1 Le ƒe alafa ene blaenyilia me, le Israelviwo ƒe gododo le Egipte megbe, esi nye Solomo ƒe fiaɖuɖu le Israel ƒe ƒe enelia me le dzinu evelia, Zib me la, edze Yehowa ƒe gbedoxɔ la tutu gɔme.
Four hundred and eighty years after the Israelites left Egypt, in the fourth year of King Solomon's reign, in the month of Ziv, Solomon began building the Temple of the Lord.
2 Gbedoxɔ si Fia Solomo tu na Yehowa la didi mita blaeve-vɔ-adre, keke mita asiekɛ eye wòkɔ mita wuietɔ̃ kple afã.
The Temple King Solomon built for the Lord measured sixty cubits long by twenty cubits wide by thirty cubits high.
3 Akpata si le gbedoxɔ la ƒe dodonuxɔ nu la didi sɔ kple gbedoxɔ la ƒe kekeme, si ƒe kekeme nye mita asiekɛ eye wòdo ɖe gbedoxɔ la ŋgɔ mita ene kple afã.
The entrance room at the front of the Temple was twenty cubits wide. It ran the whole width of the Temple and projected out ten cubits in front of the Temple.
4 Ewɔ fesre suesue siwo ƒe nugbɔ lɔ ɖe gotagome la ɖe gbedoxɔ la ŋu.
He had latticed windows made to be placed high up in the Temple.
5 Le gbedoxɔ la ƒe akpata gã kple xɔ titinatɔ ƒe gliwo megbe la, woɖo gli siwo me xɔŋuxɔewo le la ɖi godoo va kpe.
He also had a structure built against the outer wall of the Temple, both the outer and the inner sanctuary, to provide a series of side rooms.
6 Xɔ anyigbatɔ keke mita eve kple afã, xɔ titinatɔ keke mita etɔ̃ kloe eye xɔ tametɔ keke mita etɔ̃ kple nu sue aɖe. Le gbedoxɔ la godo la, eɖo gli kpui ƒo xlãe ale be womaŋɔ gbedoxɔ la ƒe gli la atsɔ naneke ade eme o.
The ground floor measured five cubits wide, the first floor six cubits, and the second floor seven cubits. In addition he had offset ledges placed all the way around the outside, so that beams would not have to be inserted into the Temple walls.
7 Wokpa kpe siwo ŋu dɔ wowɔ le gbedoxɔ la tutu me la le kpekuƒe la, ale womese zu, fia alo dɔwɔnu bubu aɖeke ŋu dɔ wɔwɔ ƒe ɖiɖi le xɔa tuƒe o.
When the Temple was built the stones were finished at the quarry so that no noise from any hammer, ax, or any iron tool was heard in the Temple during construction.
8 Wotoa gbedoxɔ la ƒe dziehe gome gena ɖe axadzixɔ anyigbatɔawo me. Atrakpui gɔdɔ̃gɔdɔ̃wo tso anyigbatɔawo me yi xɔtaxɔ gbãtɔwo me. Bubuwo hã gatso xɔtaxɔ eveliawo me yi etɔ̃liawo me.
The entrance to the ground floor was on the south side of the Temple. Stairs led to the first floor, and then on to the second floor.
9 Esi wowu gbedoxɔa nu la, Solomo tsɔ sedati fa ɖe gliawo kple daɖedziawo kple sɔtiawo ŋu.
So Solomon finished building the Temple, covering it with a roof made of cedar rafters and planks.
10 Etu xɔŋuxɔewo ƒo xlã gbedoxɔ la, ɖe sia ɖe kɔ mita etɔ̃ eye wolé wo ɖe gbedoxɔ la ŋu kple sedatiwo.
He built the external structure along the whole of the Temple. It was five cubits high, joined to the Temple with cedar joists.
11 Yehowa ƒe nya va na Solomo be,
The Lord sent this message to Solomon, telling him,
12 “Le gbedoxɔ si tum nèle ŋu la, ne èzɔ ɖe nye ɖoɖowo nu, nèwɔ nye kɔnuwo dzi, ne èlé nye sewo me ɖe asi eye nèwɔ wo dzi la, ekema mato dziwò awɔ ŋugbe si medo na fofowò, David la dzi.
“About this Temple you are building: if you follow what I have said, fulfilling my requirements and keeping my commandments in what you do, I will keep the promise I made to your father David through you.
13 Manɔ Israelviwo dome eye nyemagblẽ wo ɖi akpɔ o.”
I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon Israel, my people.”
14 Ale Solomo wu gbedoxɔ la tutu nu mlɔeba.
Solomon finished building the Temple.
15 Efa sedaʋuƒowo ɖe gliawo ŋu le xɔawo me, tso anyigba ɖatɔ gbedoxɔ la ƒe dzisasã la eye wòɖo sesewuʋuƒowo ɖe gbedoxɔ la ƒe anyigba le xɔawo katã me.
He lined the walls with cedar panels from floor to ceiling and he covered the floor of the Temple with cypress boards.
16 Eɖe mita asiekɛ ɖe gbedoxɔ la megbe eye wòtsɔ sedaʋuƒowo ma teƒe si wòɖe ɖe megbe la me tso anyigba ɖatɔ xɔ la ƒe dzisasã be wòanye xɔ anɔ gbedoxɔ la me, esia nye Kɔkɔeƒe ƒe Kɔkɔeƒe.
He sectioned off twenty cubits at the rear of the Temple with boards of cedar from floor to ceiling, making an inner sanctuary as the Most Holy Place.
17 Akpata si le Kɔkɔeƒe ƒe Kɔkɔeƒe la nu la didi mita ene kple afã.
The main Temple in front of this room measured forty cubits long.
