< Korintotɔwo 1 11 >
1 Mito nye afɔtoƒe abe ale si nye hã mezɔa Kristo ƒe afɔtoƒe ene.
Be imitators of me, as I am an imitator of Christ.
2 Nɔvi lɔlɔ̃tɔwo, enye dzidzɔ nam be mielé nu siwo katã mefia mi la me ɖe asi sesĩe eye miele wɔwɔm ɖe wo dzi pɛpɛpɛ. Miedze na kafukafu!
Indeed I praise you for remembering me in everything, and because you are holding fast to the traditions just as you received them.
3 Ke medi be maɖo ŋku nu ɖeka aɖe dzi na mi. Eyae nye be srɔ̃nyɔnu ɖe sia ɖe ƒe tatɔe nye srɔ̃ŋutsu, eye srɔ̃ŋutsu hã ƒe tatɔe nye Kristo, eye Mawu hã nye tatɔ na Kristo.
But I wish you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, and of a wife her husband is head; and that God is head of Christ.
4 Esia ta menyo be ŋutsu natsyɔ nu ta ne wòle gbe dom ɖa alo le nya gblɔm ɖi o, elabena nuwɔna sia medea bubu eƒe tatɔ Kristo ŋu o.
Every man who prays or prophesies with head veiled dishonors his Head;
5 Nenema ke ne nyɔnu aɖe metsyɔ nu ta hafi le gbe dom ɖa alo le nya gblɔm ɖi le amewo dome o la, ekema edo ŋukpe gã aɖe srɔ̃a, elabena efia be mebɔbɔ eɖokui na srɔ̃a o.
but every woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled dishonors her head (her husband). for it is one and the same thing as if she were shaven.
6 Ne nyɔnu gbe be yematsyɔ nu ta o la, ekema neko ta boŋ. Ke esi wònye ŋukpe be nyɔnu nako ta la, ele be wòatsyɔ nu eƒe ta boŋ.
If a woman does not wear a veil, let her also cut off her hair; now if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her be veiled.
7 Mehiã be ŋutsu ya natsyɔ nu ta o, elabena esia nye eɖokui dada ɖe anyi. Ŋutsue nye Mawu ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe elabena Mawu ŋutɔ ƒe nɔnɔme me wòwɔe ɖo, eye nyɔnu hã nye ŋutsu ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe.
A man, indeed, ought not to have his head veiled, for he is an image and glory of God; but woman is a glory of man.
8 Ŋutsu gbãtɔ si Mawu wɔ ɖe xexea me la medo go tso nyɔnu me o, ke boŋ nyɔnue do go tso ŋutsua me.
For it is not man who was made from woman, but woman was made from man.
9 Hekpe ɖe esia ŋuti la, Mawu mewɔ Adam na Eva o, ke boŋ Evae Mawu wɔ na Adam,
And man was not created for woman, but woman for man.
10 eya ta ele be nyɔnu natsyɔ nu eƒe ta atsɔ afia be yele ye srɔ̃ ƒe ŋusẽ te, eye abe ɖaseɖiɖi na mawudɔlawo ene.
For this reason the woman ought to have authority over her head, because of her guardian angels.
11 Gake minyae nyuie be Mawu ƒe ɖoɖoe nye be ŋutsu kple nyɔnu siaa hiã na wo nɔewo le woƒe agbenɔnɔ me.
However, in the Lord neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman;
12 Elabena togbɔ be nyɔnu gbãtɔ do go tso ŋutsu me hã la, tso ɣe ma ɣi dzi va se ɖe fifia la, ŋutsuwo do go tso nyɔnu me, eye wo katã tso Mawu, woƒe Wɔla gbɔ.
for just as the woman was made from the man, so also is the man born of the woman, while they both come from God.
13 Midrɔ̃e le miawo ŋutɔ mia ɖokui me kpɔ be enyo be nyɔnu naɖe eƒe ta ɖi ƒuƒlu ko anɔ gbe dom ɖa na Mawua?
Judge of this for your own selves. It is fitting that a woman should pray to God with her head unveiled.
14 Ɖe dzɔdzɔme ŋutɔ mefia mi be enye ŋukpe be ɖa legbe nanɔ ŋutsu ta oa?
Nor does nature itself teach you that it is a disgrace to a man to have long hair,
15 Ke enye bubu na nyɔnu be ɖa legbe nanɔ eta elabena ɖa legbe li nɛ ɖe tatsyɔnu teƒe.
but it is woman’s glory, because her hair has been given her instead of a veil.
16 Nyemedi be ame aɖeke nanɔ nya hem le nu sia ŋu fũu o, elabena nu si ko fiam míele lae nye be ele be nyɔnu natsyɔ nu ta ne wòle gbe dom ɖa alo ne wòle nya gblɔm ɖi le amewo dome. Mawu ƒe hame bubuawo katã lɔ̃ ɖe ɖoɖo sia dzi.
