< Yohanes 1 2 >

1 Vinye lɔlɔ̃awo, mele esia ŋlɔm ɖo ɖe mi be miagawɔ nu vɔ̃ o. Gake ne ame aɖe wɔ nu vɔ̃ la, Yesu Kristo si nye Kɔkɔetɔ la li na mí, eye aƒo nu aʋli mía ta le Fofo la gbɔ.
My children, I am writing to you to keep you from sinning; but if any one should sin, we have one who can plead for us with the Father — Jesus Christ, the Righteous —
2 Eyae nye avulévɔsa ɖe míaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ta, eye menye míawo ɖeɖe ko tɔ tae o, ke boŋ ɖe xexea me blibo la ƒe nu vɔ̃wo hã ta.
and he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but for those of the whole world besides.
And by this we know that we have learned to know him — by our laying his commands to heart.
The man who says ‘I know Jesus,’ but does not lay his commands to heart, is a liar, and the Truth has no place in him;
5 Gake ne ame aɖe wɔa eƒe nya dzi la, Mawu ƒe lɔlɔ̃ de blibo le eya amea me vavã. Eye aleae míawɔ anya be míele eya amea me:
but, whenever a man lays his Message to heart, in that man the love of God has indeed reached its perfection. By this we know that we are in union with God —
6 ame si gblɔ be yele eya amea me la, nanɔ agbe abe ale si Yesu hã nɔ agbee ene.
He who professes to maintain union with God is himself bound to live as Christ lived.
7 Xɔ̃nye lɔlɔ̃awo, nyemele se yeye aɖeke ŋlɔm na mi le agbalẽ sia me o, ke boŋ se xoxo ma si nɔ anyi tso gɔmedzedzea me la koe. Sedede xoxo siae nye gbedeasi si miese xoxo.
Dear friends, it is no new command that I am writing to you, but an old command, which you have had from the first. That old command is the Message to which you listened.
Yet, again, it is a new Command that I am writing to you — manifest in Christ’s life and in your own — for the Darkness is passing away and the true Light is already shining.
9 Ne ame aɖe agblɔ be yele kekeli la me, gake wòléa fu nɔvia la, ekema ame sia gale viviti me kokoko.
He who says that he is in the Light, and yet hates his Brother, is in the Darkness even now.
10 Ame si lɔ̃a nɔvia la ƒe agbenɔnɔ nye kekeli eye naneke mele eƒe agbe me si ana be wòakli nu o.
He who loves his Brother is always in the Light, and there is nothing within him to cause him to stumble;
11 Gake ne ame aɖe lé fu nɔvia la, ekema ame sia le viviti me, eye wòzɔna le viviti me, eye menya afi si wòɖo tae o, elabena viviti la tsyɔ mo nɛ.
while he who hates his Brother is in the Darkness, and is living in the Darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the Darkness prevents his seeing.
12 Meŋlɔe na mi, vinye lɔlɔ̃awo, Elabena wotsɔ miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo ke mi Le eƒe ŋkɔ la ta.
I am writing, Children, to you, because your sins have been forgiven you for Christ’s sake.
13 Meŋlɔe na mi, fofowo, Elabena mienya eya ame si nɔ anyi tso gɔmedzedzea me ke. Meŋlɔe na mi, ɖekakpuiwo, Elabena mieɖu vɔ̃ɖitɔ la dzi.
I am writing, Fathers, to you, because you have learned to know him who has been from the Beginning. I am writing, Young Men, to you, because you have conquered the Evil One. I write, Children, to you, because you have learned to know the Father.
Meŋlɔe na mi, fofowo, Elabena mienya eya ame si nɔ anyi tso gɔmedzedzea me ke. Meŋlɔe na mi, ɖekakpuiwo, Elabena miesẽ ŋu, Mawu ƒe nya la le mia me, Eye mieɖu vɔ̃ɖitɔ la dzi.
I write, Fathers, to you, because you have learned to know him who has been from the Beginning. I write, Young Men, to you, because you are strong, and God’s Message is always in your hearts, and you have conquered the Evil One.
Do not love the world or what the world can offer. When any one loves the world, there is no love for the Father in him;
for all that the world can offer — the gratification of the earthly nature, the gratification of the eye, the pretentious life — belongs, not to the Father, but to the world.