18 Le gbedoxɔ la me la, efa sedaʋuƒowo ɖe afi sia afi eye wòta goewo kple seƒoƒo siwo ke la ɖe ʋuƒoawo ŋu ale be nu sia nu si le gbedoxɔa me la nye sedaʋuƒo, gli aɖeke ŋuti medze o.
The cedar panels inside the Temple were decorated with carvings of gourds and open flowers. Everything was lined with cedar—none of the stone was visible.
19 Xɔ ememetɔ mee wotsɔ Aƒetɔ la ƒe nubablaɖaka la da ɖo.
He also had the inner sanctuary made within the Temple where the Ark of the Lord's Agreement would be placed.
20 Xɔ sia me didi mita asiekɛ, keke mita asiekɛ eye wòkɔ mita asiekɛ. Etsɔ sika nyuitɔ fa ɖe gliawo kple dzisasã la ŋu. Solomo tsɔ sedati wɔ vɔsamlekpui da ɖe xɔ sia me,
The inner sanctuary measured twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty cubits high. He had the interior covered with a coating with pure gold, as well as the altar of cedar.
21 Efa sika nyuitɔ ɖe gbedoxɔ la me, etsi sikakɔsɔkɔsɔ ɖe xɔ emetɔ ƒe ŋgɔgbe, afi si ŋu wòfa sika ɖo.
Solomon had the whole of the inside of the Temple covered with pure gold, He had gold chains stretched across the front of the inner sanctuary, which was also covered with gold.
22 Ale wòfa sika ɖe xɔ blibo la me. Efa sika ɖe vɔsamlekpui si le xɔa emetɔ me la hã ŋu.
He covered the whole inside of the Temple with a coating of gold until it was all finished. He also covered with gold the entire altar for the inner sanctuary.
23 Wotsɔ amiti kpa kerubi eve eye Solomo tsɔ wo da ɖe Kɔkɔeƒe ƒe Kɔkɔeƒe la me. Ɖe sia ɖe kɔ mita ene kple afã.
He had two cherubim made out of olive wood for the inner sanctuary, each one ten cubits tall.
24 Kerubi gbãtɔ ƒe aʋala ɖeka didi mita etɔ̃, aʋala evelia didi mita atɔ̃ eye tso woƒe aʋalawo ƒe nugbɔ yi aʋala bubu gbɔ le mita ade.
Both wings of the cherub measured five cubits, making a total wingspan of ten cubits.
25 Eda wo ɖi ale be ɖeka ƒe aʋala tɔ gli le afii eye evelia hã ƒe aʋala tɔ gli le afi mɛ.
The other cherub was also ten cubits tall, since they were identical both in size and shape.
26 Woƒe aʋala emetɔwo tɔ wo nɔewo le xɔ la titina.
Both cherubs were ten cubits tall.
27 Woƒe aʋala ɖeka didi afɔ adre kple afã ale kerubi ɖeka kple eƒe aʋalawo ƒe kekeme de afɔ wuiatɔ̃.
He had the cherubim placed inside the inner sanctuary of the Temple. Since their wings were fully spread, a wing of the first cherub touched one wall, a wing of the second cherub touched the other wall, and in the middle of the Temple their wings touched.
28 Kerubi eveawo sɔ goawo katã me. Efa sika ɖe ɖe sia ɖe ŋu.
The cherubim were also covered with a gold coating.
29 Ekpa kerubiwo, detiwo kple seƒoƒo siwo ke la ɖe gbedoxɔ la ƒe xɔ eveawo ƒe gliwo ŋu
He had all the Temple walls, both the inner and outer sanctuaries, carved with designs of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers.

He also had the floor of the Temple floor covered with gold, both the inner and outer sanctuaries.

He had doors of olive wood made for the entrance to the inner sanctuary, together with a lintel and doorposts that had five sides.
32 eye wòkpa Kerubiwo, detiwo, seƒoƒo siwo ke la ɖe mɔnu la ƒe ʋɔtru eve siwo wòkpa kple amiti la ŋu hafi fa sika ɖe wo katã ŋu.
These olive wood double doors had carved into them designs of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers. The cherubim and palm trees carvings were covered with beaten gold.
33 Solomo tsɔ amiti wɔ ʋɔtruti eve siwo ƒe kɔkɔme sɔ kple woƒe kekeme la, na gbedoxɔ la ƒe mɔnu.
Similarly he had four-sided doorposts of olive wood made for the entrance to the sanctuary.
34 Ewɔ ʋɔtru eve kple sesewuti eye wodana yia megbe le wo ɖokui si.
Its doors were made of cypress wood, each with two hinged panels.
35 Wokpa kerubiwo, detiwo kple seƒoƒo siwo ke la ɖe ʋɔtruawo ŋu eye wòfa sika ɖe wo ŋu.
He had them carved with designs of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and covered them with gold beaten evenly over the carvings.
36 Etsɔ kpe fufu ɖoɖo etɔ̃ kple sedaʋuƒo ɖoɖo ɖeka fa ɖe akpata emetɔwo ƒe gli ŋu.
Solomon had the inner courtyard built with three courses of dressed stone and one of cedar beams.
37 Woɖo gbedoxɔ la gɔme anyi le dzinu evelia me le Solomo ƒe fiaɖuɖu ƒe ƒe enelia me.
The foundation of the Lord's Temple was laid in the fourth year of Solomon's reign, in the month of Ziv.
38 Wowu xɔ blibo la tutu nu le Solomo ƒe fiaɖuɖu ƒe ƒe wuiɖekɛlia ƒe ɣleti enyilia, Bul me. Ale gbedoxɔ la tutu xɔ ƒe adre.
The Temple was finished exactly as specified and planned in Solomon's eleventh year, in the eighth month, the month of Bul. So it took him seven years to build the Temple.