If, however, any one is inclined to be disputatious regarding such a custom, let him know that neither I nor the churches of God hold to such a custom.
But in giving you the following instructions, I cannot praise you; your solemn assemblies do more harm than good.
18 Mese be nyahehe vivivo, dzrewɔwɔ kple mama ɖe ha kukluiwo me sɔŋ koe nye nu si dzɔna le hame la me. Mexɔe se hã be nu siawo le eme vavã.
To begin with, I am told - and I believe there is some truth in it - that when you meet at a church there are divisions among you.
19 Enyo be mama va mia dome, be ame siwo li ke le Mawu me la nadze ċa le mia dome.
For there must needs be also parties among you, in order that the good may be tested and made known.
20 Azɔ ne mieva ƒo ƒu ɖe teƒe ɖeka hele nu ɖum la, menye Aƒetɔ ƒe Nuɖuɖu Kɔkɔe la ɖuɖue nye ema o.
Again, when you meet together, there is no true eating of the Lord’s Supper;
21 Mese be nu si dzɔna lae nye be ne miesɔ be yewoaɖu nu la, ame aɖewo mekpɔa naneke tsɔna vanɛ o. Ame aɖewo ya tsɔa nu geɖewo vanɛ. Ame siawo ɖua nu siwo woawo ŋutɔ tsɔ vɛ la katã, eye wonoa aha muna. Evɔ la, ame aɖewo ya nɔa dɔmeɣi.
for each one of you begins to eat his own supper; one goes hungry, while another gets drunk.
22 Nu ka! Enye nyateƒe be nu siawo le edzi yim le mia domea? Miate ŋu aɖu nu alo ano nu le aƒe me oa? Ɖe wòle be miado ŋukpe Mawu ƒe hamea eye miaɖi gbɔ̃ ame siwo si naneke mele oa? Esi miele esia wɔm la, ɖe miedi be makafu yewoa? Gbeɖe, nyemakafu mi akpɔ o.
What! Have you no houses in which to eat or drink? or do you wish to show your contempt for the church of God, and to shame those who have no homes to eat in? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this I certainly do not praise you.
23 Elabena megblɔ nu si tututu Aƒetɔ la ŋutɔ gblɔ le Nuɖuɖu Kɔkɔe la ŋu na mi xoxo eye eyae nye be: Le zã si me wodee asi la, Aƒetɔ Yesu tsɔ abolo ɖe asi,
For I passed on to you the account, which I myself received from the Lord; how the Lord Jesus, on the very night he was betrayed, took bread,
Miwɔ esia ne miatsɔ aɖo ŋku dzinye.”
and when he had given thanks, he broke it, saying, "This is my body, broken for you; this do in memory of me."
In the same way also, he took the cup after supper, saying. "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in memory of me."
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are proclaiming your Lord’s death until he come.
27 Eya ta ne ame aɖe aɖu abolo sia eye wòano nu le Aƒetɔ la ƒe kplu sia nu madzemadzee la, ekema awɔ nu vɔ̃ ɖe Aƒetɔ ƒe ŋutilã kple ʋu la ŋu.
So he that eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthy must answer for a sin against the body and blood of the Lord.
28 Eya ta ele vevie be ame nadzro eɖokui me akpɔ nyuie hafi aɖu abolo sia, eye wòano nu le Aƒetɔ ƒe kplu la nu.
Let each man scrutinize himself, and thus let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
For whoever eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks condemnation to himself.
30 Esiae na be mia dometɔ geɖewo gbɔdzɔ le ŋutilã me, ɖewo le dɔ lém eye ɖewo ku gɔ̃ hã.
This is why many among you are feeble and sickly, and many sleep.
31 Ne miedzro mia ɖokuiwo me kpɔ nyuie hafi ɖu Aƒetɔ ƒe Nuɖuɖu Kɔkɔea la, ekema ʋɔnudɔdrɔ̃ alo tohehe aɖeke meli na mi o.
If however, we were judging ourselves aright, we should not now be condemned;
32 Ke ne Mawu drɔ̃ ʋɔnu mi, eye wòhe to na mi la, ɖe wòwɔe be womagabu fɔ mi abe xexea me tɔ mamlɛawo ene o.
but through our condemnation by the Lord, we are trained so that we may not be condemned;
33 Eya ta nɔvi lɔlɔ̃tɔwo, ne mieva be yewoaɖu Aƒetɔ ƒe Nuɖuɖu Kɔkɔea la, milala va se ɖe esime ame sia ame va ƒo ƒu hafi miadze egɔme.
So, my brothers, whenever you come together for this meal, wait for one another.
34 Ne dɔ le ame aɖe wum vevie la, ekema neɖu nu le aƒe me kpoo, ale be eƒe nuwɔna magahe tohehe va edzii o. Nɔviwo, ne meva ɖo mia gbɔ hã, míalé nya mamlɛawo akpɔ.
If any one is hungry, let him eat at home, so that your meetings do not bring condemnation upon you. The other matters I will adjust when I come.
