And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.

— And Canaan begot Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

— And Arphaxad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.

And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

And Abraham begot Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

And the sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
39 Lotan ƒe viwoe nye Hori kple Homam. Timna nye Lotan nɔvinyɔnu.
— And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. And Lotan's sister, Timna.
40 Sobal ƒe viŋutsuwoe nye: Alvan, Manahat, Ebal, Sefo kple Onam. Zibeon ƒe viwoe nye: Aya kple Ana.
— The sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi and Onam. — And the sons of Zibeon: Ajah and Anah.
41 Ana ƒe vie nye: Dison, ame si dzi Hamran, Esban, Itran kple Keran.
— The sons of Anah: Dishon. — And the sons of Dishon: Hamran, and Eshban, and Jithran, and Cheran.
42 Ezer ƒe viwoe nye: Bilhan, Zaavan kple Yaakan. Disan ƒe viwoe nye: Uz kple Aran.
— The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, [and] Jaakan. — The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
43 Ame siwo ɖu fia le Edom hafi woɖo Israel fiaɖuƒe la gɔme anyi la woe nye: Bela, Beor ƒe vi. Du si me wònɔ la ŋkɔe nye Dinhaba.
And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before there reigned a king over the children of Israel: — Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
44 Esi Bela ku la, Yobab, Zera ƒe vi, tso Bozra zu fia.
And Bela died; and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
45 Esi Yobab ku la, Husam tso Temanitɔwo ƒe anyigba dzi ɖu fia ɖe eteƒe,
And Jobab died; and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

And Husham died; and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the fields of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

And Hadad died; and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
48 Le Samla ƒe ku megbe la, Siaul tso Rehobot, du si le tɔsisi aɖe ŋu la ɖu fia ɖe eteƒe.
And Samlah died; and Saul of Rehoboth on the river reigned in his stead.
49 Le Siaul ƒe ku megbe la, Baal Hanan, Akbor ƒe vi ɖu fia ɖe eteƒe.
And Saul died; and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
50 Esi Baal Hanan ku la, Hadad ɖu fia ɖe eteƒe eye eƒe fiadue nye Pau. Hadad srɔ̃e nye Mehetabel, dadae nye Matred, ame si dadae nye Me-Zahab.
And Baal-hanan died; and Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel the daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezahab.
51 Hadad hã va ku. Edom fiawo le Hadad ƒe ku megbe nye: Timna, Alva, Yetet
And Hadad died. And the chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Aliah, chief Jetheth,
52 Oholibama, Ela, Pinon,

53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,

chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
