David made him houses in the City of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

Then David said, "No one ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites. For Jehovah has chosen them to carry the ark of God, and to minister to him forever."
3 Le esia megbe la, David yɔ Israel dukɔ blibo la va Yerusalem be woaɖatsɔ Yehowa ƒe nubablaɖaka la va da ɖe teƒe si wòdzra ɖo ɖi nɛ.
David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of Jehovah to its place, which he had prepared for it.
4 Eyɔ Aron ƒe dzidzimeviwo kple Levitɔwo ƒo ƒu:
David gathered together the sons of Aaron, and the Levites:
5 Ame alafa ɖeka blaeve tso Kohat ƒe viwo dome, woƒe Nunɔlae nye Uriel.

11 David yɔ Zadok kple Abiata, ame siwo nye Nunɔlagãwo kple Uriel, Asaya, Yoel, Semaya, Eliel kple Aminadab, ame siwo nye Levi ƒe viwo ƒe kplɔlawo
David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
12 eye wògblɔ na wo be, “Miawoe nye Levitɔwo ƒe kplɔlawo. Azɔ la, mi kple mia nɔviwo katã mikɔ mia ɖokuiwo ŋu ale be miatsɔ Yehowa, Israel ƒe Mawu la ƒe nubablaɖaka la va teƒe si medzra ɖo ɖi nɛ.
and said to them, "You are the heads of the ancestral houses of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel, to the place that I have prepared for it.
For because you were not prepared the first time, Jehovah our God made an outbreak against us, because we did not seek him according to the ordinance."
14 Ale Nunɔlawo kple Levitɔwo kɔ wo ɖokuiwo ŋuti hedzra ɖo ɖe Yehowa, Israel ƒe Mawu la ƒe nubablaɖaka la tsɔtsɔ gbɔe ŋu.
So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel.
15 Levitɔwo tsɔ nubablaɖaka la ɖe abɔta kple etsɔtiwo abe ale si Yehowa ɖo na Mose ene la tututu.
The descendants of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of Jehovah.
16 Fia David na Levitɔwo ƒo ƒu hadzilawo nu eye wodzi ha sesĩe kple dzidzɔ ɖe saŋkuwo, kasaŋkuwo kple gakogoewo ƒe ɖiɖi ŋu.
David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers, with instruments of music, stringed instruments and harps and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up the voice with joy.
17 Ame siwo kpɔ hadzidzi kple nu siwo woƒo kpe ɖe eŋu dzi la woe nye Heman, Yoel ƒe vi kple Asaf, Berekia ƒe vi kple Etan, Kusaya ƒe vi, tso Merari ƒe viwo dome.
So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18 Woƒe kpeɖeŋutɔwoe nye Zekaria, Yaaziel, Semiramɔt, Yehiel, Uni, Eliab, Benaya, Maaseya, Matitia, Elifelehu, Mikneya, Obed Edom kple Yeiel, ame siwo nye agbonudzɔlawo.
and with them their brothers of the second degree, Zechariah, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah were doorkeepers.
19 Wotia Heman, Asaf kple Etan be woaƒo akɔbligakogoewo
So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were given cymbals of bronze to sound aloud;
20 eye wotia ame enyi siawo: Zekaria, Ariel, Semiramɔt, Yehiel, Uni, Eliab, Maaseya kple Benaya be woaƒo kasaŋku gbevitɔwo ɖe alamot ƒe gbeɖiɖi nu.
and Zechariah, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;
21 Ame siwo wotia be woaƒo kasaŋku gbegãtɔwo ɖe seminit ƒe gbeɖiɖi nu woe nye: Matitia, Elifelehu, Mikneya, Obed Edom, Yeiel kple Azazia.
and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.
22 Hadoɖalae nye Kenania, Levitɔwo Nunɔla; wotiae ɖe eƒe nunya ta.
Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful.
23 Berekia kple Elkana nye nubablaɖaka la ŋu dzɔlawo.
Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
24 Sebania, Yosafat, Netanel, Amasai, Zekaria, Benaya kple Eliezer, ame siwo katã nye nunɔlawo la, nye kpẽkulawo eye wonɔ ŋgɔ na ameawo katã. Obed Edom kple Yehia dzɔ nubablaɖaka la ƒe agbo ŋu.
Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25 Ale David kple Israel ƒe dumegãwo kple ame akpewo ƒe aʋafiawo yi Obed Edom ƒe aƒe me be woatsɔ Yehowa ƒe nubablaɖaka la tso afi ma kple aseyetsotso.
So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.
26 Esi Yehowa kpe ɖe Levitɔ siwo tsɔ Yehowa ƒe nubablaɖaka la ŋu ta la, wotsɔ nyitsu adre kple agbo adre sa vɔe.
It happened, when God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, that they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
27 Azɔ la, David do awu ʋlaya si wotɔ kple aklala biɖibiɖi; nenema kee nye Levitɔ siwo tsɔ nubablaɖaka la. Nenema kee nye hadzilawo kple Kenania hã, ame si nɔ hadzihawo nu. David ya do aklala si nɔ biɖibiɖi ƒe kɔmewu ɖe etɔ dzi.
David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: and David had on him an ephod of linen.
28 Ale Israel katã tsɔ dzidzɔɣlidodo, lãdzowo kple kpẽwo kuku, gakogoewo kple saŋkuwo kple kasaŋkuwo ƒoƒo sesĩe tsɔ Yehowa ƒe nubablaɖaka la yi Yerusalem.
Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding aloud with stringed instruments and harps.
29 Esi Yehowa ƒe nubablaɖaka la va ɖo David ƒe Du la me la, Saul ƒe vinyɔnu, Mixal, nɔ wo kpɔm to fesre nu eye esi wòkpɔ Fia David wònɔ ɣe ɖum, nɔ aglo tum kple dzidzɔ la, edo vloe le eƒe dzime.
It happened, as the ark of the covenant of Jehovah came to the City of David, that Mikal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
