< Tesalonikatɔwo 1 3 >
1 Mlɔeba la, esi míate ŋu agado dzi o la, míeɖoe be míawo ɖeɖe míatsi Atene,
Why when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;
2 eye míeɖo Timoteo, mía nɔvi kple hadɔwɔla; Mawu ƒe dɔla si ɖea gbeƒã Kristo ƒe nyanyui la ɖe mi, be wòava do ŋusẽ miaƒe xɔse, eye wòade dzi ƒo na mi,
And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
3 ale be miate ŋu alé dzi ɖe ƒo le miaƒe fukpekpe siawo katã me. Gake mienya be fukpekpe mawo nye Mawu ƒe ɖoɖo ƒe akpa aɖe na mi kristotɔwo.
That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.
4 Esi míenɔ mia gbɔ gɔ̃ hã la, míegblɔe na mi do ŋgɔ be fukpekpe kple yometiti ava kpuie abe ale si wòva dzɔe ene.
For truly, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and you know.
5 Abe ale si megblɔ va yi ene la, esi míekpɔ be míaƒe mia gbɔ vava le megbe tsim akpa la, míeɖo Timoteo ɖa, be wòakpɔe ɖa be miaƒe xɔse gale te sesĩe mahã. Mevɔ̃ be ɖewohĩ tela va te mi kpɔ, eye míaƒe agbagbadzedzewo katã zu dzodzro.
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labor be in vain.
6 Azɔ la, Timoteo trɔ gbɔ, eye wòtsɔ dzidzɔnya sia vɛ na mí be miaƒe xɔse kpe lɔlɔ̃ le Aƒetɔ la me gale te sesĩe ko abe tsã ene, eye be mieɖoa ŋku míaƒe mia gbɔ vava dzi kple dzidzɔ, eye miedi vevie be yewoakpɔ mí abe ale si míawo hã míedi vevie be míakpɔ mi ene.
But now when Timotheus came from you to us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that you have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
7 Eya ta nɔvi lɔlɔ̃awo, míaƒe dziwo kpɔ akɔfafa, le míaƒe hiãwo kple fukpekpewo me le miaƒe xɔse ta.
Therefore, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
8 Elabena míenya azɔ be miele te sesĩe nyateƒetɔe le Aƒetɔ la me.
For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.
9 Aleke míawɔ ada akpe na Mawu wòade eteƒe ɖe mia ta, ɖe dzidzɔ si míekpɔ le míaƒe Mawu la ŋkume le mia ta?
For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy with which we joy for your sakes before our God;
10 Elabena zã kple keli la, míedoa gbe ɖa ɖe mia ta atraɖii; míebiaa Mawu be wòaɖe mɔ be míagakpɔ mi, ale be míate ŋu aɖe kuxi siwo aganɔ fu ɖem na miaƒe xɔse la ɖa.
Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?
11 Mawu mía Fofo la ŋutɔ kple míaƒe Aƒetɔ Yesu nagbugbɔ mí ɖo ɖe mia gbɔ
Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you.
12 eye Aƒetɔ la nawɔe be miaƒe lɔlɔ̃ na mia nɔewo nayɔ fũu agbã go abe ale si míaƒe lɔlɔ̃ na mi le la ene.
And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
13 Esia ana be Mawu mía Fofo la nana be miaƒe dziwo nakpɔ ŋusẽ, anɔ dzadzɛ, ale be miate ŋu ado ɖe eŋkume fɔɖiɖimanɔŋui nenye be míaƒe Aƒetɔ Yesu Kristo trɔ gbɔ kple eƒe ame kɔkɔewo. Amen.
To the end he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