17 Xexea me kple eƒe didiwo nu ava yi, gake ame si wɔa Mawu ƒe lɔlɔ̃nu la nɔa agbe tegbee. (aiōn g165)
And the world, and all that it gratifies, is passing away, but he who does God’s will remains for ever. (aiōn g165)
18 Vi lɔlɔ̃awo, míege ɖe gaƒoƒo mamlɛatɔ me: eye abe ale si miese xoxo be Kristo ƒe futɔ la gbɔna vava ge ene la, fifi laa la, Kristo ƒe futɔ geɖewo va ɖo xoxo. Esiae na be míenya be gaƒoƒo alo ɣeyiɣi mamlɛtɔ ɖo.
My Children, these are the last days. You were told that an Anti-Christ was coming; and many Anti-Christs have already arisen. By that we know that these are the last days.
Woƒe dzodzo fia kɔtɛe be wo dometɔ aɖeke menɔ mía dzi o.
From us, it is true, they went out, but they had never belonged to us; for, if they had belonged to us, they would have remained among us. They left us that it might be made clear that they do not, any of them, belong to us.
20 Ke miawo la, Kɔkɔetɔ la ƒe ami sisi le mia dzi, eye mia dometɔ ɖe sia ɖe nya nyateƒe la.
You, however, have received consecration from the Holy One.
21 Nyemeŋlɔ agbalẽa ɖo ɖe mi ɖe esi mienya nyateƒe la ta o, ke boŋ be mienya nyateƒe la, elabena alakpa mate ŋu ado tso nyateƒe me o.
You all know — But I am not writing to you because you do not know the Truth, but because you do know it, and because nothing false can come from the Truth.
22 Ame kae nye aʋatsokala la? Ame si gblɔ be menye Yesue nye Kristo o lae. Ame siae nye Yesu ƒe futɔ si gbea nu le Fofo la kple Vi la gbɔ.
Who is a liar, if not the man who rejects the truth that Jesus is the Christ? He is the Anti-Christ — The man who rejects the Father and the Son.
23 Ame si gbe nu le Vi la gbɔ la, menya Fofo la hã o; ke ame si xɔ Vi la la, eya amea xɔ Fofo la hã.
No one who rejects the Son has found the Father; he who acknowledges the Son has found the Father also.
24 Ke miawo la, mikpɔ egbɔ be mielé nu si miese tso gɔmedzedzea me la ɖe asi. Ne miewɔ esia la, ekema miayi edzi anɔ Vi la kple Fofo la me.
As for you, let what you were told at the first be always in your thoughts. If, then, what you were told at the first is always in your thoughts, you yourselves will maintain your union both with the Son and with the Father.
25 Eye nu si ƒe ŋugbe wòdo na mí lae nye agbe mavɔ la. (aiōnios g166)
And this is what he himself promised us — The Immortal Life!
In writing thus to you, I have in mind those who are trying to mislead you.
27 Ke miawo la, amisisi si miexɔ tso egbɔ la nɔa mia me, eye megahiã be ame aɖeke nafia nu mi o, elabena eƒe ami sisi la fiaa nu mi tso nuwo katã ŋuti, eye esi ami sisi sia nye nyateƒetɔ, eye menye aʋatsotɔ o ta la, minɔ eya amea me, abe ale si wòfia mi ene.
But you — you still retain in your hearts that consecration which you received from the Christ, and are not in need of any one to teach you; but, since his consecration of you teaches you about everything, and since it is a real consecration, and no lie, then, as it has taught you, maintain your union with him.
28 Azɔ la, vinye lɔlɔ̃awo, minɔ agbe le eya amea me, elabena kakaɖedzi anɔ mía si, eye ŋu makpe mí le eŋkume le eƒe vavaŋkekea dzi o.
Yes, my Children, maintain your union with Christ, so that, whenever he appears, our confidence may not fail us, and we may not be ashamed to meet him at his coming.
29 Ne mienyae be enye dzɔdzɔetɔ la, ekema ame sia ame si wɔa nu dzɔdzɔe la nye via.
Knowing him to be righteous, you realise that every one who lives righteously has received the new Life from him.
