Romanoj 14
1 Sed akceptu malfortulon en fido, tamen ne por dubaj disputadoj.
Him that is weak in his faith receive with kindness, and not to pass judgment on his thoughts.
2 Unu homo kredas, ke li povas ĉion manĝi; sed alia, estante malforta, manĝas legomojn.
One man hath faith to eat every kind of food; another, who is weak, eateth herbs only.
3 Kiu manĝas, tiu ne malestimu tiun, kiu ne manĝas; kaj kiu ne manĝas, tiu ne juĝu tiun, kiu manĝas; ĉar Dio lin akceptis.
Let not him who eateth, despise him that eateth not; and let not him who eateth not, judge him that eateth; for God hath received him.
4 Kiu estas vi, ke vi juĝas la servanton de alia? antaŭ sia propra sinjoro li staras aŭ falas. Li ja estos starigita, ĉar la Sinjoro povas lin starigi.
Who art thou that judgest the servant of another? To his own lord he standeth or falleth; and he shall be made to stand; for the Lord is able to make him stand.
5 Unu juĝas unu tagon pli alte ol alian, alia egale juĝas ĉiun tagon. Ĉiu homo konvinkiĝu en sia menso.
One man esteemeth one day above another; another esteemeth every day alike: let each one be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it to the Lord;
6 Kiu observas la tagon, tiu observas ĝin al la Sinjoro; kaj la manĝanto manĝas al la Sinjoro, ĉar li dankas Dion; kaj la nemanĝanto nemanĝas al la Sinjoro, kaj li dankas Dion.
and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. And he that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth thanks to God; and he that doth not eat, to the Lord he doth not eat, and giveth thanks to God.
7 Ĉar neniu el ni vivas al si mem, kaj neniu mortas al si mem.
For none of us liveth to himself, and no one dieth to himself.
8 Ĉar se ni vivas, ni vivas al la Sinjoro, kaj se ni mortas, ni mortas al la Sinjoro; ĉu ni vivas do, aŭ mortas, al la Sinjoro ni apartenas.
For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Whether then we live or die, we are the Lord's.
9 Ĉar por tio Kristo mortis kaj viviĝis, por esti Sinjoro de la mortintoj kaj de la vivantoj.
For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living.
10 Sed vi, kial vi juĝas vian fraton? kaj vi, kial vi malestimas vian fraton? ĉar ni ĉiuj staros antaŭ la tribunala seĝo de Dio.
But thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? And thou, too, why dost thou despise thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment-seat of God.
11 Ĉar estas skribite: Kiel Mi vivas, diras la Eternulo, antaŭ Mi kliniĝos ĉiu genuo, Kaj ĉiu lango gloros Dion.
For it is written, “As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall give praise to God.”
12 Tial do ĉiu el ni respondos al Dio pri si mem.
So then every one of us will give account of himself to God.
13 Tial ni ne plu juĝu unu alian; sed prefere ni juĝu, ke neniu metu en la vojo de sia frato faligilon aŭ ian ofendilon.
Let us then no longer judge one another; but let this rather be your judgment, not to put a stumbling-block, or an occasion to fall, in a brother's way.
14 Mi scias, kaj konvinkiĝis en la Sinjoro Jesuo, ke nenio estas malpura per si; sed por tiu, kiu opinias ion malpura, ĝi estas malpura.
I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself; but to him that accounteth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
15 Ĉar se pro manĝaĵo via frato ĉagreniĝas, vi jam ne iradas en amo. Ne pereigu per via manĝaĵo tiun, por kiu Kristo mortis.
For if on account of food thy brother is made to mourn, thou art no longer walking according to love. Do not with thy food destroy him for whom Christ died.
16 Via bono do ne estu kalumniita;
Let not then the blessing which ye enjoy be evil spoken of.
17 ĉar la regno de Dio estas ne manĝado kaj trinkado, sed justeco kaj paco kaj ĝojo en la Sankta Spirito.
For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit;
18 Ĉar tiu, kiu en tio servas Kriston, plaĉas al Dio, kaj estas aprobata de homoj.
for he who in this matter serveth Christ is well-pleasing to God, and approved by men.
19 Ni do celu tion, kio apartenas al paco kaj al reciproka edifo.
Let us then strive to promote peace, and the edification of each other.
20 Ne detruu pro manĝaĵo la faron de Dio. Ĉio estas ja pura; sed estas malbone por tiu, kiu manĝas kun ofendo.
Do not for the sake of food undo the work of God. All things indeed are clean; but that which is pure is evil for that man who eateth so as to be an occasion of sin.
21 Estas bone ne manĝi viandon, nek trinki vinon, nek fari ion, per kio via frato ofendiĝas.
It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is put in danger of falling, or is made weak.
22 Tiun fidon, kiun vi havas, havu por vi mem antaŭ Dio. Feliĉa estas tiu, kiu ne juĝas sin mem per tio, kion li aprobas.
Thou hast faith; have it to thyself before God. Happy is he who doth not condemn himself in that which he alloweth.
23 Sed tiu, kiu estas sendecida, estas kondamnita, se li manĝas; ĉar li manĝas ne el fido, kaj ĉio, kio ne estas el fido, estas peko.
But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because he doeth it not from faith; but every thing which is not from faith is sin.
