpui dzi eye dziƒoʋakɔ geɖewo le tsitre ɖe eƒe ɖusi kple mia dzi.
Againe hee saide, Therefore heare ye the worde of the Lord: I sawe the Lord sit vpon his throne, and all the hoste of heauen standing at his right hand, and at his left.
19 Yehowa gblɔ be, ‘Ame ka ate ŋu able Ahab, Israel fia, nu be wòaho aʋa ɖe Ramot Gilead ŋu eye wòakpɔ eƒe ku le afi ma?’ “Amewo do susu vovovowo ɖa.
And the Lord sayd, Who shall perswade Ahab King of Israel, that he may go vp, and fall at Ramoth Gilead? And one spake and said thus, and another said that.
20 Mlɔeba la, gbɔgbɔ aɖe do ɖe ŋgɔ, tsi tsitre ɖe Yehowa ŋkume eye wògblɔ be, ‘Mable enu ade eme.’ “Ke Yehowa bia be, ‘Aleke nawɔe?’
Then there came forth a spirit and stoode before the Lord, and said, I will perswade him. And the Lord said vnto him, Wherein?
21 “Eɖo eŋu be, ‘Mayi abe aʋatsokagbɔgbɔ ene, aɖo nume na eƒe nyagblɔɖilawo katã.’ “Yehowa gblɔ be, ‘Esia anyo eye wòadze edzi hã, yi, nàwɔ alea.’
And he saide, I will goe out, and bee a false spirit in the mouth of all his Prophets. And hee said, Thou shalt perswade, and shalt also preuaile: goe forth and do so.
22 “Yehowa de aʋatsokagbɔbgɔ nume na nyagblɔɖila siawo katã, ke nyateƒe lae nye be, Aƒetɔ la ɖo dzɔgbevɔ̃e ɖe ŋuwò.”
Now therefore behold, the Lord hath put a false spirit in the mouth of these thy Prophets, and the Lord hath determined euill against thee.
23 Tete Zedekiya, Kenana ƒe vi, gogo Mikaya eye wòƒo tome nɛ hebiae be, “Ɣe ka ɣie Yehowa ƒe Gbɔgbɔ dzo le gbɔnye eye wòƒo nu na wò?”
Then Zidkiah the sonne of Chenaanah came neere, and smote Michaiah vpon the cheeke, and sayde, By what way went the Spirit of the Lord from me, to speake with thee?
24 Mikaya ɖo eŋu be, “Àkpɔ ŋuɖoɖo na wò biabia sia ne èkpɔ be yebe ɖe xɔ emetɔ aɖe me.”
And Michaiah saide, Behold, thou shalt see that day when thou shalt goe from chamber to chamber to hide thee.
25 Israel fia ɖe gbe be, “Milé Mikaya eye miakplɔe yi na dumegã Amon kple vinye Yoas.
And the King of Israel sayde, Take ye Michaiah, and cary him to Amon the gouernour of the citie, and to Ioash the Kings sonne,
26 Migblɔ na wo be, ‘Fia la be miade ŋutsu sia gaxɔ me eye miana abolo kple tsi koe va se ɖe esime magbɔ le ŋutifafa me!’”
And say, Thus saith the King, Put this man in the prison house, and feede him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction vntil I returne in peace.
27 Mikaya ɖo eŋu be, “Ne ètrɔ gbɔ le ŋutifafa me la, ekema Yehowa meƒo nu to dzinye o.” Etrɔ ɖe ame siwo le tsitre le afi ma la gbɔ eye wògblɔ na wo be, “Mide dzesi nya si megblɔ.”
And Michaiah said, If thou returne in peace, the Lord hath not spoken by me. And he saide, Heare, all ye people.
28 Ale Israel fia kple Yuda fia kplɔ woƒe aʋakɔwo yi Ramot Gilead.
So the King of Israel and Iehoshaphat the King of Iudah went vp to Ramoth Gilead.

And the King of Israel said vnto Iehoshaphat, I will change my selfe, and enter into the battel: but put thou on thine apparel. So the King of Israel changed himselfe, and they went into the battel.
30 Aram fia de se na eƒe tasiaɖamdzikpɔlawo be, “Miɖe asi le ame sia ame ŋu eye miati Israel fia ɖeɖe ko yome!”
And the King of Aram had commanded the captaines of the charets that were with him, saying, Fight you not with small, nor great, but against the King of Israel onely.
31 Esi tasiaɖamkulawo ƒe amegãwo kpɔ Yehosafat la, wobu be, eya kokokoe nye Israel fia la. Ale wolũ ɖe edzi, ke Yehosafat do ɣli eye Yehowa xɔ nɛ. Ke Mawu ble wo dzoe le egbɔ
And when the captaines of the charets saw Iehoshaphat, they sayde, It is the King of Israel: and they compassed about him to fight. But Iehoshaphat cryed, and the Lord helped him and moued them to depart from him.
32 elabena esi wodze sii be menye eyae nye Israel fia la o ko la, wodzudzɔ eyometiti.
For when the captaines of the charets saw that hee was not the King of Israel, they turned backe from him.

Then a certaine man drewe a bowe mightily, and smote the King of Israel betweene the ioyntes of his brigandine: Therefore he saide to his charetman, Turne thine hand, and carie mee out of the host: for I am hurt.
