< Yohanes 1 1 >

1 Nu si li tso xexea me ƒe gɔmedzedze ke, nu si ŋkɔ míese, eye míekpɔ. Nu si míekpɔ kɔtɛe kple míaƒe ŋkuwo, eye míawo ŋutɔ míeka asi eŋu la, eya ƒe nya míele gbeƒã ɖem na mi be eyae nye Agbenya la.
We write to you about the Word of life, which has been in existence from the beginning. We write of what we have heard, of what we have seen with our eyes, of what we watched reverently and touched with our hands.
2 Agbe sia do, míekpɔe, míeɖia ɖase le eŋuti, eye míeɖea gbeƒã agbe mavɔ si le Fofoa gbɔ, eye wòdze na mí la na mi. (aiōnios g166)
That life was made visible, and we have seen it. We bear our testimony to it, and tell you of that eternal life which was with the Father and was made visible to us. (aiōnios g166)
3 Míeɖea gbeƒã nu si míekpɔ kple nu si míese la na mi be miawo hã miado ƒome kpli mí, eye míaƒe ƒomedodo sia li kple Fofo la kple Via Yesu Kristo.
It is of what we have seen and heard that we now tell you, so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
4 Míele esia ŋlɔm ɖo ɖe mi be miaƒe dzidzɔkpɔkpɔ nade blibo.
We are writing all this to you that our joy may be complete.
5 Azɔ la, esia nye gbedeasi si míese tso egbɔ, eye míele gbeƒã ɖemi na mi be, “Mawue nye kekeli, eye viviti aɖeke mele eme kura o.”
This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
6 Ne míegblɔ be míebɔa ha kplii, gake míegale viviti me zɔm la, ekema míenye alakpatɔwo, eye míele nyateƒe la dzi wɔm o.
If we say that we have fellowship with him and yet continue to walk in the darkness, our words and our lives are a lie.
7 Ke ne míezɔ le kekeli me abe ale si eya hã le kekeli me ene la, ekema míebɔ ha kple mia nɔewo, eye Yesu Kristo si nye Via ƒe ʋu aklɔ míaƒe nu vɔ̃ ɖe sia ɖe ɖa le mía ŋuti.
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
8 Ne míegblɔ be nu vɔ̃ mele mía ŋuti o la, ekema míele mía ɖokuiwo blem, eye nyateƒea mele mía me o.
If we say, ‘we have no sin,’ then we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 Gake ne míeʋu míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo me la, ekema Mawu si nye nuteƒewɔla kple dzɔdzɔetɔ la atsɔ míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ake mí, eye wòaklɔ madzɔmadzɔnyenye katã ɖa le mía ŋuti.
If we confess our sins, he is just and may be trusted to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all wrongdoing.
10 Ne míele gbɔgblɔm kokoko be míewɔ nu vɔ̃ o la, ekema míedo eya amea alakpatɔe, eye eƒe nya mexɔ aƒe ɖe mía me o.
If we say that we haven’t sinned, we make God a liar, and his Word is not in us.
