< Yohanes 1 4 >
1 Nɔvi lɔlɔ̃tɔwo, migaxɔ gbɔgbɔ ɖe sia ɖe ko dzi se o, ke boŋ mido gbɔgbɔwo kpɔ be wotso Mawu gbɔ hã. Elabena aʋatsonyagbɔɖila geɖewo kaka ɖe xexea me.
Do not believe every spirit, beloved, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God; for many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Ale si míatsɔ dze si Mawu ƒe Gbɔgbɔe nye esi: Gbɔgbɔ ɖe sia ɖe si ɖe gbeƒã be Yesu Kristo va le ŋutilã me la tso Mawu gbɔ.
By this you know the Spirit of God; every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is from God;
3 Ke Gbɔgbɔ ɖe sia ɖe si meɖea gbeƒã Yesu Kristo o la metso Mawu gbɔ o. Esiae nye Kristo ƒe futɔ ƒe gbɔgbɔ si mese be egbɔna eye fifia gɔ̃ hã la ele xexea me xoxo.
and every spirit which confesses him not, is not from God. And this is that spirit of Antichrist of which you have heard that it is coming, and that now it is already in the world.
4 Vinye lɔlɔ̃awo, miawo ya la, mienye Mawu viwo, eye mieɖu aʋatsonyagbɔɖila siawo dzi; elabena Gbɔgbɔ si le mia me la tri akɔ wu esi le xexea me.
My little children, you are of God and have conquered them; because he that is within you is greater than he that is in the world.
5 Wotso xexea me, eya ta woƒoa nu le xexea me ƒe nugɔmesese nu, eye xexea me ɖoa to wo.
They are of the world, and for this reason they speak as of the world, and the world listens to them.
6 Míawo ya míetso Mawu gbɔ, eye ame sia ame si nya Mawu la ɖoa to mí; ke ame si metso Mawu gbɔ o la meɖoa to mí o. Esiae na míedzea si Nyateƒegbɔgbɔ kple aʋatsogbɔgbɔ.
But you are of God. He who is beginning to know God listens to us; he who is not of God does not listen to us. By this we may distinguish the spirit of truth from the spirit of error.
7 Xɔ̃nye lɔlɔ̃wo, mina míalɔ̃ mía nɔewo, elabena Mawu gbɔe lɔlɔ̃ tsona. Ame sia ame si lɔ̃a ame la, wodzii tso Mawu me, eye wònya Mawu.
Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God; and every one that loves us a child of God.
8 Ame si melɔ̃a ame o la, menya Mawu o, elabena Mawu nye lɔlɔ̃.
He who does not love, does not know God; for God is love.
9 Ale si Mawu ɖe eƒe lɔlɔ̃ fia le mía dome lae nye: eɖo via ɖeka hɔ̃ɔ ɖe xexea me be míanɔ agbe to eya amea me.
In this was the love of God clearly shown toward us, by his sending his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
10 Esiae nye lɔlɔ̃ vavã, menye míawoe lɔ̃ Mawu o, ke boŋ le eƒe lɔlɔ̃ na mí ta wòɖo Via ɖa abe avulévɔsa le míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta ene.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.
11 Xɔ̃nye lɔlɔ̃tɔwo, le ale si Mawu lɔ̃ mí ta la, ele be míawo hã míalɔ̃ mía nɔewo.
If God so loved us, beloved, we also ought to love one another.
12 Ame aɖeke mekpɔ Mawu kpɔ o, ke ne míelɔ̃ mía nɔewo la, Mawu ƒe Gbɔgbɔ le mía me, eye eƒe lɔlɔ̃ ade blibo le mía me.
No man has ever gazed on God; but if we love one another, God ever abides in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 Míenyae bena míele agbe le eya amea me, eye eya hã le mía me, elabena etsɔ eƒe Gbɔgbɔ de mía me.
By this we come to know that we are abiding in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit;
14 Míekpɔe, eye míeɖi ɖase be Fofo la ɖo Via ɖa be wòanye xexea me ƒe Ɖela.
and we have beheld and do testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Ame sia ame si aɖe gbeƒã be Yesue nye Mawu Vi la la, Mawu le eya amea me, eye eya hã le Mawu me.
If any man confesses that "Jesus is the Son of God." God is abiding in that man, and he in God.
16 Eye míawo míedze si lɔlɔ̃ si Mawu tsɔ lɔ̃a mi, eye míexɔ edzi se. Mawue nye lɔlɔ̃, eye ame si nɔa lɔlɔ̃ me la, eya nɔa Mawu me, eye Mawu hã nɔa eya me.
And we do know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love; and he who is abiding in love is abiding in God, and God is abiding in him.
17 Ewɔ míaƒe lɔlɔ̃ wòde blibo le mía dome, ale be dzideƒo nanɔ mía si le ʋɔnudrɔ̃ŋkekea dzi, elabena míaƒe agbenɔnɔ le xexe sia me sɔ kple etɔ.
In this is love made perfect with us, so that we may have cheerful confidence in the Day of Judgment, because we are living in this world as He lives.
18 Vɔ̃vɔ aɖeke menɔa lɔlɔ̃ me o, ke boŋ lɔlɔ̃ vavãtɔ nyaa vɔvɔ̃ ɖe sia ɖe ɖa. Elabena vɔvɔ̃ ku ɖe tohehe ŋu. Ame si vɔ̃na la ƒe lɔlɔ̃ mede blibo o.
Fear does not exist in love; but love, when it is perfect, drives out fear. For fear has always torment, and he who has fear is not yet perfected in love.
19 Míelɔ̃ mía nɔewo, elabena Mawu tre mía lɔlɔ̃.
We love because He loved us first.
20 Ne ame aɖe ƒo adegbe be, “Melɔ̃ Mawu,” ke wòléa fu nɔvia la, enye alakpatɔ, elabena ame sia ame si melɔ̃a nɔvia, ame si kpɔm wòle o la, mate ŋu alɔ̃ Mawu ame si mekpɔna o.
If any one says, "I love God," and yet hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot possibly love God, whom he has not seen.
21 Mawu ŋutɔ de se na mí be ame si lɔ̃a Mawu la nelɔ̃ nɔvia hã.
And we have this command from God. HE WHO LOVES GOD IS TO LOVE HIS BROTHER ALSO.
