1 Al la ĥorestro. Por la gitito. Psalmo de la Koraĥidoj. Kiel ĉarmaj estas Viaj loĝejoj, ho Eternulo Cebaot!
To the Chief Musician. On "the Gittith." For the Sons of Korah. A Melody. How lovely are thy habitations, O Yahweh of hosts!
2 Mia animo deziras kaj sopiras al la kortoj de la Eternulo; Mia koro kaj mia korpo sentas ravon pri la viva Dio.
My soul, longeth—yea even languisheth—for the courts of Yahweh, —My heart and my flesh, shout aloud for a Living GOD.
3 Eĉ birdo trovas domon kaj hirundo neston por si, En kiu ĝi tenas siajn idojn: Viajn altarojn, ho Eternulo Cebaot, mia Reĝo kaj mia Dio.
Even the sparrow, hath found a home, And, the swallow, a nest for herself, where she hath laid her young, Thine altars, O Yahweh of hosts, My king and my God!
4 Feliĉaj estas tiuj, kiuj loĝas en Via domo: Ili laŭdas Vin konstante. (Sela)
How happy are they who abide in thy house, —Still are they praising thee. (Selah)
5 Feliĉaj estas la homoj, kies forto estas en Vi, Kaj en kies koro estas Viaj vojoj;
How happy the men whose strength is in thee, Festive processions are in their heart.
6 Kiuj pasas tra la Valo de Ploro kaj faras tie fontojn, Kaj la printempa pluvo ĝin kovras per benoj;
Passing through the balsam-vale, A place of fountains, they make it, Yea, with blessings, is it covered by the early rain.
7 Ili iras de forto al forto, Aperas antaŭ Dio sur Cion.
They go from strength to strength, Each one appeareth before God in Zion.
8 Ho Eternulo, Dio Cebaot, aŭdu mian preĝon; Aŭskultu, ho Dio de Jakob! (Sela)
O Yahweh, God of hosts, hear thou my prayer, —Give hear, thou God of Jacob. (Selah)
9 Nia ŝildo, vidu, ho Dio, Kaj rigardu la vizaĝon de Via sanktoleito.
Our Shield, behold thou, O God, And look upon the face of thine Anointed One.
10 Ĉar tago en Viaj kortoj estas pli bona, ol mil aliaj: Mi preferas stari sur la sojlo de la domo de mia Dio, Ol loĝi en tendoj de malvirto.
For better is a day in thy courts, than a thousand, I choose rather to stand at the threshold in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of lawlessness.
11 Ĉar Dio, la Eternulo, estas suno kaj ŝildo; Favoron kaj honoron donas la Eternulo; Li ne domaĝas bonon al tiuj, kiuj iras en virto.
For, a sun and shield, is Yahweh God, —Grace and glory, will Yahweh give, He will not withhold what is good, from them who walk without blame.
12 Ho Eternulo Cebaot, bone estas al la homo, kiu Vin fidas.
O Yahweh of hosts! How happy the man who trusteth in thee!
